I like to stream YouTube videos from my iPad on this Dongle. It does need to be connected to a power source

I purchased this item to put on the upstairs flat screen TV in the master bedroom because it's not a smart TV like we have in the Family room. I'm thinking of getting another one for the Kids flat screen so that they can enjoy the pleasure of watching movies without have to use the DVD player all the time.

I'd like to be able to mirror my screen but only a few apps are able to display on screen from my Samsung 8.4 tablet. Chrome browser works from my pc but not the tablet. Google says this is coming but no more info. I love the concept and the price is great.

I purchased this primarily for netflix. However, I wanted to utilize it for other things as well because I do not have premium cable TV. I am still seeking options for things to watch where I do not have to be a subscriber, such as HBO TV ect......more to come!

Great item. Allows you to cast movies, pictures anything on your tablet to be cast to television. Love it.

have an android and chrome throw anything at it... perfect for espn and sports.

Now i can cast whatever i play on my laptop and watch the same on my new 49" TV

The Chromecast is a good product and a good value. I was toying w/ returning it, but it's so easy to use I'm considering getting another one. No DLNA support yet is the biggest turn off (a BIG disappointment for me), but I suspect it'll be here in a few months.

I bought this product not too long ago thinking it would be much cheaper than purchasing a Smart tv. I was wrong for some reason my wi fi started to act up with the signal going in and out. I have Time Warner so I was really surprised my signal wasn't responding to this item. Might work for some but didn't for me

Good product when you're without a smart tv. Lots of channels and old movies.

It is very useful to share any data or video on big screen through chrome cast.

Hubby made out like a bandit for Christmas, he loves this tech gadget and I am enjoying it as much as he is

excellent for viewing youtube, movies, and mirror your computer on to your tv.

Bought one for myself and then one to give as a gift because I love it so much!

We are ditching the satellite since we only watch a few programs. The Chromecast is easy to setup and easy to use. I got i primarily for my wife so she can stream HGTV shows and her other programs that we can't get over he air. Its easy enough that she can use it and she is admittedly not a technical person.

Love this product. Was a little hard to get setup but now it works great. automatically changes the tv to the right hdmi when we start casting from any device. There are a few things that I wish I could cast but google has been expanding on this and I am sure eventually almost everything will be compatible.

I have one of these for every TV. I use Plex for all of my tv's and have no need for cable. Works great.

This is a fantastic little device. It could use more apps, but it already has a lot of good apps. The only thing I wish it would have is support for the chrome browser on smartphones. Overall, a neat device in a small package, and you gotta love the price.
