It is not compatible with many other than YouTube, Netflix and Hulu. Also, it is buffering a lot when it is played from google chrome, even after reducing the streaming quality. I am very much upset with the product. Apple TV is far better even though little bit expensive.

Worked perfect right out of the box. Easy to set up and use. Wish I had more Apps on my phone that would use this device.

For the price it's a good start. It's a bit slow and drops wifi signals randomly. It can be easily hidden behind a TV. Netflix takes a while to start and using the phone apps can take a while. Given updates are coming this product has a lot of potential and for the price hard to beat.

It works well, has a decent app base, and I use it every day. I have purchased 6 to date, 3 for myself and 3 for friends.

Out of the box, it is easy to set up. Hulu casts well from devices but not some movie apps I've tried. Easy to travel and use in hotels and condos. The tutorial pages were helpful too. The price is about the same everywhere, but I used a 5 dollar Best Buy credit to lower price.

I like being able to control what I am watching with my phone. The apps are loaded on to your phone and works seamlessly.

Apps are being built to be supporting chromecast now- and it is a amazing casting tool and there is no buffering at all

I bought this so i wouldnt have to connect my laptop via HDMI cable to my tv. We are an internet only house and stream alot of movies. So far the product works as expected. There have been some lagging from the laptop to the tv, but so far nothing that makes me want to throw it out.

Have had only slight "download" delays but that's not likely related to the product itself.

I own mostly apple products. This was cheap and purchased for a spare room. It worked with the apple products but was very limited. I'd definitely recommend if you have an android phone, but ended up returning it and going with an apple tv and moving that roku to the spare room.

Chromecast is great, but I wish I could cast anything and everything on my screen to my TV.

Chromecast is one of the best pieces of technology I've never owned. It's extremely easy to set up and requires no control. You control it with your smartphone, how cool is that? This little object plugs in to the HDMI port behind your tv and you can begin streaming almost instantly. Netflix, pandora, YouTube and others. Super fast!

Although I have a Smart TV, there are times the connection are not great. Having a Google Chromecast is a great back up for my streaming purposes like watching Netflix, Hulu, You Tube and more. A great addition to have, regardless of having a Smart TV, which is not always "Smart".

Seemed like a great streaming option, but unfortunately I have an older TV and don't have an HDMI port. Tried using a converter which gave me video but no audio! Overall the app was super easy to install and use...only thing missing was the audio! Had to return, but would have otherwise kept it if my TV was equipped with the proper port.

Perfect for casting Twitch to my big screen. Cardcast is also a fantastic game to use on it

Chromecast is a nifty little device. It took only a few minutes to attach, download the software and set up (some newer devices with Google OS come with the software pre-installed). It works on your home wifi network. Several on-line services (Netflix, Youtube for example) have a Chromecast button which easily sends the broadcast to your TV. If not, the button resides at the top of your screen and you simply click it to send any on-line content to your TV. It does need to hook into an available HDMI port on your TV. I had to connect multi-port HDMI adapter since I only had two on my TV and both were in use. Once set up you can easily move the device from one TV to another (from living room to bedroom for example) as long as that TV has an available HDMI port and is within the wifi network. The image is sharp (though dependent on your Internet speed) and sound is clear. Nice device.

I bought the Google Chromecast for my son. He loves it!!! I would recommend it!!!

Great product for the price. Easy set up. What I love about it is the phone interface where you don't need a computer. If you connect, you can still use your phone, even to watch something else, I mean you're different shows, one of the Chromecast and the phone or computer. Love it

Received item as a gift. Initial setup not as easy as outlined due to incompatibility with Apple wifi routers; however, not too difficult to resolve issue myself as I am tech savvy. Unfortunately, my family is predominantly users of Apple products, therefore desired usage is not seamless. Will primarily use for watching movies in bedroom.
