Google ChromeCast is exactly as advertised. Economical and easy video streaming from any device. Some home networks require some router settings changed to make sure it does not lose connection.

Google even gave $6 back in playstore credit if you purchased on of these before 2/15. Just make sure you have enough HDMI ports on your TV, Between this, Xbox and other things..it gets crowded.

The Chromecast is an excellent streaming device that is getting more app support everyday. Highly recommended if you have an iPad/iPhone and an HDTV! No expensive Apple TV or adapter required.

I wanted to easily watch laptop stuff and pictures from my phone and samsung tablet. Requires Google chrome browser on windows to view web. Also requires apps to support it on iPhone and android. Phones/tablets. Ironically android google chrome on samsung tab 2 is NOT supported. But overall if u want a smart tv capability for 35 bucks this is 4 U. TV needs to have HDMI input for this to work.

Just purchased a Dell Venue Pro 8 which I really like, however it does not have an HDMI output. The Chromecast enables content to be sent from a Tablet or Computer via WiFi and Chrome browser. Even for a Computer or Tablet which have an HDMI output, Chromecast removes the need for them to be physically wired to a TV.......more portable. I have found that the WiFi router needs to be at least 300mbps for reliable performance. Chromecast only operates on the 2.4Ghz band.

Family enjoys! Provides additional entertainment for family. Daughter enjoys for streaming her favorite apps.

I cancelled my daughters cable box in her room and purchased chrome for her bedroom. Now there is no extra expense for her to watch movies and tv shows or even look at pictures from her tablet.

This product streams wirelessly really well. It works seamlessly when using a Chromecast app. When casting a video over other websites, there can be delays at times, but still works pretty well.

Great for casting from apps to my tv, only downside is the screen cast connection isn't too great as sometimes it disconnects but that mode is still in beta

Our family loves the Google - Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player, we use it regularly to watch Netflix and my children love it because they can watch their favorite YouTube videos on the TV.

Works great once installed. Very affoardable. Great way to access YouTube on your TV.

I purchased this as a gift for my family and they're able to stream movies from their laptop or MacBook to their TV. It loses it connection, but very rarely.

This is a great product in terms of ease of use, price, etc. but because it is limited as far as what is compatible with it is the biggest drawback since there are so many means of watching programs nowadays. It only works with HBOGO, YouTube, Netflix, so you have to pay for the majority of the things you watch through it.

I enjoy the luxury of being able to search movies from my devices and wirelessly stream them to my tv. I own a smart tvbut with this addition I enjoy Netflix, Hulu, etc. more often than before.

With Wifly connection, it can play most video with HDMI input. However, if you use Windows laptops to connect, it merely offer 720 definition.That is a pity.
