I got off the flagship treadmill with this purchase. I've previously owned nearly every new Galaxy model. The increase in cost was simply ridiculous and I decided to send my S8+ to a relative. I need a phone to make calls. This one does so incredibly well. I don't know if it has a better antenna, or the circuitry is streamlined, but I get signal in places I didn't before. Not an extra 'bar fakeout' on the screen, I can actually make/complete calls in habitual locations that I couldn't before. I honestly can't tell the difference in the lesser processor speed. I use Adobe on my phone quite a bit and I don't play games, so those are really the only things where I suppose I would notice a slow down. I've yet to experience any prolonged waits. I was worried about the storage space. With no SD slot, I thought I'd max my storage. Not even close. In fact, the fixed storage (64gb) helped me get off my butt and clean out old apps I never use anymore. I'm sure others may need extra space and will disagree, but I certainly don't have an issue with it. The camera. It's just the best. I take a lot of photos and videos. This camera is exceptional. The night modes and time lapse functions are exponentially better than the Galaxy line. Ease of use. Most of my stuff is parked on Drive and OneDrive. The interoperability with everything is fantastic and I'm so glad to be rid of Samsung bloat. Zero issues with accessing OneDrive and the suite of Office products I use. It's seamless. Maps, Drive, Assistant, etc just work better on a Google phone. Battery life is stellar. The power saving mode routinely will allow for 24hrs of light to medium use. The quick top up charge they advertise is no gimmick. It works. Privacy. Google seems to be taking privacy issues seriously. The CEO is driving this and I fully believe the market will begin demanding it. I'm hoping this trajectory continues. Value. I got the phone for 300.00 flat and they threw in a Google Mini for my home assistant setup. I don't know how that can be beat? No leasing nonsense and run on, confusing financing crap. I leased my S8+ and the experience disgusted me. When I got a hairline crack in the screen, the quote to replace it was 298.00 before taxes. Give me a break! It's a great little phone that does all I need it to do at a price that is hard to beat. If that's what you're looking for, go check one out. I'm definitely a convert.

The best smartphone I've ever had!

This is hand down one of the best phones I've ever had. It's nice they used the same camera in the 3a as they did the 3! I have no reason to upgrade from this phone until it stops working. The batter charges so fast it's rediculous. The camera is phenomenal! All the extra settings and little things this Google phone has is really cool and comes in handy. I have recommended this phone to everyone who is looking for a new phone. I have had zero issues with mine and yes I'm clumsy and have dropped it many times. I got a great case from Amazon for $10 and it's outperformed other cases Ive had in the past. I'm clumsy and drop phones sometimes but I'm not necessarily hard on them. For example, I've never broken a phone screen or other wise in my life. I would like to mention that people that download tons of apps or watch those certain private time videos on their phones well those phones are gonna have issues. Any phone. You put a ton of stuff on any phone and it's gonna run poorly. So people complaining about this phone being slow or anything like that, Id bet money they got more apps on their phone then they know what to do with. Also remember you should always do a factory reset on your phone once a year. And weekly shut down your phone for a few mins and turn it back on. If I ever need to get another phone , I'll be getting another google phone without a second thought. One cool this about google phones is you can connect to support via text on your phone and they will do battery testing and all that. If you have Google devices and your phone gets low the Google devices will remind you to charge it. So what I'm trying to say is. This phone is awesome and you should give it a try if you are shopping for a new phone. Also im a big picture taker! And a lot of phones today push the camera , geez today half the back of phones are camera lenses :/ This phones camera is fantastic. Front and back camera. It even has front illumination for selfies if that's your kinda thing. I've taken photos off this camera that people have thought were from some fancy I phone. Nope, the "budget "pixel 3a. Remember the 3a has the SAME CAMERA as the 3! Save the money and get the 3a. I honestly have no clue how this phone has bad reviews but I am 100% guessing it's due to the user and not the phone. Stop filling phones up with rediculous apps.

I have been an iPhone user for more than 10 years and I was intrigued by the google pixel due to the clean design, call screening, and most importantly the low light on the camera. Being an employee, I’d only be able to suggest the pixel 2 and 3 to Verizon customers, but with the 3a you get all of the best features for the fraction of the cost, and on any carrier since it’s unlocked now. I purchased this phone as a replacement for my old Canon DSLR and I am serious when I say I am in awe of every photograph this phone is capable of capturing. While I love my phone since I know it like the back of my hand, the pixel has been such a pleasant surprise and was the best purchase I’ve made at Best Buy, ever.

I have long loved my Nexus 5x, and it was a sad day in hell when that died. Recently I was able to get a replacement for that in the Pixel 3a. The phone is a very light, bright, perfect replacement for the venerable 5x. Its form factor is exactly the same, fits very comfortably in my hands, the audio is loud and clear with dual speakers, the headphone jack works like it should. I couldnt ask for any more.... oh the purple-ish white is beautiful! Overall this phone is just what the doctor ordered, a newer more updated, android OS based phone. It takes a bit of getting used to for the UI (only one central screen button vs. 3 icons), but not that hard. It I find the phone's camera is excellent, rivals any other phone. For a mid-range phone, this pixel 3a is perfect. Why pay $1000 when under a good performing phone can be had well under half that. Sure it only comes with 64gb, but thats plenty. The lack of MicroSD Card slot does not hurt. Just make sure you backup to the cloud with google photos and back up the data to your computer on a regular basis and delete meme's. The battery life on the device is plenty, can run better part of a day and a half when I am not browsing reddit and charging back up is fast with TypeC. The accessories within the box are limited, but I liked the charger which is a USB-C with a USB-C to A converter provided. Overall a very good buy.

Since my previous phone was also a Google Pixel, switching to a newer model wasn't hard. It (the 3a) seems a bit lighter in weight than my original Google Pixel but works well. The camera seems very good, as was my earlier one. I'm glad I got another Pixel and the price was fairly good, too. I find it easy to use.

With $100 Best Buy certificate, this is practically a no-brainer. It's fast, pocket sized, spacious, and has brand new Android in it. The camera is fantastic with all of Google's AI in it. I wouldn't trade it.

Great phone thus far! So glad google came out with a cheaper option without compromising their great camera and software. I miss the Nexus lineup and the great value they brought to those wanting a stock Android experience without all the pre-loaded bloatware, at a very reasonable price! However, the pixel 3a has filled a noticeable hole that google left after they opted to design their own hardware and sell it at flagship prices! Good to see Google listening to their customers! Would recommend this phone to anyone fitting the characteristics described above!

The Camera is amazing with plenty of options like portrait, night sight, panorama, slow motion, time lapse, lens & photo sphere! It has rapid charge! I purchased a Google Pixel for myself and loved it so much that I eventually bought two more for my family members, who also love it. I wanted a Pixel because I heard great things about the camera quality and storage space (I take A LOT of photos and receive emails constantly.) I'm a photographer and wanted a phone that could still take great quality photos when I didn't have my camera with me. The portrait mode is good. The astrophotography mode that only appears when you have the phone completely stable (like with a tripod) is the coolest thing ever. I had a lot of fun with it during a road trip to the desert.) I like how the phone gives me the option to select which gallery folders I want to get backed up in Google Photos so I never lose them. The phone provides an excellent amount of storage space for plenty of apps and photos/videos. Way better than any phone I've had before. I would love to upgrade to a newer Pixel model later on, but I'm very happy with my 3a.

This is the best phone I've ever hard. As a matter of fact this is my 3rd phone this year and hopefully it will last me a year. So far I love it and can't say anything bad about it. Once fully charged the battery last all day which is very rare with most phones.

The camera is amazing. I love the length of time my battery last between charges. I can go almost 2 days. Where before I was lucky if I could go through my shift at work. I truly haven’t found anything about it I don’t like. Best decision I’ve made.

Not glitchy or buggy, fast and a decent camera. The only flaw is battery life. GPS will eat your battery life. It's light and strudy and has a clean look to it. A plus is Google's ease of use; its seamless transition of information from any phone.
