Liked that it was easy to set up and use, but not quite a true contender until there are more content options as far as what programs/apps you can cast.

I bought this for myself but honestly my kids have taken it over. Its a very fast way to cast netflix. I do like the idea behind it and hope they keep adding apps to the cast list. One thing that would be nice is to have it cast websites.

Great for watching YouTube, Netflix, HBO Go on the big screen. Sometimes have issues with pausing, or general buffering issues. Maybe its just the wifi, but overall I'm happy with Chromecast.

Hope for firmware update and more apps support this device. Also Chrome browser little bit more responsive of mirroring from the master chrome browser

Great idea and half the cost of AppleTV. Although AppleTV has many more options, for the price it's not a bad buy. I'm sure once they nail it all down, it will do the same thing that AppleTV does.

(Using Android 4 phone for playback) What a great concept, at a good price, considering what it can do. However, it takes a while to get it to connect to wireless when it starts to run a video (a lot longer than loading Netflix, for example) and navigating a video is clumsy and annoying-- FF, RW, and Pause. There are several tools and involved: the Chrome App on your device, your device's player, and Chromecast itself, and I'm not sure how they all interact, or how I am supposed to manage playback. But maybe I'm just an old fellow who isn't savvy enough.

I am a recent cord cuttet and rely on subscriptins for hbo go watch espn ansld netflix to get my entertainment. It has worked perfectly i can say that browser mirroring is a bit sluggish but with a powerful pc it is not a problem.

Bough it for streaming content from the chrome browser to my TV, it serves the purpose; however, it is a little lagging while streaming the video despite that I have a good wireless router.

i don't like its performance. It's slow and sometimes I should wait a long time to cast something or the worst, sometimes I couldn't do it. I am thinking to change it with new model.

Good alternative to the AppleTV. So far I haven't been able to figure out if I can mirror my computer screen onto the TV. It does work in the browser, but sometimes I want to project my desktop.

This is a great device for streaming videos from your mobile devices. The is no lag and the fact that you can control the playback with the mobile device is great. No longer watching videos on a tiny screen ever since getting this.

I have read several reviews about this product and I suggested to myself to purchased the product. At this current time I am using this streaming device with Netflix and it is so cool. I will try further exploring with other services.

very nice item. buttom line... it's just a link to youtube. it really doesn't stream anything. It just press's play on any HD video in Youtube. I still like it though, but I can't believe I paid for this so it can press "play" for me.

This is my 2nd Chromecast and I love it works great for watching Netflix and YouTube on the TV. Also works great for Pandora. For the price it is better than the alternatives. Keep in mind that you need an open HDMI for your TV.

The unit does what it is supposed to do but I specifically told him what I was trying to do. The hotel requires a login so my Roku didn't work. Well neither does this and I am not an IT geek that knows how to get around protocols and all that. A screen that they show in the instructions is not on my screen and of course the Chromecast's "support" is nothing more than a forum page and an e-mail address where you wait for an answer that never comes. Of course I didn't try it in a hotel setting until after the date I could return it. Murphy's Law!!

I love my Google Chromecast. It's a great way to see my favorite tv shows. The one missing component is an autoplay feature, where apps like Hulu could continuously play a specific series.

This is a great product but version 2 isa significant improvement. Overall I like the interface of the Amazon Fire stick better but this is great for comedy central and things that the fires stick limits capability.

Not Smart TV? This a perfect alternative choice, you can watch netflix, listen music or Any content (in google Chrome) from Any computer, tablet or Smartphone in the same lan

It is nice being able to cast straight from YouTube. I have also cast from other items that were not supported at this time. Over a great product. Hopefully they will continue to add support for other websites and video products.

This product is a good buy for the price. I wish I had known about the usb power cord, but probably would have bought it anyway. Anyone who has basic knowledge of home network setup can install this and be using it within 10 minutes.
