I invested into 6 of the old versions of these cameras and loved them. This is a worthy upgrade - much more detail and the ability to quickly track motion is excellent. Only complaint is the price.

Works as advertised. Need to purchase Nest Aware subscription to be worth it.

Great, reliable, system with crystal clear video. I was able to set it up quick and easy without assistance. The face recognition is good. Everything cordoned with my iPhone and watch. Gives me great peace of mind.

I got this camera so my family could closely monitor my grandma's activity during the day and night. It has allowed us to see how she moves and what is causing her falls. My only complaint is the Nest Aware addition, I feel that for the price of the camera it should be cheaper. I know google is addressing this soon as they come out with a better pricing option. I would recommend this to anyone needing to monitor things while away from the home. It has clear vision, even the nighttime was so clear, and will alert you to movement. Just be sure to set the alerts to a person and not everyone! Also the set up was such a breeze!

The timeline feature allows you scroll with ease through your history with just 1 touch of your finger. Conversation also require only 1 tap. Without a subscription, you can only view the last 3 hrs of record time...that is horrible compared to the 7 days you get with Arlo. Sometimes there is a crackling sound when you are trying to have a conversation. It's pretty cool how the camera zooms in on someone or my puppy and follows them as they walk around.(when it works) This camera also has facial recognition,(when it works) but these features also require an expensive subscription ($10 per month or $100 per year... $5/ mo for additional cameras.) I would get more, if they weren't so expensive and require an expensive subscription.

Easy to set up. Easy to use. Has the option to mount. The only downside I would say is if you have multiple nest cameras you have to buy subscriptions for each camera.

I’ve used a couple different brands before. But Nest is the one I like the most, specially for my son’s bedroom. Image quality is great and it also works on a pitch black bedroom. I can hear if he wakes up or cry in the middle of the night and it also has movement sensors. Was definitely a great purchase.

Very good camera system. Video quality is great. The facial recognition and motion detection are features that you never knew you needed until you got them.

Love this camera! I have other Nest products and this one follows suit in being easy to setup and comes with tons of integration and best-in-class software via web interface. Highly recommend this camera to others considering an indoor camera.

The Nest Cam IQ Indoor is a nice, high quality indoor camera with night vision. For indoor or outdoor use (if window reflections don't bother you - it IS NOT meant for placement outdoors), I found the camera to be far more sensitive to capturing imagery than other cams. I use mine to timelapse cloud formations... a neat use of the timelapse feature. Which brings me to the only problem I have. In order to have great functionality with this cam, you have to subscribe to the Nest service... more money towards this, already, expensive product.

The Nest Cam IQ Indoor is an excellent addition to my existing Nest Outdoor Cams. It is a smart device with face recognition and auto-zoom to activity areas. A great plus for the Nest Secure security system.

This is a great upgrade. It can hear me talking to myself in other rooms even. The original versions are not that good. I own them as well. This camera asks for us to name people as it sees them through facial recognition software. We bought three of these. Check your wifi bandwidth before purchasing. These use 1.2 mbps each.

I started with a Nest thermostat over one year ago. But this year I finally added the indoor Nest Cam IQ and the Outdoor Nest cam. The IQ gives gorgeous detail with it's 4k capable camera. Although it does not stream constantly in 4k, it does capture 4k images and video clips when the sensor is tripped for facial recognition, motion alerts, and sound alerts. The only real difference between this camera and the indoor camera as far as hardware goes, is the image capture quality and the preservation of resolution while zooming in. There is also an auto zoom feature that automatically focuses on a recognized face. I originally did not think this camera was worth the $299 price tag, $130 over the sale price of the indoor cam. But once it went on sale for $254, I had to try it out and I am glad I did. Of course it still has all the other wonderful features of the nest cam such as: two-way microphone and speaker; individual alert settings for sounds, motion, and people; 10-30 days of camera video history with Nest aware subscription plans; and of course the nest app ecosystem bringing together your thermostat, all cameras, Nest protects , and now the newest items (Nest Doorbell cam security/motion sensors). All in all, I would recommend this device for novice and advanced smart homers looking for a great indoor camera. Pros: Looks very sleek and modern (especially the led light ring), great video and image capture quality at up to 4k, Nest eco system is awesome, customizeable motion sensor zones, sounds alerts, and face ID with Nest aware. Cons: Does not stream continuously in native 4k, the camera stand is permanently attached to a non-magnetic base (unlike the Nest indoor and outdoor cams), the stand has very limited maneuverability compared to the previous models (permanently attached vs. removable magnet base), the camera image cannot be rotated within the app for upside down mounting. All and all - if you can get this camera on sale, it is a good buy!

THE BEST THING SMOKING HANDS DOWN! When I first got this I used it to replace my useless Outdated Vivint indoor security camera. IT DID THE JOB AND MORE!!! The magic is in the words iQ and that is exactly what it does. Simple to install and it will pay for itself!!!

Really nice camera that was easy to set up and use. Reviewing video can be very frustrating as I often get the pinwheel. I'm running 75 mbps so would not expect these issues.

I love the image quality of this camera and the great features such as facial recognition. Even though it's very expensive I think that they are worth it because of the high quality images, the features, and the excellent build quality. I would recommend waiting for a sale like Black Friday to ease the financial burden.
