This is a very handy item. It is very handy as well as being handy.

When we decided to get rid of our cable we looked into other options including Apple TV. At about $70 cheaper and does almost everything we need,chrome cast is awesome. I love streaming netflix from my ipad,and my husband loves the pandora.

I had a bit of difficulty setting it up because the initial install didn't take. Finding out how to clear all settings and reboot it was not in the provided installation guide. I had to research it online (press the barely visible button located on the opposite end of the USB connection for a few seconds to clear settings and restart). Once I found out how to reboot and reinstall, it worked just as advertised. I have cable and use On Demand to catch up on past episodes of my favorite series. However, sometimes a series might be pulled from the menu and is no longer available for viewing. With Chromecast, I can go to HBO GO or any other premium channel I subscribe to and find past episodes. I can now get caught up on my schedule without having to worry about how long my cable provider will keep a series on their listings.

The Chromecast was easy to set up and use. You can't beat it for the price. Only downside is that you need a USB outlet to power the unit, so if your TV doesn't have one you will need a power cord.

Works great! You would need fast internet for best quality though!

I am usually a sucker for gimmicks but this time it paid off I have no cable TV at the house and chrome cast gives me the ability to watch Netflix,YouTube, Crackle an much more on my TV with ease

I bought this for my daughter. It was a great option to regular basic cable. Set up was easy and is easy to use. Very satisfied with this product.

Google chromecast works with all my android ios and Apple computers

This is the second Chromecast in our house, and they're incredible. $35 to be able to cast 90% of the internet video that I want, without having to use long hdmi cables or anything.

We love this thing. I got an 1st edition roku and this is better.

Setup was easy. The ability to stream and use your TV to see a movie was great especially in the world of cable HBO, Showtime etc. Allows the consumer to have other options currently using cable.

It's truly plug it in and follow the easy set up directions and magically your tablet or phone screen is on your TV! Great to stream your pictures when your not watching TV or great to watch Hulu or Netflix! Less than $40. You can't beat it.

This is the best product to have if you into the latest technology.

This is similar to the wireless display capability on some Intel based laptops for transmitting audio and video to your TV, except: It works with multiple devices such as phones, tablets, laptops running IOS, Android, and Windows. It's doesn't show everything from your system like WiDI, only some applications support Chromecast. Major apps like Netflix, Youtube, Hulu, etc work. WiDi is more like a wireless second screen. Chromecast appears to link directly to your WiFi and run the supported applications without needing the device you launched it from once it starts. Your TV HDMI input area must be large enough for the device plus power cable. Mine was close, creating slight pressure on the HDMI and power connections. I like that it automatically switches inputs on the TV when launching. At this price, I bought several.
