I was a bit disappointed with this device. I understood it to be a wonder device that would allow transmission of all types of media from computers and smart phones, etc. When I got it, I initially tried to get my Android phone to connect. It did! What it didn't do was share anything with the device. After several exhaustive hours of searching, I found that you had to download some specific apps to work with this. And, by the way, Google Chrome for Android doesn't share with this device (Yes, that's right! Google's own browser on it's own operating system does not allow sharing with Chromecast--part of the reason I wanted this device...I thought). Chrome on my laptop did work, however you need to install an extension and it isn't clear anywhere that you have to do this. I would read more before buying this product. There's lots to know to get it to perform, unless you just want an inexpensive way to access Netflix, etc, on your HDMI equipped TV.

Does its job with no issue. Wish they could somehow use the power from the TV though as you need an additional outlet and the supplied cable is not very long.

Works really good, but it would be great to have one at works for Google and Amazon. Only have a limited number or HDMI ports

I originally bought the Chromecast to stream March Madness from my phone to my TV. It did serve this function, but constantly lost connection with my WiFi, and after about 30 minutes of constant playback the quality of picture would go down to, what looked like, 240p which made players look like a blurred mess. This product works well for games, pictures, or just wanting a larger screen for Internet searches.

I mainly use it for Netflix and YouTube .. It's a great time saver when you don't want to turn on your computer or game system to watch something on the Internet

I have 2 of these now because my husband kept stealing the one in the living room to use in the bedroom. You can name them, so its easy to tell which one you want to use. They do not interfere with each other when using both at the same time, but you can not cast the same show on both at the same time. Chromecast works best with my cellphone and netflix but you can cast your computer screen with it also.

life is made easy with chromecast. it is easy to use. though initial setup took lot of time...but after that it is perfet..

Chromecast has been great for my family to stream such things as Netflix, Pandora, and everything that I have downloaded on my Google Drive. If you can pull it up on Chrome, you can stream it. Setting it up on my TV was very easy. All I had to do was plug it into one of my free HDMI ports and then install the app on my phone (can also be installed on iPad, etc). Great product for a cheap price.

Arrived promptly from Best Buy. Nice package with needed cords. Installation for most would be very simple, but I had only large desktops with network storage on Ethernet and wireless router. Had to fire up borrowed laptop with WiFi to get it to join my wireless router network. Android app install and setup was seamless, but I miss the easy pause, back up 10 or 30 seconds for replay of a scene or sports play.

Love my Chromecast...even bought a second one. If you have a Samsung Galaxy, it's great to share your content, and even watch movies from your handheld device.

Easy to set up out of box. Grwat picture quality. Easy streaming from tablet and phone.

Works well, and has allowed us to stream movies to a specific tv. Price was a little high.

Always works. Always netflix. All the time. But seriously I can put my screen on the tv via wifi. And I can watch netflix with my phone as the remote. It's amazing.

The one problem is your sound is a little behind the video You can see the picture and the sound is not sync with the video.

The Chrome-cast is a fantastic streaming device and with the screen mirror feature you can see your mobile games on your big screen. Big win here for Google.

I was a little nervous about buying this product. But after reading all the reviews, I knew this was the one for me. I love it!

I love the chromecast device. You can still talk, text, and access other apps on your phone while casting videos.
