Replacement, working well

This one works great, does exactly what is expected - receives video from another device running Chrome on the network. There can sometimes be a delay between the Chromecast image and the original. I suggest plugging the device into your TV when possible, and using Chromecast when not. It is a great backup.

Great device, but has some limits

I like the Chromecast, it does what it's designed to do and has some nifty features. Kinda nifty that you can "cast" from quite a few different devices, but honestly it's not always the most convenient. Over all, I like it, but I think I prefer the Roku for convenience of use.

Worked Pretty Well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't sure what I was getting into - it did everything it was supposed to do - maybe I expected more - But the learning curve kicked in - and it is an integral part of my viewing. I had to install Google Chrome (dedicated FireFox user) and with ChromeCast and then V-cast I'm still learning to use this toy.

Room to grow

You have to connect it to external power which is just annoying. The apps are limited and you still cannot cast from chrome on a mobile device. As long as Google keeps improving and those of us who bought them early don't have to upgrade, I think this will be a huge success!

Really neat product for a nice price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Trying to figure out who's fault this is but watching Netflix movies, usually have to recast from computer to TV 2 or 3 times in a 1 1/2 hour movie. Could be a Netflix problem. My Hughes net internet says it is not a problem of theres if the feed to the lap top stays good. Still would recommend this prod. per not sure where the problem lays. Really fun getting to watch videos on the TV.
