IN the comparison of chromecast, apple tv, Amazon tv, roku, Chromcast is best choice. Price wise, its cheapest of all and same functionality. But doesn't play all youtube videos. Also throw error when casting other apps such as YuppTv.

Bought this for a Christmas gift. My niece (17 year old) loves it.

Love it! If we miss a TV show, the next day we cast it from Chrome to the tv! It's great. We cast from both of our computers with ease. We are nerds and like to have YouTube music video marathons of songs from way back when MTV was cool.

My family think that this a great gift for the entire household.

I'm picking up another one this weekend. Super simple to setup and use. I have no problems using it with an iPhone, iPad and a Samsung Galaxy S5 (Android phone). I use it as my primary method for watching Netflix. It's much simpler than waiting for the Netflix enabled blu-ray I have. I just pull up the Netflix app on my phone, pick what I want to watch and cast it over to the TV. It doesn't waste your phone's battery! Once you cast it, the Chromecast takes over the streaming so your phone doesn't have to. I also use it to cast Pandora radio. I know several other people that have them as well, everyone is fully satisfied. It's a great purchase.

Best 35 bucks I've ever spent! Super easy setup, pretty much plug and play, sign into your wifi and let it update. Work's with HBO GO, Netflix, YouTube, crackle, Hulu, chromecast extension for Google Chrome, and hopefully more to come.

Makes watching Television more enjoyable and it is easy to operate

You can appreciate this Chromecast, if you have old TV but if you own some of device (TV, receiver, DVD player, etc.) with smart internet functions, Google Chrome can not give you more. Annoying is necessary power supply (possible from USB).

It is a great device for the tech savoy and the price is right.

I like the chromecast device and was delighted to find it on sale.

I bought this for my parents and ended up buying them another device with a remote. It's great for younger folks who use smart devices for streaming media, you can switch from your tv back to your PC or device when you're on the go.

We installed the Comecast HDMI video streaming media player and immediately began enjoying videos, YouTube, Netflix and other streaming videos. Excellent performance at a tiny cost.

I have been using Chromecast for a while now and I am exceptionally pleased with it. I easily connect my iPad air and stream Netflix and YouTube. I highly recommend this product.

Pros: multiple people can control with any number of devices. Once streaming you can focus on other work on computer only thing I don't like is the desktop streaming is very slow

I use it all the time at home with a lot of different apps for the iPhone. I downloaded Plex for the iPhone and the Plex media server from my computer and I stream my music to my TV. I love this and I definitely recommend it to anybody!

While shopping around for something where i can watch my own videos from either my phone or tablets unto a tv screen i was recommended the Chromecast by Best Buy sales person and i was told that it would do the job or what i needed for. It doesn't do what i was hoping for won't play personal videos of my phone or tablets but will play apps like netflix, hulu and youtube not much useful when you have a ps3 on every room in the house where i could just use the ps3 for that. Bought the chromecast and i havent tried using it anymore jusy sitting there collecting dust!
