I bought this as I like to play music and such and had heard good things from a friend. I love it. I play YouTube and Pandora through my TV and get WAY better sound than my tiny computer. I love that I can take it with me when I travel and use it on other TVs. So I am never without either my music or my movies!

We got this so we can watch some of our shows on the tv screen together instead a tiny computer screen. It works good, although we could not get it work with my Samsung tablet but it worked fine with my laptop.

While we are enjoying Chromcast, we are only able to cast from my Samsung Galaxy 5. None of our other more easily accessable products have apps available at this time. (Samsung 8.0 Note, iphone 5s, elipsis)

I used this product with no problems at home, but in the hotel I couldn't use it - you have to check off the box for internet, and it wasn't available on the TV. We thought that we would be able to take it with us and watch HBO GO, but were not able to do it.

Commercials don't show you that this item needs to be plugged into a power outlet to function... It's not just a plug in for your tv, you'll need to plug the device to an outlet and the cable is not very long, especially if your tv is hung up high on a wall.

This thing is an inexpensive, quick, and easy way to turn any TV into a "Smart" TV. Perfect for inexpensive, smaller TV's that don't have a "Smart" connected feature, or for projectors in home theaters. It has most of the major streaming services supported and I suspect may add more over time. Great purchase.

The device works as advertised and can't ask for more features in a $35 device. It's good to hear that more applications are integrating chromecast support. It would be nice if applications continue to autoplay next videos instead of me reaching out to my phone every time I want to watch next episode of a TV series.

I purchased this in a recommendation from an friend. Once I got the app downloaded it took forever to get the pictures saved to show them on the TV. I purchased this to help my visually impaired husband be able to see the pics he took. I tried to return this to the store and was told that I had exceeded the 7 day return by 2 days. I still have the product, as I have not wanted to buy anything else right now.

returned it twice before i got one that worked correctly. third one works great. Trouble casting Netflix from either my desktop or laptop, but casts fine from my phone. Everything else casts well. i like it.

This is a great product, especially for someone that does not want Apple TV and it's a fraction of the cost. My only complaint, is that I can not leave it plugged in because there in no way to turn it off or put it to sleep, which is why I subtracted a star.

This is the future of television! Replaces the roku and apple TV when you are looking to cut the cord or even as a streaming device alone. You use your phone/tablet/computer as the "remote" Right now only netflix, youtube, and computer streaming is supported, but more subscriptions such as HBO go will be supported.

By now most people know about the google chrome. I got one on sale for $29.99 to try it out and it's a great little gadget. Being able to view items from your laptop, phone, etc on the tv is much better than a small screen. You've heard all of the good things so just get one and try it out - you won't regret it.

at first I thought it's exactly like an HDMI cable and shows all your activity on the TV but I turns out to be way smarter. you can multitask using the device by deciding what to show on TV while working, surfing internet or even watching TV on your computer using a different program/webpage. it is awesome

It took a lot more to get it started than I thought it would. I didn't know I'd have to run it from my phone apps which had to be updated to make it work as well. But its great for watching kids game that are posted to YouTube for the coaches and Netflixx movies.

It work very well for compatible apps on android devices. You can mirror your laptop screen to watch pretty much anything from computer but I experienced to much lag to make this worthwhile for video watching. Perhaps a faster wi-fi conection might solve this.

I have an extra television so I got the Chromecast for that. I think it is a technology that needs to mature a bit, but I think Google has the power to see it through. My only concern is that it might not have enough bandwidth to compete with a direct connection.

I was thinking about buying the Apple TV since I have a Macbook Air, iPad and iPod touch but my mom bought this instead and I just love it! All you need is to plug it on your TV, connect it to WiFi, and download the "Chromecast" app on the devices you use. I use it for my Macbook, iPod, iPad and Android phone.

This is a great little 'gadget'. All you need to do is swipe your tablet or smartphone with the icon on the top of the screen to turn it on. I just hope google will encourage other sites to use this technology. Would be aterrific way to view you photos and movies.
