I have been down in bed since Dec. 10th from an accident that so far has required 2 surgeries on my leg. This Chromecast was given to me as a Christmas gift from my daughter and her family along with a Netflix sub. It has been so nice to have this to keep me entertained at times. I also have used it to watch lessons on quilting, gardening, canning, etc on U-Tube. We loved it so much we bought another one for my husband, for the TV downstairs.

I am very pleased with it! The only thing I would like is for more apps to be available besides Netflix.

The Chromecast is great for the price and does what it should as far as broadcasting your web browser from your computer to your television; however, the Chromecast is just like an appetizer, and leaves much to be desired. The downside of the Chromecast are it's ability to broadcast a clear, crisp picture from your browser to your television, (this is also based on your internet connection and proximity to your router). The other downside is that it's limited on only broadcasting your internet browser and not other things like movies, pictures and other items you'd wish to view on a big screen - an ability that an easy-to-use, easy-to-setup AppleTV has at the ready. My advice, ditch the Chromecast for something that's going to be more versatile, bring more inner-peace and lack of buyers remorse to you at a larger price.

Purpose of purchase was to stream Dish from Galaxy S4 smart phone to TV. Long story short, you need certain version of android and up to mirror phone on TV. I think it is 4.4 and up and I'm at 4.3 so no go. I ended up returning the chromecast. I will end up going hardwired. I did purchase an AppleTV box, which mirrors seamlessly with iphone 5 and above. Works supper.

Google Crome Cast is a great alternative to a smart TV and works well with all Apple products as well.

I take my Chromecast with me when I am traveling. I can watch any of my Netflix program on the road.

It was so easy to install I could do it myself and use it right away. We use it for Pandora and Netflix
