Not That Great of a Deal

Finally, I can project the image from my laptop to my TV, making watching movies or even looking at photos much easier! Few problems: one, it connects via Wi-Fi (which is fine, unless the Wi-Fi in the area is weak); two, it needs an external power source (meaning it's now taking up an HDMI slot AND space on the power strip); three, it's kind of expensive. Add to that the fact that both our HDMI slots on our TV are taken, and I ended up returning it and getting an HDMI extension cord instead for half the price, complete with no extra wires and full reliability. If you want to use this primarily with a tablet or smartphone, it might be worth it. But if you're using it with a laptop or desktop, I'd suggest either getting an HDMI extension cord instead, or just transferring your files to a USB stick and plugging it in your Blu-Ray or DVD player (assuming it has one, of course).
