I have some issues to connect to my Wifi network. For Livestream doesn't work. I had a bigger expectations of this product. Is good, but not good enough.

This little device is terrific. It is compact, efficient, almost hides itself, is so easy to set up and delivers a monster quality image and sound. You can use your computer to find something that interests you and with the flick of your mouse "cast" that image to your big screen TV. Then, you can go off and use your PC for other things while your watching the TV. I love this. But, we have been wowed by Google over and over again and this makes it one more time.

great product for streaming youtube and netflix videos to TV. But need to have more apps to extend its usability.

For around $30 this is a good deal. There are suppose to be more benefits added soon and I hope there is. I bought this hoping there would be an easy way to stream files from the computer, but so far it looks like you have to pay for an app to do this, although I could be wrong. All said, so far it is worth it.

Very good to see your phone/tablet screen on a TV. I used it from various floors from my house (4 stories) and image on phone was still being displayed on tv,

With the Google Chromecast Media Player our Netflix watching has improved significantly. No more streaming interruptions which we falsely blamed on a poor broadband connection. My husband is able to stream photos from his iPhone directly to be watched on TV.

Bought this for the fun of it. We can access Netflix and other programming via our DVD player. Our upstairs TV is just a TV. Therefore, we use this device to beam shows from our phone to the TV. I have experienced some connectivity issues. For example, after initial set up it continues to ask me to set the device up. Set up is easy but kind of annoying. Would make a good stocking stuffer.

It took about 5 minutes to setup. If you have an android it's probably way faster. If you have netflix it's great. Now I can watch all my shows on the big tv.

Can cast from anything connected to the house network: phone, laptops, even desktop. Computer power can affect cast quality but that's not chrome's fault.

What a great way for Chrome users to cast and stream content onto the big screen from your laptop! The immediate connection allows users to access their HDMI monitor (TV) to enjoy streaming!

Good device! Easy to setup and use. but only a few applications support this device.

Overall a great product. Useful for being able to broadcast things from your phone to your TV. After the beta update, it will be possible to mirror your phone screen to your TV. Takes a little work in order to get movie files saved locally from the phone to play on the TV, but once it is setup it is a breeze.

works great for the price, I have 2, one for me and another for my gf, there is also the the exp feature to mirror your device, work with smart phones and laptops and desktop with wireless card.

Cast mainly via ipad which works well. Can cast xfinity but only via pc or laptop. If u have an very old computer though the casting will be very unstable

for $35 you can stream most video content from your phone and/or tablet and in some cases you can mirror your laptop screen on tv with no long cords. Once you plug it in you never need to touch it again. I can't see anything wrong with that. The only thing its missing is support from xfinity go and cinemax and starz. It works for all android and ios devices. this is good stuff for $35.

On my brother's recommendation I got this to stream movies from my laptop. When I read the instructions online it looked pretty complicated to install. So I let it sit for a few weeks. Then when I had a little time i plugged it in and it ended up being very easy to install. To be completely honest, I haven't actually used it for movies yet. But the installation was easy.

I really like this product that Google produces. This is my 2nd one and I use them all the time. It works great with my apple, Samsung and Google products. I wish I had this many years ago.

Google Chromecast is an amazing product. I used a Windows8 Laptop to setup and in less than 10 minutes I was watching Youtube video on my TV through Chromecast. My laptop acted like a remote control, I can do fast forward or rewind from my laptop while watching video on my TV. The only problem that I have is once the chrome browser were the video was launched from is closed you lose the control on the video no more rewind or fast forward there after.

This is the best smart TV idea so far. Many companies (Apple, Roku, etc) tried to create small computers, but we already have powerful computer in our tablet and smart phones. So this one is just a connectivity device using the CPU in our tablet, phone to do the hard work. It is very easy to setup. I hope it has wider application support. I think there is more to come since Google has just released Chromecast SDK. I would recommend one devise per TV at home.

The Google Chromecast is a great idea, such as is the Roku and others. My main problems are the fact that on average internet speeds it lags on video playback, and depends on apps/browsers to work, missing a dedicated remote controller. The browser mirror function is still in beta as of the writing of this review, and lags a lot, i.e. one or two seconds to scroll the page. If you manage to get past these annoyances, the Chromecast does work, and it's hard to beat this price!
