I was hoping that Chromecast would make it easier to view Internet pages and stream Aereo TV. I found that it really only limits you to Netflix and Hulu plus haven't figured out a way to use chrome cast the way I had hoped.

As stated in the summary, this inexpensive device does what it promises to do. Im hoping that at a later time, they will open the software to include one's own content from his/her computer. But for $35 its a great bargain.

The Chromcast is a wonderfully simple device. You plug it into your TV add some power and your good to go. Works very simply and support multiple apps. Just push the cast button and your done. The control from the notification drawer is great. Highly recommended!

I have tried many product for screencasting and so far this one works the best.

I have my xbox one on the downstairs tv, so i needed something to stream netflix or hbogo in my bedroom. This did so with ease. For only $30, it is a steal! The only thing i wish they would add is windows rt support. Easy and quick setup, A++ product by google.

The small google chrome is easy to initiate and relatively inexpensive. It gives access to shows that would require additional cost and subscription. We have not yet used the full features or figured out how to search for shows, but initially it is quite good...

I am trying to stream videos from chrome browser to my TV and it doesn't work well with my Vizio M502i-B1. It keeps hanging and loosing connection. The video play fine on the laptop screen but not so well on the TV.

Being an Apple TV user I was excited to buy this for my Dad for Christmas. I primarily bought this device so that my Dad could stream HD Netflix. The product works pretty much as advertised however as I had to set it up using my Dad's computer and then realized he had to always have a his laptop open and running to stream Netflix. Again, not a big deal if you have a tablet or smart phone, but Apple TV is is much easier for him as you only have to work the very simple remote. I have bought a Chromecast to use on my other TV's where I don't stream as often since the price is so good but otherwise I primarily use my Apple TV.

the need for the power cord was a surprise. rechargable?

The chromecast is what google tv should have been. The best part is the size making it easy to take it on the go with you if needed. With the numerous apps that support it like Hulu, Netflix, and my favorite Plex made the chromecast a much loved item in my house.
