While this keyboard has a great typing experience, it does not do well if you use it on your lap. The round keys are easier to type on then you would think, and the fact that its backlit is a nice addition. Great keypad to use in a pinch, but needs a solid surface to use properly. The value is great as it was a free gift with purchase.

this cover/keyhoard is great for its purpose which is flat on a table. if you ok with that you get a chrome/android keyboard. it works. snaps in. magnets. what i like about is it acts as a smart cover for this tablet. its pretty much the only one you can get like this. you know a portfolio tablet cover? I personally would like a standard tablet cover such as nillken for a nexus 9, custom snap in protective back with a 3 fold smart cover like EVERY OTHER TABLET HAS. Except this one. So you can carry this keyboard around adding a half pound of weight and type when you have a table to use but it makes it for a pretty heavy media consumption tablet so you end up taking it out. I would very much like a standard tablet covet for this please.

The keyboard is a little long to sit comfortably on your lap. Don't get me wrong, you can still use it on your lap but not for long. The keys are very nice and well-lit. At first glance I wasn't sure about how the typing experiencing would be on round keys, but they are fantastic. It's a really beautiful keyboard.

So easy to connect & discount just by the magenta it attaches. Love how it lights up & the round modern looking style & you don't have to connect it just automatically does it!

The circle keys are an oddly attrative design choice. The backlighting is where the design really comes to life. Typing experience manages to be great despite the design. I only wish that the flap where the keyboard meets the tablet was reinforced better for easier use on my lap or uneven surfaces.

The Google Keyboard for Pixel Slate works great. It provides an easy to use keyboard and great protection for the device. Must have if you plan on buying a Pixel Slate. My only complaint is some of the fabric has worn after a year of use.

Keyboard and touchpad work really well, but it is really flimsy. It is ok when on a solid surface, but not when using on your lap. Also, when the cover is closed, it tends to slide when you pick it up.

Keyboard was really awesome for the first 8 months. Really sturdy and the magnet for propping the tablet up was super nice as you could have it at almost any angle. However, I seem to have run in to a very big known issue of the keyboard just not registering with tablet anymore and being stuck in tablet mode instead of transitioning to laptop mode. After contacting google, they would have given me a replacement but no longer have any keyboards available. So I’m stuck with a google credit and a tablet with a fancy case

Like others noted, it is awkward to operate this keyboard on lap, the material is not the strongest. The keyboard does feel good when typing and has backlight. Overall, it is considered a good product.

Great keyboard for the tablet, a bit overpriced by itself but great if it comes with it.

If you pick up the Slate, make sure to get this also! It definitely still needs the keyboard! But it feels very premium, it's backlit, the soft type keys feel amazing, and I love it! I know some people were complaining about the keyboard being wobbly on one's lap, but I've found it to be fine! I did get it for free in the most recent Slate deal, but I still would've paid for it. It's a 10 out of 10 for me!

The keyboard was easy to set up and work great with the slate. The keys are round and cupped with makes it easier to type w/o making any mistakes. Best of all it comes with a trackpad so when you are using the keyboard the system feel like a desktop. In table mode it auto configures to a normal tablet interface - I wish apple would add a trackpad.

The chromebook in a tablet form is nice, but the keyboard really is a must have accessory and this ones very good. chiclet keys are nice, feels premium

I absolutely LOVE my Google Keyboard for my Slate. Love the tactile feel of the keyboards. It connects super securely to the Slate. It's a great cover with a magnetic strip that holds the pen in place when closed. It's great. The only thing? I wish that it didn't move around at all when closed. A minor annoyance. Overall, it's worth its price and I recommend it.

Keys are nice, convenience is nice, but it’s all flop city with this thing.

This is almost a necessity if you get the tablet.. but it works very well. The touch pad is very responsive and the keys are tactile and back lit.

You can't use this when you using the device on bed, too soft to stand. the design is neat. but I think it can be more stable.

The keyboard itself is great. Good action on the keys and is comfortable to use. Cover slips around a lot.

This is a great tablet and laptop. Everything runs fast and has almost zero lag. Screen looks great for work or movies. Keyboard is comfortable and easy to use. Also got the pen. Great combo. Also communicated with my Pixel easily so I was able to start things in it and they'd be saved on my Slate when I got home.

It takes a little time to used to a round keys and also back of stand but it is good. Feel of keyboard is good.
