This is the 2nd time I bought Chromecast. First time was for myself. This time is for my friends as a gift. I like it since you can cast youtube, netflix, hulu, etc to your TV via phone, or PC.

We use our chromecast quite often and find more things to use it for all of the time. Only have one hdmi input on the TV so I plugged it into the back of the home theater amp and it works great

Set up is straight forward. Downloaded the app to my iPad, followed the instructions, and BAM! watching Netflix.

Love the chromecast it does exactly what it suppose to do. My family and me stream movies all the time. Never had any problems with this item.

Great device to buy on a cheap price. Easy to stream video and watch it on big screen. Easy to set up and user friendly

My son was excited when we purchased this item. When we use it, it buffers much of the time. Therefore, we do not use it as much as we anticipated.

At the start the packaging is outstanding. It includes everything one needs to install (extra cables, clear instructions, etc.). On screen setup guides you through installation & connection to Wi-Fi.

For what it is it was totally worth the money. The negative is streaming from the browser is hit and miss, its got a little bit of a delay with video and volume. But its beta so maybe they'll fix it.

Bought this thing to access Netflix without using my DVR. My Sony DVR has buffering issues and hangs up in the middle of movies a lot. Had a few problems configuring it. Apparently my router extension dropped out while Chromecast was updating to the latest software release and it hung up. Fortunately I found the restart button on the screen. Also, it's hard to pause the movie when the phone rings... since your IPAD has usually timed out and shut off. Once working, it's really great. Makes "not smart" flat screens smarter cheaply. Hopefully Chromecast will add more stuff in the future.

You do not need to be a tech head to set this up. It comes with simple easy to follow, step by step directions. start to watching, maybe 5 minutes? I have bought multiple Chomecasts for my house.

The device is very easy to install, setup, and use. The quality is outstanding. There are however few streaming options at this time. The popular services are supported however (Netflix, Hulu, etc.). At the price you can't beat it. As it's from Google, I expect more services and formats to be supported in the near future. There are plenty of options today though that justify picking one of these up. I'm considering getting a second one for the master bedroom - just because I'm too lazy to disconnect and move the one I have. Although it would only take a minute or less to do.

Chromecast is the perfect inexpensive device for you stream Netflix or HBO to go. It's low cost enough to purchase several for each tv in the house. However, the only downside is there is no physical remote. So you're limited to using your smartphone or tablet as controllers. Not really a big deal if you're always using your phone anyway. There is really no easy way to play local media (movies and songs stored on your local computer) with Chromecast. So if you're looking to do that, better to get a WDTV or some other device. However, if all you do is stream, this is perfect.

The Chromecast is a great streaming device that can help stream their favorite TV show or movie. If you don't have a smart TV than this is the perfect product for you. I recommend it for everyone!

So far I've used it to watch shows off of Hulu Plus & it works great. I prefer to use it with my iPod Touch-when I tried it with my laptop it was really slow.

This device is a must for fans of smartphones that dont have a smart tv. You can stream videos and some apps on your tv and control everything with your phone.

This product needs to be plugged into the wall. It does not get it's power from the HDMI port. It does not have an on-off switch. When I am watching regular TV that goes through a different HDMI port, it DRASTICALLY interferes, cutting out the picture every 30-60 seconds. I have to unplug it to stop that. Then, I have to plug it back in each time I want to use it. My ports are on the back of my TV, so this is a chore. It does do what it advertises to do.

This product works great! Opens up a whole new world of television viewing now that cable has become awful!

Ok so I cant complain much about this thing considering its cheap and does a lot. But the main reason why I got it was for the Netflix. Which only lasted for a few days! I got the gift code and it worked fine. But somehow netflix messed up and now I cant prove I had a code and they say its invalid. So that's what sucked. I did talk to best buy and they told me that there looking into it. And never herd them again. I love the product and it works great! Youtube is awesome and movies.

Not having cable or any kind of smart device to stream Netflix and HBO this is perfect. Though I wish they had more apps to stream from such as Showtime, etc.
