This is a cool item.. Easy to set up and easy to use ,,,,,When doing any kind of research that involves youtube I can get videos from my phone or tablet and watch them on my bigscreen.... As well as watchig movies from other sites,, Im gonna buy a few of these for gifts this holiday season,,,

ChromeCast is simple to setup up, nice price and size. It's a easy way to convert any HDTV into SmartTV.

I bought this for my Dad that always was mad when his teams games were pre-empted by the game prior going to overtime. He can now watch on Watch ESPN until the game switches over.

I dont think review is required for Google Chromecast as I have seen this product almost every friend and family house I visit, I should have bought this device 2-3 years ago.

I really like the device ,compact and works well on multiple devices. I have a IPad Mini and PC and I have used it successfully on both. I have not tried movies yet. One advance I would REALLY like to see with this device is to have the option of using it to "cast" a DVD or Cd from my PC. Also from a USB drive. I can hook up an HDMI cable to my pc and play my craft/movie DVDs but it would be so easy if I could eliminate that cable.Great value!

The first one I got was terrible. It would take stay connected to wifi. I brought it back and got another one and it was perfect. I havent had any issues since I got the new one

I use it to pull up photos and then share to my big screen for customers to see tire tread patterns, to pin point certain parts or to put wiring diagrams large enough to see.

The device connects to the Internet through a Wi-Fi connection to the user's home network. Chromecast works in two ways, both of which stream content to a television. You can put your movies from you android phones to your HDTV as long as you have HDMI outlet in your HDTV

I didn't do as much research as I should have. I expected to be able to stream all video on my TV. However only YouTube and Netflix stream without lag. But that is a great deal of content available for the price. Also I thought it would be cool to have when on vacation but setting it up without full admin control of the wi-fi may be needed. All in all I do like it a lot.

Need to approve website to TV stream. Cheaper option to Apple TV .

The Chromecast makes any entertainment unit with a HDMI port an instant streaming system. Was so easy to setup, took only a few minutes follow the instructions. The ability to control with cellphone allows me to monitor what children are watching in the other room. The ability to stream web pages from my own computer keeps my area free from other eyes when I have things to show them. I just can't wait till more streaming option are available.

Can't wait for this to have some more supported apps. Some connectivity issues at times but has gotten much better with software updates. Cheapest alternative to streaming netflix ect on to your tv with ease.

Bought 2 on sale (great price at $10 off). One installed and working great in my daughter's apartment. But the one installed at my house required major adjustments from my wireless router: either streamed with Chromecast, or use 2 other laptops to hook up to wireless router, but can't do all at the same time! Can't figure out why from all the help sites and forums!

I own 5 of these and keep finding more reasons and places to put them. I have them on multiple networks at home and we use them at work. Great device as long as your network is up and it can reach the Internet. I wish it would work without WiFi and without constant Internet, that would make it far better. Having said that, you can't beat the price for what it does.

In today's time your devices need to be seamless. The 4 stars is because it's performance when it's in a working environment is awesome. If it could stream 4k it would deserve 5. At my home using a belkin ac router it worked great in any room I tested it in. That location is an "Android" home. Pc computers. No apple products. The chromecast was controlled by any computer on the network or by the Android phones. Always connected always worked. Any computer 24/7. Fast forward 1 month. This is where the 4 stars comes in. I gave the Chromecast away to my mother for a gift. I changed over to Apple. iPad. MBP. Iphone 6. She uses a Samsung tablet. So it made sense. I now have Apple TV. And she has a Chromecast. Now however, when I'm at her place and I'd like to control the Chromecast from my Apple devices, only the MBP does so effortlessly. The iPad and the iPhone both have connection issues. The issue is that you don't have the option to "cast". They are both on the same network. But cannot see each other in order to cast. All hardware is up to date on firmware and all software is updated to the newest versions to avoid any conflicts. Resetting the router does not help. It's a minor issue but still not as easy as it should be. 4k streaming would make up for the connection issues with Apple devices.

Works well for things like Netflix also content sharing from other devices. User interface could be a little better but overall a good product.

Got these for kids for connecting to TV. Daughter even managed to use customer service when their network router was changed out to reset the device without having to call Dad.
