These phones are stellar for the price! Battery life is the best I've had, speed and functionality rival the flagship devices, for a moderate user. I would recommend this to anyone who's looking to leave ios, or for any one who wants a quick, light and excellent device!

Probably one of the best, if not the best, bang for your buck if wanting an affordable android phone. Perfect size, great speakers, stellar camera and enough battery life to get you through the day. Truth be told I switched from an iphone 11 pro max and have zero regrets.

Very satisfied with the performance and smoothness of this phone. Operates as good as a 800 dollar phone. Cannot complain about this phone for the price. Only complaint is no wireless charging but not worth extra 300 dollars to get a phone with wireless.

I am a big fan of stock-Android phones (I can't stand the bloatware that many other manufacturers add) and this one didn't disappoint. There are phones out there with faster processors, but this phone is more than fast enough for my needs.
The battery holds its charge well and I can get more than one day of use out of it with typical usage. For those times when I need to stretch the battery a bit more, it comes with two levels of battery saver.
My favorite feature has to be the camera and Google's photo software. It takes consistently good pictures and people are jealous of the quality of the pics I can get in low light.
It doesn't have 5G but that hasn't been a problem so far.
If I was going to change something, I'd perhaps go with a little wider screen.

We needed an additional phone and I wanted to be under $500 and Android. The One Plus Nord still has not released and I have been watching this phone for some time. The phone is small, but has a decent weight to it. You can tell it is a budget phone if you have experienced either other Pixel's or other flagship phones. The screen is surprisingly good for $350. The performance is adequate; a reviewer on The Verge pointed out that this phone will most likely not keep up for two years performance wise and I agree. The phone is fast enough now but two years of software updates and this phone is going to be pretty slow. (If we get 18 months out of the phone that will be considered a win.) I was setting the notifications on the phone last night with the volume set to 100 and the speaker is quiet. I believe this only has a single speaker instead of a stereo pair. That could be a bit of a problem if you are hearing impaired as you may miss audible notifications. Overall I am happy with the phone, for $350 it is exactly what I expected. I gave it four stars for the CPU, a slightly faster CPU would have been a better choice. The other challenge (and this is purely timing on my part) is that I bought a Pixel 3 XL on black for $500. The added $150 seems like a reasonable amount to spend to get so much more phone over this one. I will definitely keep my Pixel for 2 years. This criticism is a tougher to quantify as its timing, if it were black Friday I could probably get Pixel 4 for less than $500. Currently this is the best phone for the $, so this was the one we purchased.

I switched from an OnePlus 7T, and I will say this Pixel 4a is awesome. Before the OP7T, I had an iPhone XS Max, and the smaller screen has redefined the way I use phones again (and I love it).
Not only can you use this phone with one hand, but the tiny selfie cam notch is also so far out of the way it makes the screen feel huge. Plus, the fingerprint scanner on the back is positioned great, and I almost have my hand on it just holding the phone.I have seen no issues due to power, or any other features. The google software features like the dictation on the note-taking app are priceless for students and work flawlessly. The camera is also unbelievable for just one single 12 MP lens.
For $350, this phone is hands down the king. It has changed my whole perspective on what budget phones can be, and how over-priced and over-powered flagships are.

I've only had the phone for a few days now and I'm thoroughly impressed already. I've owned premium Samsung devices and worked as a representative for both LG and Samsung. Now Samsung and LG both make fantastic phones I'm now convinced that spending close to a thousand dollars for a phone is really more about bragging rights and status symbols than practicality. The polycarbonate chassis on the pixel feels premium and the display is bright, crisp and beautiful. I'm amazed at the quality of the photos I've already taken (night photography is next level) and the stock Android user experience is butter smooth. Although the phone feels small and compact the display doesn't feel small. Battery life is pretty decent but I've yet to try the battery saving mode. I think Apple, Samsung and LG need to take notice, this is how you build a flagship slaying phone on a budget.

Review of Pixel 4A and as a first time user of a "Smart Phone" I find this to take some time to get use to coming from flip phones. Lots of help from Google has helped me to get going and am still learning about all the great features and benefits of this great phone. The 128gb is great and am impressed with the photos so far but I'm still learning all the features of the phone and camera. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this phone compared to most and the battery has been better than expected although I've been doing mostly updates and the included charger has been very fast. As far as I'm concerned this is the best buy for your dollar out there.

I am not good with technology. At all. This phone was picked up easily by T-Mobile without even having to go to the store.
There are only a couple of things I'm not fond of, like how if you're trying to check the time while on a call, the screen blinks in and out. The other thing that bothers me is that the System UI tends to stop responding, but it's a lot better than my previous device, and so far it hasn't given me any trouble.
It's small and easy to carry, and getting a case makes it the perfect size to hold. The color is beautiful, and even though I didn't buy it for the camera, it takes surprisingly good pictures.
I like the features, and it's easy to use.

I migrated away from Samsung and onto the google pixel. While there are a couple things about the Samsung I liked better, I am getting used to this. The price makes it very attractive to me. While I like having a smart phone, all the bells and whistles of a $1000 phone are useless to me. All they really serve are those who want others to know they spent $1000 on a phone. This phone does a good job (in my opinion) of keeping high end features but removing the cruft and keeping the price down. Unless you have to have wireless charging, I would fully recommend this phone. The quality of the phone is also great. I have recently moved and have twice now dropped this phone a on a cement basement floor. No cracks, works fine, in fact, I doubt you would even be able to tell I dropped it if you looked at it close.

I bought this phone to replace my old Honor 7x and was blown away with everything. I got it a day before my daughter's wedding and every picture and video I took was amazing!!! I didn't mess with settings and everything was great. Days later I found out that my videos was 1080p instead of 4k, so I changed that setting, but 1080p videos I shot at the wedding were amazing anyway.
I'm not a power user; I do calls, text, browse the web, use radio and podcasts apps and the battery last all day for me.
Call quality is very good. Using Google Duo is super sharp and clear.

This takes very nice up close pictures with the back camera. Normal pictures are okay. They are not bad but they are not as crisp as am iPhone. (My last was an 8) the up close pictures are a lot better than the iphones. The face camera low key is the typical android face camera. Not clear but not blurry. The phone has a had a couple glitches with sending out messages but works fine if I restart it once a day. I got the phone the day it came out so bugs were expected. Very great phone for $350 compared to $1000 I would spend getting a new iphone. Well worth the money spent if you don't care about having a face id scanner and other luxery functions.

I got tired of my slow old budget android phone, and after lots of research I got the 4A hoping it would be the perfect balance of budget and performance. Luckily, I was right! We took a vacation right after I bought it and I love the quality of the pictures and videos I took. This phone is a true gem! It is quick to play Mario Kart mobile, which my old phone struggles with. Going back and forth between apps is also quick. I like the call screening option built in... In all I am extremely happy with this purchase. It was the best $350 I spent in the last 5 years!

Long time Apple user, have been using an iPhone X for the last few years. Also have dabbled work Android, using older Google phones including an original Pixel.
Was easy to get the phone sorted out. Popped in a new sim card as I was adding a number. Had to do some tweaking mostly on the Apple side to get some data available (iCal is a pita).
After a couple of weeks of use I'm satisfied, especially for the money. I don't feel like anything is lacking compared to my iPhone X. About the same size (I hate large phones), lighter in weight, and display and responsiveness is similar. Plug it has a headphone jack. I keep trying to talk myself into getting a Pixel 5 but this phone for everything I need. No-brainer for the price.

I purchased this phone as a replacement for a Pixel 1 whose battery was becoming very weak. I wanted a basic phone with a good camera at a good price. I did not need all the bells and whistles of the premier level phones nor did I want pay that much for a device that only lasts 2-3 years. This one does everything I need it to. I like the plug for headphones that I use with a Bose headset that I have had for a while. Since this phone is from Google I don't have to wait for OS upgrades. The single lens camera can do most of the things the multi-lens cameras on the expensive phones can do. 128Gb memory is an improvement over the 64Gb on the 3a. Only wish they had made a 4a XL. I am very happy with my purchase.

I've had the phone for almost a month now and I'm very happy with it. I researched the phone before buying, so I knew this wouldn't behave like a flagship model. But at less than a third of the cost of a flagship, it still does everything I really want, especially compared to the old S7 it replaced. I can go a full day between charges. The screen is bright and the touch interface is quite responsive. I haven't noticed any lag so far. The Nightsight camera mode is a fun toy for low-light and night sky shots. And you can make phone calls!
Look elsewhere if you have to have 5G or wireless charging or blinding speed for games. Buy this phone if you want to do 98% of what the flagships do for much less money.
