I've always owned Samsung, and generally they've been fine. But I just get tired of all the crapware they ship the phone, that you can't take off of it, and it saps the performance. Plus I'm just tired of spending alot of money on phones.
I financed this one, I think the monthly on it is about $15 per month, acceptable. The phone however is by far and away the best phone I've ever owned. It's very fast, and very clean. The camera is superb, and it does have a 3.5mm plug on for wired headsets, their more expensive ones do not. That was a must. Not a lot comes on it, but you just load what you want. The camera btw is amazing. The phone is very intuitive and easy to use. My representative at Best Buy was very knowledgeable, I looked at about everything but I had done some research. It was easy to transfer all the data.

Good budget phone with all of the perks and specs I wanted and more! The screen pops in colors, it functions smoothly, it charges fast and keeps a good charge all day and it takes fantastic pictures! Plus, it has the headphone jack and it isn't breaking my bank. I've went from Samsung, to a Moto to now a Pixel and so far the Pixel is my favorite!

Bought this phone because we needed mine to get a good deal on my son's new phone. It does everything I need it to do and the battery isn't bad either! The camera is phenomenal and I really don't notice a difference in speed at all. This phone is really good and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to pay the crazy flagship prices! Can't wait to see what the 4a is like!

The phone was affordable and did a good job functioning. However, after less than a year it got very noticeably slow. Also, it dropped from less than three feet with both a case and screen protector and got a vertical purple line, which led to the whole screen being turned black and purple. Now, just slightly over a year, I need to get another new phone.
I really enjoyed the camera on this phone. It was simple to use, and I would recommend it to others. However, the speed in which the apps load has decreased a lot since I bought it.

I was very happy with my OG Pixel XL phone, but it was at the end of its support life. I follow the cell phone industry so I was aware of the reviews for the 3a. I learned that the mid range SOC in this phone is about as capable as the SOC in my XL, a flagship phone 3 years ago that cost $800 new. BB was offering this phone for $300 and free set up in my local store. The phone is just what I expected and is quite good enough for my needs. I might have wanted a more powerful phone if I watched video on it, but I rarely ever did it on my XL and do not anticipate doing it on this one. I always put a case on my phone, so the polycarbonate body is fine for me, and tougher than those glass backed phones. The camera is excellent, the screen is very good and performance is smooth. The cell service from Verizon is reliable. I find the Bluetooth connectivity is better on the 3a.
I believe it will serve me well for the next 3 years

I debated getting Pixel 3a or iphone XR for quite a while. Big sales were going for both phones. I got the Pixel 3a because I like the flexibility of Android, but mostly because the phone was less expensive. - -The Pixel 3a is much better than I expected. Battery life has been lasting two days. Camera is great. Integration with Google services is extensive and very useful. Stock Android is also really good. It did NOT look good in the store, but I find that it fits like a glove once you take take an hour or two to arrange widgets, launchers and settings just the way you want. I am not looking to switch to another launcher (which is something you can do on Android, but apparently not so much on Apple's ios).
The phone is well reviewed on the web, but I think my local Best Buy did a terrible job promoting the phone. It is a tremendous value at the under $300 price I paid.
Sadly, Best Buy did not have options for a case and screen protector in store ($40+ for a screen protector is ridiculous). Amazon has good options under $15.00. FYI, Pixel 3 items do not fit Pixel 3a.

Photos are fantastic, great battery life, and relatively easy to get used to. Shipping was a bit of a problem as there was a communication error with UPS and three package want initially sent. Customer service was polite and helpful and another shipment was created. Overall I'm very happy with my purchase

For the price, the phone is amazing. The camera is the best I've had, touch is responsive, and apps run fast. It lacks an SD port so memory can't be upgraded and all the pre-stored ringtones and alert chimes are super fruity, but neither are real problems if you can manage your storage well.

I am a researcher who plows through volumes of information in making decisions, such as purchasing a new phone. While I cannot compare it to other phones on the market, this $400 phone has done everything I needed it too at a try-me-price! So far, I found it a good size for my hand; the battery lasts about two days with moderate use; and it includes some neat features. I mostly use my phone for communicating via voice and text, but I also read the news, listen to music, and play a game here and there. This amount of use would kill the battery in my old phone quickly, but the Pixel 3a keeps on going! I have only had it just over a week, but it does everything I need my phone to do. I have only taken a few photos, but the quality has been good, and the lighting adjustments worked well. The phone seems durable using it throughout the day in different locations. I like the squeeze feature as well! All Google means everything plays well together too!!
So why only four stars, you ask? Well, one feature that seemed normal was voicemail. In every previous smartphone, I had the ability to select a voicemail and listen to it - i.e., there was an app for that. However, there is no way to access your voicemail on the Pixel 3a, so the only way to get your voicemail is to call your voicemail number... And, there does not seem to be a decent app in the Google Play Store. Being able to see your voicemail messages was a handy feature that seems to have disappeared. Please provide a simple app that allows you to see voicemail messages and play/pause/delete them OR similar to how I can see a transcript of a Google Assistant call's message by selecting the call, create a link to voicemail feature.
Fix this and it is a 5-Star phone!

Purchased the Pixel 3A to replace my LG V20.
For $400 this looks like a great phone.
I am done with dropping $40/month on a Flagship Phone...
Read a lot of reviews on it, many said it had a great camera, which is what I wanted.
I have not experimented with it much yet.
Turning on the Pixel walks you through a setup which worked for everything except switching my Verizon Wireless
phone number. I had to call and speak with someone, which did not take too long.
The cable for connecting the new and old phones and transferring everything did not work.
Probably an issue with the LG.
Ultimately I used the Verizon Transfer app that worked great and moved a lot of stuff over.
It did take 1.5 hours to move Pics, Videos, etc.

I haven't had this phone long, but the battery seems to last! I chose the Pixel 3a because of the size, it's not as wide as the xl and it fits my hand better. The camera is really nice and the video it takes is amazing!

Really like the longer, more narrow size of the Pixel 3a. Easier to hold and handle. Google phone has many less useless-built-in apps than my previous Samsung. I'm told that phone calls are much clearer and I agree that sound is very clear.
There is a learning curve as far as swiping, settings, and location of items. Saving and sending attachments is also different from Samsung. Just takes some experimenting and practice. In addition, the Pixel 3a takes great pictures. Overall, a really good upgrade. I ordered a Spigen Rugged Armor case and Tauri glass screen protector and they are a perfect fit.

After using the same smartphone for five years, I was ready for an upgrade. After some searching, I landed on the Google Pixel 3a, and it was just the phone I was looking for. Slim and ergonomic, it offers standout features I didn't even realize existed, like the back-of-phone fingerprint scanner, the squeeze function to access Google Assistant, and the call screening option that I will miss terribly if I ever have to go without it again. I'm not much in the way of keeping up with the latest and greatest in tech, but the Google Pixel 3a introduced these great features to me in a user-friendly format that makes them appealing and easy to incorporate into my daily smartphone use.

I upgraded to this phone from an iPhone 6. I was a little hesitant because I had tried the Samsung Galaxy 8 and liked it, but I thought my iPhone was more intuitive and so I sold the Galaxy and went back to my iPhone. I have been very happy with this Google Pixel 3a. I read many reviews before deciding to try it. It is intuitive. It also has a fantastic camera. I love the night vision option on the camera! I have to admit, if iPhone had had a better sale, I would have purchased the iPhone 11. I did not want to spend that much, and I am very happy with my purchase. If you want a good phone without having to spend too much, I definitely recommend this phone.

Google has kept its promise to roll out Android 10 and software updates quickly. I highly recommend this phone because it will have much better software support than any other Android phone, no matter how great its hardware specs are. I'm very happy with the battery life, which, in my opinion, is far more important than almost all other performance metrics. Together with the Pixel camera, Google got the design of this phone right.

Probably my favorite of all the phones I've ever had. Didn't cost a mortgage payment, great camera, responsive, pretty customizable, nice looking, some fun features, loud speakers & not too big or small. I do miss the water-resistant/waterproof feature but it's a less expensive phone & purchased a waterproof phone. After a lot of research, it has most of what I was looking for in a phone & I'm not disappointed. Love it!!
