Bought this to watch Roku on bedroom tv..not only can i watch it there but once it's set up I can watch it on any tv with the right port!

The onscreen setup instructions were confusing and don't explain that you connect to the WiFi of the Chromecast to do the setup. Once I figured that out everything worked flawlessly. I used it for Netflix and web browsing in Chrome. It would be nice to be able to share my iPad/computer screen through the device but hopefully that feature will be added in the future.

I think the Chromecast may be just what some people need, but for me, I like the Roku much better. For those who may not realize it, you need to do everything on your phone first, then cast to your TV. So you will need Plex, or HBO go or whatever app you would use to get the video you want to watch first, before casting to your TV. Just seems like a middle man to me, I returned it and got a Roku instead and am much happier!

I bought the Chromecast to add Hulu Plus and Netflix to an entertainment center without a blueray player with smart apps. The quality is much better than the blueray player I use on a different TV. Very simple to setup and using my iPhone as the remote works great. Going to purchase a 2nd one to use instead of the blueray player apps soon.

Work great no lag time. But can't get to work off all my devices older Samsung tablets are iPad but it may be me not being smart enough.

If your TV does not the option of having Netflix, Hulu, etc...and you want to add the option to your TV; then this item is a must have.

Only issue is that description says it will change source on tv automatically when a signal hits hate stick...and that doesn't happen.

I got one for both my son (15) & daughter (23) for use with their individual electronics. they both have been very happy with the product

Good for what it is. Can't mirror what you see on your phone or laptop. You can only mirror what you see on the chrome browser. The access to apps works just as advertised

I use the chromecast almost daily to stream you tube videos or movies and netflix. it's an amazing tool to see streaming videos on the tv instead of on the phone or ipad

This is my 2nd chromecast and I love it. Great for watching youtube and other apps on TV. New apps seem to be added constantly. Great for streaming from chromebook to TV.

X-mas gift for family out of state where TV coverage and options are not great. Allows parents to screen and monitor what the kids watch.

I am so happy with my purchasee of this product. It works so well with android and apple products. It is definitely much better to watch shows on my tv than my computer.

As an early adopter this product does not yet do all of the things I want it to, but I can certainly see the possibilities for the future. I want it to the point that anything I can see anything on the screen that is on my phone or computer that I am casting from. It's not quite there yet. I like it enough to have bought several for myself and to give as gifts.

I love it!! I'm no longer stuck to the screen on my phone with the Chromecast you can enjoy everything on a bigger screen (TV) PLUS share the screen with family & friends.

Great for the $$. I would recommend to a friend. Easy to install.

Have several Google Chromecast units in the house. Very handy for my family since four inhabitants use iPods, iPads, or iPhones to stream their favorite shows via Netflix.

Works great on our newer tv, had difficulty hooking it up to the older tv. works great for my son to watch Netflix and You Tube videos

It works well if you want to send content from you phone/tablet/Chromet/etc to your TV. It's not a standalone player like a Roku though,

I like this item, it's very reasonably price if you get it with the Netflix promotion. Otherwise it is still affordable for those who do not have a smart TV. I already have Smart TV that has Netflix and many other apps. But I am hoping that soon it will be easy for you to stream any video content from your tablet/mobile device onto your TV with this little gadget.
