Posted .Hi there, thanks for sharing your feedback with us, and we’re sorry to hear that your experience with using the Nest Learning Thermostat is not ideal.
Nest thermostat changes its temperature automatically due to some factors like schedule, learned habits (auto schedule), and Home/Away Assist which makes your thermostat go to ECO mode. You have an option to use it as a traditional programmable thermostat, and you can manually set the temperature and create your schedules for the thermostat to follow. Besides turning off the Auto Schedule feature, we also suggest turning off your Home/Assist, and clearing the existing schedules by selecting Settings > Reset > Schedule > Reset again.

The tech who came to trouble shoot our HVAC system after pains taking trouble shooting determined that the Nest thermostat had an electronic issue. Had to be replaced. He installed the new one and have my fingers crossed that it doesn’t break in a couple of years! The customer service at Nest is by far the worst I’ve experienced period.
