The device streams great with an awesome image. However, there can be improvements. For example, once you cast youtube you cannot use your cell phone to watch a different video on your phone at the same time. Another phone would have to take over the cast to use the same application. This only happens when you are using the same application in chromecast and phone. You can freely use other apps. Another thing it doesn't have is passcode protection. Anyone connected to wifi can cast. This can be annoying with roomates that want to mess around with you and have acces to the same wifi.

This updated Chromecadt is much faster than the original Chromecast and provides a much clearer, christ picture.

I don’t know much about technology all I need it was something to mirror my iPad to my tv, I was ready to spend $200 on an Apple TV however the Chromecast does exactly that I saved me a lot of money

Have had the older non 4k model for quite awhile now, and recently decided to upgrade to the 4k compatible model. As long as you have a great WiFi service/connection, there are essentially no issues streaming content from the smartphone to the TV. Cool extra feature is the ability to integrate your TV with the Google Assistant/Google Home via the Chromecast (ie. being able to command your Google Home/mini/assistant to turn the TV on or off).

I use it sporadically but, when I do, this thing has never had any issues. I am loving the 4K feature! It's sharp and no hangups.

I replaced my 1st gen. Chromecast with this unit and the new one is much faster. The video and audio are great.

I have a Sony Bravia that it’s not a smart TV so I purchased the Chromecast to be able to watch Netflix and it worked just great!! So I can still use my old Tv and enjoy the Netflix or YouTube!!

So if your like me, you prob much rather have a streaming device connected to your TV that has a remote control and works independently so you don't have to worry with your smart phone/tablet so for streaming TV and really music too id recommend getting the usually equally affordable roku stick or a fire stick. And in my case I have some of both. However I went all in on Stadia and so I purchased this 4k chromecast for that purpose which it works perfect for.

I did my homework for Simplest & Best streaming device, CNET, Reviewed and Consumer Reports pointed out the ease and quality of this. They were right, within my mid-size HDTV in Bedroom was up & running with Netflix. I even tested the voice control with my Bedroom Google Home and it switched streaming services and went to the show I wanted. Plug-N-Play for sure, rarely happens, how nice!

This is easy to hook up Works right away and has a really good picture I use it for UFC fight’s

it is a true ultra 4k, very easy to set up. turns any tv to a smart tv.

There are now three chromecast devices in my home. This newest one is great. Quck and looks great on the TV.
