Its a great gadget if you are the type who watches movies all the time. At first we were very excited because we wanted to watch movies from my mac to the tv so we figured we would get an hdmi cord and connector. Went to best buy to get said items and was convinced that the chromecast was better. Came home and watched 2 movies back to back and had no issues. After that we have been having lots of issues. Its always buffering and lags most of the time. Movie plays great on the mac without casting but once you start casting you will be annoyed on how many times it buffers and stops.

Works great. Happy with purchase. Glad it was on sale, too! Thanks Best Buy!

Google - Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player Chromecast is the easy way to enjoy online video and music on your TV. Plug it into any HDTV and control it with your existing Android smartphone or tablet, iPhone®, iPad®, or laptop. No remotes...

This is a great device for non-smart tv users as it allows them to have Netflix available directly by plugging this device in a USB port. For those having smart TVs (or newer TVs), Netflix and other apps are build in, so its not much useful for others.

Great device. I bought an AppleTV, but I decided to use that in the LR instead of BR. Didn't want to spend another $100 on another AppleTV, so I gave this a shot. I love it! It works with my iphone, my Nexus 7 and computer. Great value for the price!

Worked great right out of the box. Setup was a breeze on my network. Running Netflix or Youtube and casting from my Android phone was simple. Running it on the IPhone not so much. Iphone locked up once and several other times lost control of Netflix.

Great way to make my older LED TV "smart". Can now enjoy Wi Fi on my TV.

The chrome cast is great since it connects to so many apps and devices.

Overall great product, netflix works great. Youtube videos take time to load, if they load (I know it depends on everyone's wifi but it seems it should be quicker). Will be even better when more apps are added.

Very cool gadget, I converted my not so smart led tv into a nice smart tv

Needed a new router to get it too work, but we had a really old router.

Great because in Chile is not available yet. Price was really convenient.

My wife and I love our Google Chromecast because we can watch net flicks.

I bought this for my son and his family for Christmas and they love it!!!

I'm limited to a few websites like netflix, vudu, youtube and a few more but there are others websites that i visit to watch videos and movies I can't use chromecast that is the down part of .chromecast.

Gave the present to my kids and they liked it. I will get one for myself.

Great connection the gold amplifier that is included works really wellm

Plugged it in and turn my old sony LCD tv in to a smart tv. Picture quality very good and download speed ok, what impress me the most is the does almost the same thing as my Apple TV does but with a third of the Money a spent in the apple product.

The thing I find disappointing is that the Amazon while playing videos is not supported by Chrome. Otherwise, it's a very easy set up and use product. The major benefit is using it to project off your phone.

Takes minutes to set-up and ready for use immediately. Very easy to get picture from personal device onto a TV screen and quality is impressive. The apps that currently work with this device are stellar but will be nice when others are also compatible.
