Good gadget to play videos like YouTube or netflix on TV from Tablet or Smartphone, but would be better if you could put all screen contents on TV, like some cables do.

Initial set up did not work, but once I reset all my devices the set up worked

It is easy to enjoy online video on TV using the iPad.

Now that I have this and it is so stable, I can cut the cable off and save money!

It is disappointing that the latest generation of smart TVs will still not show video from websites like CBS, NBC, etc. Maybe they do this on purpose. So, the Chrome cast is an inexpensive solution to solve this challenge. Only problem is that even running from a fairly fast laptop, it is not fast enough and can be laggy. In addition, my MacBook has to really work to keep up...spinning to high speed cooling, etc. As a result, I haven't used it that much. For TVs that are NOT smart that have an HDMI connection, this is helpful to put the internet up on a big screen. For $35, it is a pretty good deal. But not perfect.

Bought this dongle to stream videos from my Samsung tablet or phone to my Samsung SMART TV. Did not work consistently. Streaming was interrupted contantly. Was supposed to be able to dual screen a movie on my tablet with my TV. Tablet streamed fine but TV couldn't keep up.

WE purchased this to be able to get netflix on our TV. It was a great investment.

Very easy to get started and use. I just plugged it in, followed the on screen instructions, and started playing from Netflix right away. This is truly an amazing little device. I am very pleased with it. I have not had any problems with connectivity or anything.

Perfect for what I needed it for. Happy that the NHL app was added this year.

The unit worked as expected and picture quality and price were good. I will probably be returning though. I think a standalone unit like Roku or Apple TV will be more useful for me. Also the interface was not that great.

This worked better than I could have ever hoped for. Sure it needs USB to power it, but most new TV's have a USB and HDMI ports. When plugged into both you would never know it was there. I usually stream music to it when having parties. Definitely worth the $35.

Christmas present for son. Now he can get movies on his TV vs watching the phone.

Works great. Simple setup powered either through the tv via USB or 110v. Must use google chrome to cast your videos from the Internet. To cast videos downloaded to your computer, the best app I found is videostream.

It appears to work most of the time although once I needed to reinstall the entire device to get it to function properly. Seems to occasionaly turn my TV on automatically sometimes (have yet to figure that one out).

I love my Chromecast! Thinking about getting another!
