Right now the chromecast falls short. Whether that's google fault or the applications supporting it, I don't know. You can't stream ANYTHING to the chromecast from your favorite device. It's a little annoying, but if you get an app that supports streaming to chromecast, you can stream whatever it can play. Which shouldn't be a limited library. Simply put, the chromecast should not be limited anywhere. If it can be displayed on my Android device, I should be able to throw it up on the chromecast. Including my screen. This is a feature baked into AppleTV and current generation iDevices. Honestly, this is LOW-LEVEL. This is not something that should be "coming down the pipe" or "in development". Android is supposed to be better? Who says? It's got potential, but until they actually start doing it, I'm not going to enjoy using my chromecast. I wanted so much more from this guy, but my iphone and apple tv will have to do. NOTE: I use a Samsung Galaxy Note3 with the Chromecast and an iPhone 4S with my Apple TV.

This tiny unit has great potential . It"s limited to only YouTube and Netflix for now but I managed to get crackle on it also. I'm sure more will be added down the road. If you don't want to pay much and you subscribe to Netflix (YouTube is free) you will enjoy this. It's so simple to set up and real easy to use. It's size let's it do its job and be almost Invisable.

Streaming quality isnt the best. I know partially affected by my Wifi, but I rather my smart tv.

Well I was trying to connect my tv to my pc, I will like to send music or videos I have on my PC and make use of the big screen. Chromecast uses built in apps to show hulu, youtube on the tv but, no option to send/stream music. For the video you can just drop the file to chrome Web browser and cast the tab but for audio is no direct way to stream a music folder.

Great product and even better price. I have already talked a few family members into buying one.
