Posted .Hi there, GerrardL. Sorry you’re having trouble with battery life on the Nest Cam (Battery). Battery consumption will depend on factors including activity, temperature, and selected camera settings. On average here’s how long the battery will last on a single charge:
Busy - About 1 month battery life (about 25 - 30 recorded events per day)
Typical - About 2.5 months battery life (about 13 - 16 recorded events per day)
Quiet - About 6 months battery life (about 2 - 5 recorded events per day)
Here’s a few tips to conserve battery:
1. Optimize its video quality.
2. Shorten the length of time for which events are recorded.
3. Take longer to begin recording between events.

Great camera, high quality, love the lack of wires

In the dead of winter, the battery lasted 4 months on a moderately busy street, an outcome which I was very happy with. Looking forward for the Google Home app update that makes it easier to scroll etc but so far no complaints. Worth it for the sale price I paid

Replaced old Nest Cam

I love how it has the battery so if it's plugged in and you loose power it may still work providing your internet is still up.
