Customers are saying

Customers often highlight the keyboard's excellent typing experience, praising its quality, ease of use, and lightweight design. Many appreciate the integrated stand and strong magnets for secure attachment. However, some users express concerns about the keyboard's stability, particularly when used on a lap, and find the price to be relatively high.

When chrome tablets first got introduced a year ago, i bought an X2 HP tablet and hated it..Android apps were very buggy and the entire experience was terrible..i sold it and settled for a chromebook. I had read all those scathing reviews about the slate and had pretty much forgot about it when Google announced it was abandoning it a few months ago. When the price was reduced on labor day, i read some later reviews and the opinions had changed. All the earlier issues had been solved including a much better android app experience with correct sizing etc So i decided to purchase it and at $549, this is the best tablet you will ever own. The screen is gorgeous, intel m speeds through all web pages, the stereo sound is awesome. Occasionally, an android app will not load but now it's rare. Although this comes with a keyboard, i have yet to use it. With over 20 updates of chrome since the initial release, this is now the tablet that should have been released and not rushed into production. Even if google stops tablet production, they will support this for the next 5 years with updates. Don't miss it.

This is my first detachable tablet keyboard and i had my doubts about how useful it would actually be. Using this keyboard has been a pleasure. It's not as good as using the ergonomic full size keyboard I have at home, but it's surprisingly comfortable to use and when I'm traveling it makes typing so much easier.

I find this works well with no lag when typing. I bought a Bridge kseyboard with Bluetooth but returned it. It had a noticeable lag when I typed. I tried to slow down my typibg speed, but it was too much trouble to adjust. This works better, but is not as fancy as the Bridge.

typing on it is smooth and accurate plus very quiet. definitely the best keyboard I have ever used. the only draw back wouldn't think cover likes to slide which isn't that much of a deal breaker. if your worried about the screen getting scratches cause if it get a screen protector.

We purchased this product as it was more than 50% clear out. My husband loves it and says the product has a nice shape, light weight and the web browsing is pretty quick. There is support for a few years and he has really enjoyed it for reading and basic web use.

I almost returned my Pixel Slate because of the constant issues I had with the keyboard. I noticed my clicks/taps are not consistently recognized. I had to do the same click several times and it would recognize 2 out of 10 attempts. Google support was on top of this. We tried several methods and eventually using a recovery USB did the trick. No problem whatsoever after that. This keyboard came with the Pixel Slate for free, so I don’t complain as much. But I wouldn’t recommend getting this separately because of the awkward typing on lap. I do not like that the keyboard doesn’t have a magnet on the face that shuts close tightly. It is wobbly when you carry it in your hand. However, I do like the granular adjustments with pepping up the display. So there are definitely design flaws with this device, but goes well with the Pixel Slate - for free.

Love this keyboard works very well and gives you many options for setting up your tablet. I like the color match to the Slate. however i wish there was an option that you can have a case just like this minus the keyboard.

Needed a case and keyboard for my Google Pixel Slate 12.3”. Wish there were more options for cases and keyboards for the pixel slate. I use a UAG case for my surface, wish there was a case keyboard option like the SurfacePro has. Keyboard responds well to the keystrokes and the case does seem good quality.

This is a great keyboard that also doubles as a stand for the Pixel Slate. The keys have a tactile feel to them and the mouse pad isnt bad either. The keys illuminate, which is great for all day/night use.

Typing on this keyboard case is great but storing the device with keyboard attached in a bag or sleeve is frustrating. There is no “closure” and the two pieces twist and pull and slide from side to side creating concern for damaging the screen.

...does not work well if you want to type from your lap, and needs a good amount of desk space because of the way the stand works. Sometimes ChromeOS gets a bit confused when switching from Tablet to Keyboard mode. Totally not worth it if paying full price, but I got it bundled in with the table.

Like most products, they tend to improve over time. And this is one I believe will only get better. My only complaint is with the cover. At times it becomes undone and is not completely covering my Pixel Slate in the corners. The rest of it is great! I like that it is adjustable and the keyboard is backlit.

Although keys have good travel and the back sliding mechanism is great, the overall construction is incredibly flimsy. It slides all over the place when closed, and wears out the hinge area quickly.

I bought a Google Slate here a few years back at a real great sale price and it came with their stylus (free!) and this keyboard, also free. It was a great deal for great hardware.
