I love this phone. The camera is great! The sound is good. Nice screen, It's pure Android. But the battery life is not that great. Just average at best. Thus the 4 stars instead of 5. I'm retired now so it's not a deal breaker, but if I was out in the field selling - battery life would be an issue. I do love that itis pure Google and I have so many Google products This works seamlessly with them. Just needs a bigger battery.

Out of necessity, I had to replace my old phone. I spent many weeks watching reviews of phones on various YouTube channels to make ensure I make the right decision. Initially I didn't consider this phone because it's style is out of date with the forehead and chin, and it also sports a snapdragon 855, which is not the newest processor. However, I was not in the market for a premium phone in the 800 to 1200 dollar range, so I looked at intermediate phones including the pixel 3a, hwawei, and one plus. Ultimately, the Pixel was offered for 300 off, bringing it to the mid tier range. Consequently, I took the leap and have been very pleased with the phone. It runs basic Android as it is a Google phone so it doesn't have the phone manufacturers skins and bloat on it. It is very smooth and to be honest, I have gotten over the looks very quickly. In fact, it has actually grown on me. The camera is outstanding. By far, it takes the best photos of any phone I have ever owned or operated. Be wary, it does not have an ultr wide camera. The one issue the phone has is the battery size. If you're a power user, you'll need a battery backup, mid day charge, or I suggest you go a different direction. Ultimately, it's a very good phone.

The Pixel 4XL in Clearly White is a good looking phone. The white is a matte finish, so no worries of fingerprints if you go naked. The added ram helps applications stay in memory longer, so less loading of apps when you switch back to them. The camera is probably what everyone cares about on a Pixel, and Google didn't disappoint. Compared to my Iphone 11 Pro Max, the color temperature is different and the Iphone has better detail in photos. I like the Iphone photos better, but it's going to come down to personal prefrence. One area where the Pixel outshines the Iphone is with astrophotography. The Pixel can take long exposure photos up to 4 minutes to help capture the stars. Really, the phone just works extremely well. One concern is battery life. The screen on time could be better, but most people are around a charger and can top off if needed. If you are looking for the best that Google has to offer, look no further.

My first Pixel and got it due to the obvious reason - the camera. Not too much experience yet but the photos I've taken are excellent. Coming from an S9+ there are some OS differences I am getting used to. Do miss having the 3 functions at the bottom (mostly the home and back) but getting used to being gesture only. You only see 4 notification icons at the top and the volume buttons only control media unless you go to all sounds but I guess both of those are pure Android things - not just this phone. Phone is super fast and very fluid. Screen is gorgeous and with auto brightness in the sun it's better than I thought it would be. The battery lasts me about 14 hours or more with moderate usage. I turned off the 90Mhz screen and a few other things like squeeze for Assistant and some of the Soli features. Miss the fingerprint but the face unlock is fast. Waited for the Black Friday sale and the phone is definitely worth the $600 BF price. $1,000 would be a stretch for me but that's any phone.

I've been a pixel user since day 1. I upgraded me original pixel XL to the pixel 4 xl. What a great phone. Screen is brilliant, and fast as can be. Battery could be a bit better but I'll still get a full day without looking for the charger. Highly recommend

The good thing about the pixel 4 xl is that it's pure Android and gets the first and latest updates with great camera but others are already beating Google to that now. Another is the 90hz screen refresh rate and that is pretty much it. Other phones have 90hz and even 120hz refresh rate in the screen and better camera photo quality plus wide photo capture. The the motion sensor gestures is gemicy and I I don't use it at all. Security it great and unlocks quick sometimes to quick and even when I just take out the phone out if my pocket to put in the table. Google is still on 6gigs of ram and every other flagship phone is either on 8 and 12 gigs if RAM for the same price, some even cost less than the pixel. The only reason I went with Verizon is because they were the only ones that had pixels with 125 gigs of storage which where I can only use 112 gigs and barely enough for me, other phones can add an sdcard for more storage too.

I was on the fence for a month about buying this phone. I watched tons of review videos and realized I would just have to try it for myself. I am coming from a strictly Samsung use for the last 7 years, Apple before that. The phones intuitive features and lack of dedicated back and home keys takes a little getting used to but after a week or so they are very ease of use. I have not experienced the battery problems others have had. I use my phone for calls texts and audio continuous over Bluetooth for 10 hrs during my workday and I have not been below 40 percent yet. Laying in bed on a night off, using apps and video and screen time you will use about 50 percent in 5hrs. The phone is a little thicker than Samsung models and you can feel that in your hand but it doesn’t take away from the overall experience. The screen refresh is very fast and seem less when moving between apps. The face unlock is also seamless and very fast. I gave the phone 4 stars as I have no real complaints, but I also have no real plus plus options to give it a five star rating. For me a plus plus on my samsung notes are the s pen and the curved screen.

This unit runs as one would expect. It's fast & fluid. The camera takes a really high amount of great pics. I like the 3D face recognition unlock. The battery life could be better but it's fine for those who normally have access to a charger layer in the day if you're a heavy user.

I upgraded from my Pixel 1. This phone is a great update. Feels exactly the same as before just newer. This phone will give you the pure Google experience. I opted for the XL which is less than an inch taller than the regular Pixel 4. Battery for me has been great. It's important to play around with settings and get things just right. The way I use the phone it says my battery will last over a day. Camera is beautiful. Night sight is awesome. To me it feels like a quality phone. The only thing I miss is the finger print sensor on the back, but face recognition works pretty well. I had an issue after removing my face data to try and make it work better, but after doing that it wouldn't recognize me. I had to restore my phone, but now it's working great. Google knows there's an issue and will have an update in the next monthly update (from what they told me). Don't listen to naysayers, you will not be disappointed in this phone.

I had the Pixel 2XL and 3XL. Although all the tech reviews made me seriously considering an One Plus phone, I still went with the Pixel 4XL. Phone itself didn't wow me from its previous models, it only felt like a slightly upgraded 3XL. Battery was not as bad as I first feared, I used forced 90htz refresh rate and turned off the motion sense. Typically getting 5+ hours of screening time. Screen is beautiful yet a little dark. Software is fluid and RAM management is good. Camera is good, but would really benefit if it had a wide angle lense and better video taking. Google assistant seems improved as well. Overall, just a solid phone besides the big bezel on top. I would recommend the phone if you like Android OS and anti-Samsung.

If you're a fan of the pixel experience, you won't be disappointed. There's a lot of negativity surrounding the battery and lack of ultra wide camera and all that. But it's garbage, don't buy into the negative tech culture hype. This phone is legit. The camera is excellent, that battery is sufficient enough to hold you over until you find a place to charge up, and the lack of ultra wide really doesn't make a difference if I'm honest. It's not as though your going to need the extra space in frame every single shot you take with this camera. Trust your gut, but give this phone a spin.

My wife has enjoyed this phone. The face unlock has worked great. Was worried a lack of finger print reader was going to be painful but don't miss it. Phone is fast and love the camera.

With the best cell phone camera and the purest form of Android pixel is hard to beat yes ram and storage need to be bigger but I have plenty of storage for all my apps and music.

Switched from an iPhone 7, this being my first Android in years, it delivered. The first week took some getting used to but there is nothing I miss from an apple phone other than FaceTime, DUO seems to work Ok. Cons: The battery life is so so, not much better than the iPhone 7 in real world usage. Still having to charge it every day towards late afternoon during a weekday is not impressive. Pros: What is impressive is the camera, point and shoot is phenomenal! The night shots are very impressive! The only reason I'd recommend it. It's easy to use once you get used to the gestures. Overall, it gets the job done. I don't know if I'd buy it again but then again I wouldn't go back to an iPhone either. Glad I got the phone for 35% off, its so not worth paying full price for it.

I've been a longtime Google Pixel fan but debated whether the Pixel 4 XL was worth the upgrade. It is. The camera continues to be strong with nice zoom ability and one of the, if not the, best low light setups available on any mobile phone. I was weary of losing a fingerprint sensor in favor of the face unlock feature. But, face unlock works incredibly quick and accurate with more and more apps updating to use the functionality. The motion control is not really useful for much outside of controlling music playing from device. The big draw of course is the software. Running with just enough RAM it's smooth, quick and clean. A solid choice all around. Of you're coming from a Pixel 3/XL a worthy upgrade if you pick it up at sale price.

Overall a great purchase. Not one I would make transitioning from a pixel 3 but certainly worth it from a lower model. Battery life is a huge disappointment however my OG pixel was needing charged multiple times a day so anything that lasts the whole day with moderate to heavy use is an upgrade. Some new features like radar are cool but outside the gimmick of having it I don't use it. Camera stands out as the winner and reason why I still own a pixel.

Ever since I switched from my Iphone to a Samsung phone and then to a Pixel, i just dont think im going back to anything else. I just love everything about this phone, the operating system, the screen, and of course, the Camera....which is the main reason why I purchased this phone... It is just amazing how good pictures come out of this camera. Im very happy with this device and totally recommend it.

Love this phone! Love the camera! runs incredibly fast. screen is vibrant and everything just pops. They improved everything except one thing. I miss the fingerprint scanner! There, I said it! face recognition isn't the end all be all of security on a phone. I miss using my finger on the back of the phone to quickly unlock my phone and log into apps. Other than that this phone is highly recommended.
