Customers are pleased with the Pixel 4 XL 128GB's camera quality and battery life, with many praising the amazing picture quality and long-lasting battery. The large, smooth screen also receives positive feedback, along with its ease of use. A common concern, however, is the lack of expandable storage options.

I will stop you right here.
If you want a Samsung phone, buy a Samsung
If you want an Apple, buy an Apple.
If you want a pure Android (google created Android OS) phone that will give you a truly different experience for phones, you should just buy this one.
Down Sides (Google needs to step it up these categories)
only 6GB Ram, this phone will be fine today but in 2 years...Probably not. If they would have gone with 8GB we could see this phone lasting to 3+ years.
Smaller battery than the competition. Don't get the smaller Pixel if battery is on your concern list in any way. If battery is a primary concern for you, go with the Samsung Note 10 with signifgantly better battery life. Again, google met the bar here, but only just. I would rate the smaller Pixel 4 a 1 star as the phone won't make it through a day of use. Pixel 4 XL will do a day, but you don't have the feeling you can truly push the limits.
Gimmick City. I can't review the motion since but that is because I haven't found a use for it yet. The face ID works but they needed to put finger print on this phone as well to help the transition. The problem with Face ID, along with security concerns, is the lack of ability to work for most banking apps (or nearly any app as of 11/12/2019). This will surely come with time but Google should have put a finger print scanner on this phone to help with the transition period.
No headphone jack. Blue tooth or dongle up.
Not a pageant winner. If looks matter the Samsung, One Plus, and even Apple all look better.
Only 64GB or 128GB version and no way to put a micro SD card in the phone. This is horrible. I highly recommend going with the 128GB version. This is a rip off but if you don't splurge here you will later for google storage. I recommend Amazon Pictures for back up and delete of you phone. But upgrades and apps alone will probably fill up 64GB in the next 2 years.
The Good
The phone has cool features. It listens to any music (think shazam) at all times and does not drain the battery. It will show you the tune your listening too on the lock screen. If you have face ID on this may be hard to see before unlocking the phone. I don't know where else to find the information. (just thought of this issue as I was typing this)
The phone can be integrated into your existing google systems.
Squeeze the phone for google Assistance.
Face ID is truly amazing, very quick and responsive. I know I harped on this in the negative but it is a great system.
Call quality is fantastic! This goes both ways. Everyone I talk to says I sound better. I came from a Samsung S7 Edge. So I may not know how good recent phones are.
90hz screen is super smooth.
This phone is solid. I can't complain as most of the negatives don't apply to me. But because of the amount of negatives and better phones out there I have to say that your better of avoiding this version. Unless you get a great deal, the price isn't worth it. I said I would not recommend this to a friend, simply because everyone has different needs.

I'm having a blast with my Pixel 4 XL. The camera is great, the refresh rate looks amazing, and the battery life is awesome. I hear a lot of complaints about battery - I'm not understanding why. My old phones would just drain at work even when not in use. I leave now with 85-90 percent each day. I really like the facial recognition too. Unlocks quick - I don't even miss the fingerprint scanner. That's the reason I waited to get this phone in the first place. The radar is tight too. Once you understand how to use it to change songs and stuff, it's nice. At first it's tough to get the movement and placement of hands, but now it works great. Just a learning curve.

I honestly wasn't going to upgrade, but BB had the $7.50 a month (24) promo, which was too good to pass up.
The phone is totally worth the upgrade at the promo price, but I wouldn't have done it at the $20 a month price.
As far as the phone. It is much snappier than the 2XL. Display, battery life, camera, and Google assistant makes the upgrade worth it for me.
I also got the Google Next Hub promo for free, which was a nice consolation prize for waiting almost a month for the phone.

Great phone! It had been years since I had my previous Google phone (Nexus 5) and it is sooooooo nice to be back and on the cutting edge of OS updates. The other Android phone vendors drag their feet up to a year or more on pushing out updates to their old devices.
So far this has been amazing. Excellent battery life, exceptional camera quality, and chock full of features. The built in radar is a bit finicky and doesn't add a whole lot to the user experience but that is about my only gripe. Oh and I wish it had a fingerprint sensor instead of face unlock. Look out for sales like I did.

I really liked this phone (Sprint Pixel 4 XL): great photos, call quality is also very good, battery (bear in mind this is for Pixel 4XL) takes me through a full day with usually 40-50% to spare, fast and responsive. However there is an ongoing issue with the phone dropping 4G/LTE signal and reverting to 3G, 2G, roaming and not being able to automatically reconnect to 4G/LTE when that signal becomes available (need to toggle airplane mode to reconnect). This happened to me several times (my phone and my wife's) and has never happened on my previous pone (S7 Edge). Also several users complaining of this behaivior w Pixel 3 and 4 see: community.sprint.com/t5/Moto-Google-Essential-Others/Pixel-3-xl-stuck-on-3g/m-p/1068457/highlight/false#M1316 or search for "Pixel 3 xl stuck on 3g". This causes interrupted data transfers (video, music, GPS, etc) and is a deal breaker for me. I am returning since i only have a few days left in my return period.

OK, so there are some legitimate gripes about this phone:
1. Battery life is not great, especially if you're a gamer. I have to charge 2-3 times a day from ~15% to ~60% when I'm playing Pokemon Go regularly. Charging is fast-ish.
2. Face unlock is neat and fast, but many apps don't allow it in place of fingerprint biometrics (looking at you, credit union apps).
3. No expandable storage means you're stuck with what you get, and deleting photos from the phone to save space leaves you with their low-quality versions on Google Photos (unless you pay for Google One, which I do).
But there are some awesome things, too:
1. Squeezable sides means never having to say "OK Google" in a crowded room.
2. Naked android is excellent, and the phone is smooth as butter.
3. Getting security updates near the 1st of every month is brilliant.
4. 90 Hz display is really pretty.
5. The camera is one of the best smartphone cameras in the world.
All-in-all, it's a great phone, and if you can get it on contract for less than $20/month, you'll find it a great value.

Better upgrade deal through Best Buy vs Sprint
Better battery life than Pixel 3
Faster internet connection
surprisingly effective facial recognition
I upgraded through Best Buy because they would let me own the phone, while Sprint only offered a Lease... I'm very happy I did.
The phone works incredibly well and as I've adjusted to some of the new navigation features, the phone has become so simple and enjoyable to use.
I went with the XL for the larger battery since the Pixel 3 had terrible battery life. With constant daily use for work email, messages, and news, I am getting through a full day with ~50% left at night.
The facial recognition works surprisingly well and is quite fast.
The internet connection on this phone is much faster than what I was getting with the Pixel 3... up to 3X faster running speed tests in the exact same location on the same network.

Coming from a Note 5 this phone is crazy! It's kinda complicated but I'm learning new tricks everyday. O was having problems where the phone wouldn't go-to LTE and be stuck on 3G. A lot of other people have this same problem. But I did a search and found a solution but not sure if it's a permanent fix. Only time will tell. But for the most part it's a fun phone and takes great pics!

I'm coming from Samsung note 8 and I must say this phone is amazing. Camera lowlight and zoom lense is amazing. Battery life is more than enough for me. Software features are the best experience in an Android. Call screening, Google Assistant, 90hertz display, Dual Speakers are loud and clear, screen doesn't get as bright as Samsung phones but it's good enough. No problem in sunlight. Overall I'm very happy with the phone.

This is my first Google phone so it is taking me time to figure it all out. It would help if there had been a manual included with the phone. However, the display is gorgeous, the size of the XL is massive (compared to previous phones), and the sound is extraordinary. I hope I get a few years of service out of this phone considering the relatively high cost. Anyway, I am happy to have it.

Just picked up my newest phone, the Google Pixel 4XL. I have found this phone to be super easy to use and the size is just right. The ring tones were pretty basic but I was able to download and install a nicer ring tone. Swipes and gestures are very intuitive and the screen is very fast to respond. Highly recommenced.

Device was great regardless of all the online reviews. Battery never died early even with forced 90Hz display and the simplicity of the pixel launcher was outstanding. However, ever time I powered on the device that beluga forehead on the phone would always stand out to me. I switched from the LG V40 a 6.3 inch display phone to the Pixel 4Xl another 6.3 inch display phone, but regardless of them being the same size it the forehead made it seem smaller. I have friend to whom I lent the phone to and within seconds of using the phone they wouldn't even notice the forehead. I guess this phone just wasn't made for me. I ended up switching to the Note 10+ because of the size of the screen and lack of a forehead.

I have the Google Pixel 3XL and got this for a family member because of a great deal Best buy had.
The phone is definitely great and its fast. I just wish 128GB was a standard lowest space amount it came with, not 64GB. Not sure why they did that.
Also removing the finger print verification to unlock the phone was a big miss. Not a big fan of the face recognition.
Overall it is a very speedy phone and the family member does love it, a big upgrade from the prior phone, but these small little things just doesnt allow me to give it the best rating out there.

Took a chance on this after reading a ton of mixed reviews. I'm glad I did! It's an excellent overall performer. Fantastic camera--the best I've ever used on a smartphone. Astrophotography is a wonder! Android works as it should and I'm loving being on the latest software after being on the Samsung slow boat upgrade journey for years. Battery is not a problem as long as you have reasonable expectations. It will get you through a day of moderate use, not more. I've also run into a couple of signal glitches with Sprint LTE, but a quick toggle of airplane mode takes care of it. Never would have purchased this at full price, but Sprint's pre-Christmas sale was too hard to pass up. Glad I went for it!

Prior to purchasing this phone I was using the Essential Phone. This phone is everything I was expecting. Compared to the essential phone everything is better.
What I love:
*camera is simply amazing. I've always been skeptical of cellphone camera quality, especially night photos. This camera does not disappoint.
*overall smoothness. I have over 200 apps installed and this phone runs so smoothly you wouldn't think it has anything installed.
What could be better :
Sure the battery isn't amazing but I can easily get through a day without charging. Typically between 4 and 5 hours of screen time. Again still an improvement from my previous phone.
A good value for your money as I got the best phone on the market for $180 with sprint.

The Pixel 4 continues Google's tradition of smartphones that are good at everything, but not really exceptional at anything. The notable standout here is the battery life: This phone charges fast and holds enough juice to make phone calls, browse the web, listen to music, read books, or whatever else you want to do... all day long.
If you need a do-everything phone with exceptional battery life, and you don't mind the price point, consider the Pixel 4 XL.

I've been using Samsung Phones for the longest and finally decided to try another brand. Honestly it works just as good as a Samsung haven't had any issues with it haven't found any bugs. I've had this phone for 5 months and I'm happy with it. Now there are certain things that are different from a Samsung like settings and getting certain things done but it's expected since it's Two different companies. Pictures are amazing on this so far my favorite things is the night or dark setting. When you are in low light area the picture come out like if you where well lit place. I've compared pictures on that mode with a S10 and the Google is better.
