Also great for easy computer demonstrations (still in Beta but haven't had any problems mirroring a computer screen). Don't know how I lived without it.

It is very nice and useful for my phone.. But it slows down the Internet a lot... I don't know if it's just me though

Not renting an extra box from the cable company for a second house tv is totally worth it! Saving money and we still get to watch all our regular shows.

First, I only give 5stars to items that are mind-blowing or world changing, so 4 stars is an excellent rating IMHO. Very easy to use, great for parents of active children (I.e. Football, Baseball, Orchestra or music recitals) allows you to VERY EASILY watch home video's. Just started using it, but so far it has been great.

This will be temperamental - when it works, its great, but not consistent. Can't be beat for the cost.

I purchased a dell venue 7830 tablet and could not view the contents on my TV. I then purchased the Chrome and viola!

The three star rating is mainly because of Bestbuy's response to my problem of not receiving a download credit for Google that was to be included in the purchase. This is a cheaper and easier alternative to the Apple TV, Roku, and similar devices that can transmit the Internet into any HDTV with an HDMI port. The quality is good and setup was simple to understand. The apps and capabilities of this device, however, are limited to a handful of items. It can transmit webpages from a Google Chrome if downloaded correctly but can lose signal sometimes if it is a large file or video. I also did not receive my credit for $6 of Google Play credit from Bestbuy after calling and emailing them several times. Based on this experience, I would be cautious to buy anything from Bestbuy that needs to be downloaded from one of their emails. Overall, the Chromecast is a good choice for beginners wanting a "smart" HDTV experience.

Bought a Chromecast for my son(11y) for Christmas so that he could watch Netflix on his new TV I bought him via his iPod5. I bought it on a whim and he wasn't expecting it nor the tv. He hooked it up and got it setup by himself and thinks it's the coolest thing. If you have a laptop you can cast your webpage to the tv. It would be nice if they allow tablet devices to do that Chrome also.

Just make sure you have a strong wifi connection. It works great at my house. I've seen it work poorly with a weak wifi

My roommate had one and it was great. When I finally started building my own entertainments system, I knew I had to have one for myself. It's easy to set up and I definitely recommend it especially if you are a Netflix, Youtube, and HBO Go subscriber.

This is a useful gadget for displaying web content on your big screen TV. Though other devicesare available to do the same thing, this is likely the least expensive way to go. I use it a lot with Netflix along with free content (Hulu, PBS video etc.etc.) and it works very well. I liked mine well enough to buy two more as gifts.

Easy set up and allows you to streamline easily from youtube, pandora and others

A little challenging to install, range is not the best, but the price is right.

I bought 3 already and planning to buy another one. Very easy to set up. HD streaming from Netflix is at the palm of your hand. Streaming online content is awesome.

Cheap, works great , especially in an extra bedroom.

This device has been amazing, I was looking for a better way to stream media over the pricy Google Smart TV's. Bought one of these to try and use and ended up buy one for every TV in my house, and even one for my girlfriend because she loved using it when she came over. I highly recommend buying and using this product reguardless if you are an avid Android user like me or iphone...

This seems like a good product. It was as good as the next. We seemed to be able to set it up with a minimum of stress.

It didn't take long to get this Chromecast product up and running. It seems to upload to my TV from my laptop quicker than what my Smart TV came with.
