I love the chromecast, but needs more apps! Right now it does well with Netflix and Youtube. But, more supporting apps would really put it over the top.

I purchased a samsung tab and chrome cast during the same visit and they worked great. My daughter loves streaming cartoons from netflix. Very easy to setup and I recommend this product.

Fantastic for certain things. If you just need Netflix or a service that has native support, it's fantastic! If you are looking to stream local movies it's less than stellar. My 3 year old laptop does fine watching these movies on it's screen... the minute I tried to stream the the chromecast, it lagged. Sound was off, and it froze occasionally to catch up. Streaming from my desktop (1 year old) proved to be much better, but that's in a different room. I also was able to stream local videos and over DLNA from my android tablet and phone with an app purchase ($3).

Very easy to setup. Only downfall is that you have to be connected to your WiFi. My computer doesn't have a wireless card so I just use my tablet and phone to play videos and my shows

The chrome cast was a little more difficult to set up than i thought iy would be. It works good with my tablet using Netflix. I am still trying to figure out how to use it with other devices.

This is a great device if you are just a little bit tech saavy. Requires a little bit of know how to set-up but once that is finished works very well.

I like the size of the chromecast media player but don't like that it limits you on what you can display on tv.

Took whole of 3 min to set up & stream from my android phone and from my chrome browser of the laptop. Was in the market to buy a smart TV, not any more. A mere $35 investment instead.....

I love this! Its so convenient for streaming and they keep adding new apps.

We decided we didn't want the expense of satilite anymore, so we opted to use Netfilx and Hulu+. Chromecast was the easiest and most inexpensive way to watch these programs on our TV.

It doesn't work with any of my devices because it is incompatible with the Operation Systems of both my lap tops and kindle fire. Windows 7 or better

Pretty cool little item for only $35. Comes in handy big time while traveling, especially when the hotel room has terrible cable selections. I mainly use if for the Sing Box app that recently came out for Chromecast. Most people that have issues with this, are because of the program you're casting. Netflix/Hulu/ESPN etc etc work with no problem. Sling Box can be buggy sometimes. Note - You need a dedicated hotspot app on your PC for sharing since most hotels require you to log in when using their internet connections.

I love how you can view YouTube clips on the big screen - and searching on your phone is easier than doing it on smart tv app. Also makes Pandora stereo quality by using TV speakers.

high quality...youtube quality never looked better on tv compared to a laptop...did not sacrifice by increasing quality, bufferrin is not an issue

It was a much better value than other streaming media players. Very easy to hook up and start using. It does exactly what it says it's going to do!

This little gadget is awesome! It's very easy to set up and works wonderful. If you can read basic directions, it takes just minutes to get it working. Netflix has never been so easy!

I have multiple Android and iOS smart phones and tablets. I can easily watch movies on my television's big screen instead of the tablet/smart phone for my HBO Go and YouTube videos. The biggest drawback is the inability to display Chrome browser output on my television from my devices; I hear you can do it from a laptop but that is inconvenient for me. So I wait until more of my apps are supported by Chromecast. Eagerly waiting for support by Amazon Prime video

Great piece of technology. Incredibly easy to set up. I think I set it up in under 2 or 3 minutes. Only down side is the mirroring function isn't the best, but it's still in the beta phase

Not yet sure what this can for me that I can't do other ways. For instance, I tried to display my TimeWarnerCable TV online streaming to the Chromecast, but no! It uses Silverlight and all I get is the black background, but not the video being displayed on the laptop. I still have to connect the laptop to the TV using HDMI output from laptop. Anyone want to tell me what I am doing wrong? I can stream from my PS4 and also my SmartTV. What can this do for me that those can't? Oh yeah, and I got a virus in Chrome after installing this. Coincidence?
