I was really happy with this thermostat. It came with clear instructions on how to install and set up. It takes about 30 minutes to install, depending on the thermostat you already have. It was easy to program and made monitoring the temperature simple. It pairs with an app on your phone which can help you set the temp without getting up. My city even gave me a rebate for buying it, so check with your local jurisdiction to see if there are any benefits you can take advantage of.

A great device! These things should be standard in every new home. But… the side control where you slide your finger is wonky, not accurate and gets frustrating… my wife can’t stand it. We rely on controlling the thermostat with the app in the phone or our voice to Google Home.

I really like this thermostat. It was a great value buying refurbished, and it was easy to setup through the Google Home app that was already on my phone. Now I can control the temperature in my house from almost anywhere by using my echo dot, my tv remote or my phone. The pre-set program keeps my house at a comfortable temperature while I'm at home, and changes to an economy setting while I'm at work or away from home. I have had no issues with any of the programming or functions and, even though I was prepared to pay full price for the exact same item, I'm happy that I took advantage of the marked down price of buying refurbished.

The pros; easy installation, beautiful decor look, basic operation, easy navigation on the termostate and the app, works with Alexa and I was able to pair with my electric company. All of these things are great! The One major con that caused me to buy another thermostat is the fact that it would consistently go offline! I was never really able to operate is from the app because it was always go offline. There was no issues with my internet, the thermostat it's self still worked find. I would have to rest the thermostat if I wanted to control it from my app. That would be and everyday occurrence several times a day.

Easy to install, looks great, but the app is a bit wonky.

Received the item in excellent condition. But there was no manual. I had to search on the internet and follow the set up instruction from Google's support site. From then on, I used the Google Home app and followed the screen by screen instructions. Based on the wiring scheme of my old Honeywell mercury thermostat, I had just 3 wires, red, white and black, and accordingly I answered the on-screen questions and the Home app kept on thinking the set up cannot be completed. Anyway, I already knew the steps from a youtube video that had similar 3 wire scheme like mine. So, I had to start the steps on the Home app from scratch and this time, I selected the skip option saying that my setup is done already. From there, the home app was able to progress, but failed to connect with the WiFi more than 3 times after entering the WiFI password. What was annoying was that I had to start all over again, as the Home app didn't have a way to remember the step where it failed previously. After some frustrations, I continued the next day as it was late the first day. The next day, I read some more helpful tips online from other users and found that I may need to restart the Google Nest. That resolved the issue. Ever since then, there's no issue (touch wood) and I love the look and feel of it (mirror look) and the fact the displays light up with the reading when it detects a human presence near it. Also, I love the convenience of monitoring from the Home app. Get it, you won't be disappointed.

Works perfectly and setup instructions are fool proof. I got this as open box and as I suspected it was in almost perfect condition. The overall build quality is very good and it looks fancy. Google did a good job with the interface and it is very easy to use.

The Thermostate was 1 year old. Installation was easy. Got it up and working in minutes. Good experience overall.

Easy install as long as you use Google's setup prequals. Once integrated operates fine and does as intended. Refurbished item was like new!

It is very good especially for the price. Works with HomeKit too. Only knock against it would be that it seems like the automation through HomeKit in terms of set temperature doesn't always seem to work. For example, I have it set to turn to 72 AC when I come home as part of HomeKit. However, it defaults to 75 no matter what I do. Otherwise, great.

Love that this does everything i expected and affordable! Very appealing look is a bonus!

We really needed a new thermostat and this one was simple to install. I love how I can set time and days for my AC or heater to kick on or off and how I can change the temp from my phone.

Works great with google home of course, but also works great with alexa. I love being able to adk google what the temp is in the hoise and turn on or off the ac ir heat ad needed. Programming is pretty straight forward and manual adjustments are easy too

This thermostat works great. My electic utility company even gave me a rebate to use it! Plus savings each summer in exchange for “in demand” hour overrides. But my house never got too hot. I really like it tho, it’s so cool!

I returned this product. It didn't work out for me for two reasons. 1. LADWP would not provide a rebate on a refurbished product so buying an open box version was not a good idea 2. I have a very old furnace without a c wire. I had difficulty maintaining connectivity and controlling the furnace with this version of nest. I end up returning this one and buying the next model out that costs $200 to $250. That one has a built-in battery that charges up whenever the furnace is running. It connected so easily and works perfectly. The cost was more but between the rebates and other incentives from my local energy company it was practically free.

Very easy to switch out with my existing thermostat. Setting it up was a breeze, but it enabled a few features that didn't work for my setup. My mother lives with me and the thermostat has a feature that detects if you are away and shuts the system off while you aren't there. Great for saving money, not so great when you realize it's 80F in your house while your elderly mother is home alone. Fortunately it was an easy fix and it has been working well since disabling that feature. Mine was refurbished, so it didn't come with labels or batteries, but the labels weren't really needed and I had extra batteries on hand.

It’s my first Networked thermostat. It’s easy to install and can be controlled remotely from anywhere.

Easy to use, and does what it says. Installation was super quick (if you have a modicum of technical ability). I highly recommend it.
