Works ok if it is plugged directly in a TV. However, if you use an HDMI cable between it and the TV, the picture is not stable. Moreover, if you use to drive multiple devices through an HDMI splitter, the picture becomes black. Apparently, its output signal strength is very low. I tried to use a repeater, but it did not help much with the multiple devices configuration.

I had some trouble at the beginning with the Netflix app but everything is working now. Have no complaints

The device works as I need it to. Nothing fancy but I am able to stream my Netflix and Plex content from my phone or tablet and not have any issues. Only draw back is that is needs another device and does not stream any content on its own.

This is great, works with my Apple, Android and Windows 8 devices. Bought a few as Christmas gifts too. Waiting for an extension for mobile devices to mirror Chrome browsing instead of just apps. But works well on my Windows 8 laptop and for streaming the kids Netflix. Can't beat the price compared to Apple TV!

Was trying to decide between a google chromecast or a Roku streaming stick. What ultimately pushed me to get a google chromecast is its mirroring capabilities, which to my knowledge Roku does not have yet. Super easy to set up and overall a very good buy if one does not mind not having a dedicated remote.

I have Roku so I didn't think that I'd need it. However, since it was so affordable, I got it anyway and boy am I glad that I did! We cut our cable cord so we just my Chromebook via page cast to watch the Super Bowl on our TV. Set up was very easy and I did not have any problem casting YouTube or other webpages onto my TV. You can't go wrong with this nifty gadget.

Fun toy for the person has everything. Stream from most devices with ease

Nice product. A little miss leading because you have to have a USB port to keep the unit powered. Makes actually use it a little bit of a hassle because you have to make sure you have access to a USB port or power outlet available to use. Doesn't always stay connected or stay connected. Overall a good product.

This is a great and easy way to stream media content from various devices to your TV. I use it to stream media content from my phone, PC, laptop, and tablet to my living room TV and stereo. I am able to enjoy and share my media content from a large video display and power audio system, which would otherwise be limited to the capabilities of my personal devices.

If you stream any type of media and dont have a smart tv or xbox etc chrome cast will do it all for you for a tiny fraction of the price

Got this as a gift and wasn't sure what to expect. Set up is easy and its a great way to watch MLB games!

Great media device on a budget. It is very easy to use. I wish it was truly wireless possibly with a rechargeable battery and to use the plug if need be. Since its still in beta stages it would be nice to stream the whole device not just the Chrome browser. It would have been great for a webex I was doing. Not as easy to stream from am ipad, simpler on the laptop.

I really like my Chromecast. I bought it because I wanted a cheap and flexible option to replace the computer I had serving web content to my TV. Chromecast fit the bill. Within five minutes of receiving it, I was already watching YouTube and Netflix content. I was also excited about the feature that allowed me to cast any content from a Chrome tab to my television, but unfortunately this hasn't worked as well. Video often freezes for me, which according to support happens with laptops that have Radeon cards with dual-switch capability. I hope they make a fix soon. I also hope sites like HBOGO, ESPN, Hulu, and Twitch.tv get their Chomecast native support soon, as that's what you need to use the Chromecast with your smart phone. At the end of the day, I think this product will improve with time, and I've already gotten my money's worth.

I purchased this for casting from devices in an exercise room. Having other streaming devices, I was excited to see what Google has come up with. This thing was nothing but trouble! Install and network set up was reasonably easy, and it worked great. Every time I would go to use it, though, it would prompt me to set up all over again. The only fix was to uninstall the app on all devices and then re-install the app to get it to sync up properly. I would work great, then repeat the process all over again. The Chromecast help page was no help either. I just sent me in circles and gave no answers. Maybe it was just a lemon, but I won't chance buying another one.
