I wanted to stream videos on my TV and did not want to connect my lappy using the HDMI cable, as it would hinder my work. Chrome cast is an awesome way to do it. Works well with many Apps and its amazing with the ChromeCast Casting App where you can cast the whole web page. Loving the product....!!!!

I seriously don't feel a lack of apps. I have a PS3 that I used to use for streaming Netflix, but this is faster, easier and it turns on the tv for me. When I'm home alone I blast my music all over the house rather than carry my phone around in my pocket while I play with the dogs which was dangerous to the phone! So Chromecast has made life easier. If only it also turned the tv off!

I found this to be a very good product to put in the spare bedrooms. Although, I find Apple TV to be easier to use.

This little device is amazing! Set up is super easy, and it works flawlessly.

I travel often, this gives me the opportunity to watch shows that I have recorded via my tablet. The set up was very easy; however, I have had one instance where an extension cord was needed to power the device. The ones around the television in the hotel were all being used. Great device that I would highly recommend.

The chromecast is an awesome addition to any house. It is cheap enough to simply try out. Only works with limited apps for now but Google is working on more apps that the chromecast will work on. I use it to stream Netflix from my Nexus 7 to my TV. Clear 1080p HD. Looks better than some TV stations. Great pick up at 35 bucks.

This product is amazing. You can send videos straight to any TV one is hooked up to from things like Netflix and Hulu or YouTube. More and more apps are being added to the list of compatibility. They have options to even send videos from your phone to the TV however these are glitchy at times. Google is working on fixing that and more developers are being added. A definite must.

i bought this Google Chromecast (1st. Gen) last year. It is very simple to install connecting it to a HDMI port, and to configure the WiFi access. With this device you will convert your standard LCD TV in a Smart TV, accessing to your preferred internet content, like Netflix. You can also mirror your smartphone screen to your TV. Very recomendable.

Chromecast is great. Plenty of Apps. Definitely get this if you're TV is not a smart TV. This will make your TV even better than any smart TV.

Works great but only through chrome my old WiDi worked with everything. I cannot watch movies I have down loaded

You can watch videos, courses from Coursera, comedy central without ads... and the list goes on... if you have a smartphone, this is a no brainer.

No mirroring for apple devices , Cheap price compared to Roku and Firestick

my wife can do this one and get it right. I had no problem reading the instructions. My Dad always said the best products have the smallest manual.

Although I have apple and PC products, having a regular tablet have the capability of being mirrored and casting from multiple devices is amazing.

I like the ability to watch shows from this week, and also to find shows that I never had the opportunity to watch.

Google Chromecast is cheaper than compare to other leading brands. Could not share screen of my IPAD AIR on my TV.

Overall I like this device. It allows me to close my computer or continue working while allowing me to broadcast youtube videos. I haven't been able to set it up on multiple devices (such as iphone, ipad). The support experience around this was pathetic. I am able to seamlessly broadcast this from my mac with relative ease.

I really love how the price is very cheap for such a good product. It is great when it comes to screen mirroring.

Need a decent Wi-Fi signal or it stalls,otherwise it's a great device to stream content from your phone or tablet.

I bought this product for my sons room. It works but the iPad I had, it was a little slow to stream onto his TV.
