This was my 5th Nest Pro installation, all were slightly different but simple to correctly install. Extremely efficient. It learns quickly and requires minimal maintenance (if any at all). Other than an occasional "off-line" due to FL summer storms' power outages, I definitely recommend. I'm scheduled to install 4 more at friends and families residents soon. If you're fortunate to catch the "Nest Pro" on sale for less than $200 (grab on) although the reg. price will pay for itself over the summer months.

My wife uses a wheelchair and always had a hard time reading and adjusting out old thermostat. With the best learning thermostat she can adjust it from her phone and even when we are away from home. Connected to our google smart home system she can even voice control it. The nest automatically reads when your phone is no longer in the house and will adjust accordingly if you want it too. Installation on out old HVAC system was a snap. I was done in less than an hour. Also BestBuy price matched a Costco members deal I showed them on my phone. All I had to do was show them a valid Costco card and they took care of me. Very happy with this addition.

We had no problem installing it ourself. I love the fact that I can set a schedule, and that it’s smart enough to know when we are away (so it will auto adjust as needed). The best part is that I can control it through the google home app. Makes it nice if you are traveling back from vacation, and as you get closer to home you can set it to your desired temperature before walking in the door.

Love the new updated design, thermostat is simple and easy to use. Favorite part is being able to control the temperature from your phone whether your home or not. Setup is super simple

Very happy with this thermostat so far. I replaced my old thermostat, it’s very easy to install, very elegant. Was able to set up a schedule and keep track of when I replaced the filter. Also it’s very easy to adjust when not at home through the app.

Finally, I installed the unit following the very simple directions included (actually I watched a YouTube video first, highly recommended so as to give you an overview of the entire process). Here's one pro tip, take a photo of the wires and how they are attached to your original thermostat before removing them, it will save you lots of time and help you install the unit right the first time. Other than figuring out how to customize the display, the unit works, heat, cool, fan all respond properly and it probably only took me 1 hour all together (including viewing install videos!-) The app connected to the wifi easily and the basics controls are pretty straightforward. Looking forward to getting to know the unit better when the heat arrives and we have to begin using the A/C. Also, be sure to get your rebate from your participating energy provider, this makes the purchase a no brainer as it should help to save much more in energy costs than its purchase price.

The best smart thermostat on the market and it’s not even close! It is extremely responsive and functional with Google Smart Home. Very easy to install as well and I’ve used it in multiple homes with different wiring. The only downside is they only last 2-3 years.

I own 2 of these units in my house and have not had any issues with them. Nest is the go to for smart thermostats. It is easy to install and takes little time to configure. The app works great as well as Alexa integration for voice commands. The scheduling couldn’t be easier as well as the features that come with it, like airwaves or filter swap reminders. I would highly recommend. The price is up there but worth the money. Design is simplistic and clean. Would highly recommend.

Incredible technology! Links easily to google home and echo devices. Leaving the house with the heater on, not a problem anymore. Easily turn it off remotely from almost anywhere. That was my main reason for buying it. Also, soooo much easier to use than the entry level model. I really tried to love that one, but just didn’t at all. Besides, this one looks sharp as well.

The Nest smart thermostat is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It learns your lifestyle and comfort levels and keeps your home at just the right temperature while saving you money. No need to run the heat or air while your away, this thermostat saves energy and money while your gone and turns the units on a few minutes before you get home so your house is nice and comfy. I don’t know how it does it, I just know it works! It’s easy to install and use. It pays for itself in less than 6 months! This is a GREAT buy!

I’ve had it for almost a year now and it’s has worked amazing! The app is super easy to use. It notifies you whenever you need your filter changed and sends you monthly reports for energy used as well as gives you acces to control your thermostat from your phone or tablet. Their customer service is amazing! And it looks so sleek and modern on my wall. This comes with one year warranty so Nest has you covered. Really recommend this thermostat!

I love this new Thermostat from Nest. After reading the instructions and getting the app, it is very user friendly. I love the fact you can control it away from home. I can't tell you how many times I have left the house and forgot to adjust the temperature.

I was hesitant at first but now I love it. So easy to use from anywhere. Home & office I can control and manage the thermostat. Plus it was so easy to install.

I purchased this on 30 January 2020 and had installed.Love the design it is programmable to my needs.I lower temp while at work.Turn it up hour before get home nice and warm.It is easy to learn.I watched a few how to videos before so wasn't that bad. The only down side I have .Is the back is white I purchased stainless steel thermostat thinking back plate would match.But it is white plastic. I would highly recommend this product. I had it professionally installed.The back plate issue NOT a Best Buy issue.

Made the jump to NEST. Old unit was malfunctioning, decided to go high tech. Ameren IL offered $125 toward the purchase of this device. That's 50% of the total!! I installed the NEST app on my phone and my wife's phone. It's great! When the T-stat sees our phones are no longer home, the temp is automatically adjusted to an ECO setting as there is no point in heating/cooling an empty home. It works flawlessly. Installation was easy, exactly the same as a normal T-stat. Only 4 wires on mine. I really recommend this to anyone.

I love the ease of operating this thermostat. I can control our ac and heat with my phone. The installation process was fairly easy thanks to the display on the thermostat to let you know about the connections. I also think it looks nice on our wall.

From Honeywell Programmable to This. Just follow the Instructions: yellow wire to Y, green wire to G, red wire to RC, white wire to W1. If you have orange wire, put it in O, if you have blue wire put it in B. This set up if for Heat Pump in NW Florida. The O or B is to control the reversing valve. If you connect it to a wrong terminal, your unit will blow hot air when AC is running. Leave alone black wire, light brown wire or any other auxiliary wires not in use in your old thermostat like Honeywell. One of my Honeywell thermostats had 6 wires. The other one had 7. I leave alone black wires and light brown wire and did not connect them. Both of my Heat Pumps are working fine.

My thermostat has been installed about a month. I really had no problems with the install and linking to the app. Everything worked on the first try. It was surprising how heavy the thermostat felt before I mounted it. As far as the thermostat's operation goes, it seems to get confused whether I am home or not. My schedule varies A LOT, and I have NO consistency for a daily schedule. That said, I would say this is why my Nest is confused! If I had a M-F 8-5 schedule I would guess everything would be great. My favorite part of the thermostat is when I pass close to it, the analog clock shows up. I don't have A/C and don't turn on the heat, so I really just have an expensive, but nice looking clock. I did get this on sale, used a gift card, and received a utility rebate, so I got a good deal anyway.

Easy to install, easy to use and the app is seamless. It is on the pricey side compare to other smart thermostats, but most of them are not smart learning. Would like to see the price of the sensors come down as if the nest is in a different room from where you eat or watch tv the temperature gauge or judgement isn't great.
