Considering that Apple and Amazon have a bit of a head start, I am surprisingly pleased with this little unit. I know that there are now many options when deciding to cut the cable, but this one is definitely worth giving a try.

Our family uses it for basic movie watching. Only thing I can't figure out it when it is plugged into my tv, my tv will turn on and off by itself. Have to unplug chromecast to prevent this.

This is my second chromecast and I am very satisfied with its capabilities. I mean if you have the right phone you can mirror your screen to a TV. Also there are sufficient apps to keep you entertained from Netflix to Hulu Plus.

My wireless gateway wasn't fully compatible so still trying to get my device setup. I know I will be totally happy when all is done. Difficulty was with my service provider not the device.

What drew me to this was the price. It's hard to beat $35 for what you're getting. I've been streaming videos from my Motorola Android powered phone through YouTube since day one. It works great once you have everything setup, which did take some time to do and a couple tries. I don't always keep it plugged up since it does get warm to the touch after some use but other than that it's great. You do need an HDMI port and one USB port for power to use this though.

So far it is doing what it says it should do. The video can be a bit choppy if it is playing for a long period of time. Kids love to see the games on the tablet/phone on a bigger screen.

Works as expected. Use primarily for Pandora, Netflix and YouTube. All work very well. I have it plugged into my amp its nice to be able to pull up Pandora on the phone the click to cast it and it will turn the amp on and to the correct input, that's a HDMI function of course, but nice that it works so well. It can cast Chrome browser too but how well that works depends on the device for example a laptop is better than a tablet but it does work on a tablet.

I found it somewhat difficult. Pandora was fairly easy to set up. But I still haven't figured out how to get movies or my laptop to show on my TV, after a couple hours of reading & trying.

This was easy to set up and use. Just followed the instructions. On the down side, it only works with a limited number of apps life youtube.

I really Love the Realplayer Cloud app. it's really easy to use but it only gives you 2 gigs of space to start then additional space cost.. (and for movies 2 gig's isn't jack),, plex isn't near as user friendly as realplayer .. hard to figure out.. There's some GREAT tutorials on you tube about it now..but I got 15 movies on my plex server on my pc without batting an eyelash... so once you get the hang of plex it rules.. I still got a month left of 30 gigs on my realplayer cloud.. I may just let that fizzle out and just use plex..

Chromecast is exactly as advertised... works great and at a great price. I have to admit, its a little more cumbersome than I thought it would be to use my phone to select and launch shows (compared to a Roku)... but still, works exactly like it said it would. Be aware, Netflix and Hulu apps don't currently provide an way to go to the next show once current show complete... this is 100% an app issue that I expect will be fixed soon... not a Chromecast issue.

This is the cheapest, easiest way I know of to get Netflix, Amazon, etc. to stream from your computer to your TV. All it requires is an HDMI port and either a USB port or a 110V since it includes a USB "wall wart" power source.

This is a great product that can link a smartphone, tablet or laptop via bluetooth. It's a great way to use your main or extra LED as either a digital photo frame or just to stream movies or shows through other electronics.

Chromecast is very helpful if you are already subscribed to major video services like Netflix, HBO, Hulu, or Plex. It also streams You Tube, Google Play movies, Google Music, and other apps like Pandora, etc directly to your TV at up to 1080 resolution. For other internet based apps, you can street directly from a PC via the Chrome browser, although the quality isn't as high as through the official apps. Only downside is that the number of officially supported apps is still relatively low compared to other popular streaming devices.

The streaming is good and of good quality. There are times it takes longer to recognize the connection and it needs the extension to play it properly if the router is not close to the TV.

Worked great right out the box. Watch videos from YouTube and other apps. But the apps are limited so far.

Its one of the cheapest streaming devices on the market. Yes it doesnt have a controller like many of the streaming devices but you can use your cell phone or tablet as a remote. It doesnt take up much space or energy which is great. Many apps communicate with the device very easily. I use the chromecast with my dell and my macbook along with my ipad and my acer tablet. I also use my galaxy s5 and s4. Everything i have used works flawlessly with the chromecast. I get to mirror my phones as well which is an android feature.

I really love my new Google - Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player. The box it comes in is colorful, playful and very informative. The black sleek look is captivating and I can't wait to take it out of the box and try it out.

Chromecast is a great product for less than half of the cost as most competitor products. Simply love this. Easy to install and easy to use.

The instructions and information provided are bare minimum. The full features would be difficult to ever realize but the minimum is still a great supplement to current multimedia options.
