I bought this to enhance my television experience with online programming. It worked.

I bought one when the Chromecast got announced. A year later had to buy another for the new TV I got for the Kitchen.

Chromecast is the Best device you can get if you don't have a smart tv. Casting a Chrome tab to tv is the best feature. It can play any browser video. The only down side:Google should have built network content discovery to play local hard drive content on tv.

This little gadget works great! I never knew streaming movies to my tv could be so easy. You won't be disappointed.

At $35, you should have one of these on each TV. This thing is the future of smart TV. Other products have similar functionality, but are 3 or 4 times the price. Once the public Developer Kit is released, Chromecast-enabled apps will multiply like gremlins.

The Chromecast works as advertised. I use it to stream, pictures, video's, music and movies from my iPhone and iPad.

There are still a lot of apps that this device is not compatible with. You can only project the video if the app has the google chrome cast symbol. If the app does have the symbol you cannot project the video. Also, this device does not allow you to mirror the cell phone screen and project it on your tv like an Apple TV device can.

We love it, it turns any hdtv into a smart tv. You can control it with your smart phone and download apps to your tv.

It has a lot of cool factor other than that very limited practicality. Especially if all devices at home are already smart having YouTube and Netflix apps natively installed . It's a nice show off to impress friends who want share something on you tube in their mobile device.

If you own a TV and enjoy streaming, there simply is no good reason to avoid buying this, especially given the price.

I brought this for my 53 year old dad and he loves it. I would recommend this item for anyone needing a media player.
