By far my favorite phone I've ever owned. Seriously, I couldn't possibly list all of my favorite features without it being more helpful to just link back to the product overview.

⭐ Great While It Worked, but Disappointing Issue ⭐

The Google Pixel 6 has some great features, like a sleek design, excellent camera quality, and smooth performance thanks to the Tensor chip. The display was vibrant and sharp initially, and I loved the clean Android experience with unique Pixel features like Live Translate and the helpful Google Assistant. However, after about 1 year, the screen stopped working entirely, which was incredibly frustrating for a device at this price point. While customer service was helpful in addressing the issue, it’s disappointing to experience such a major flaw so soon. Battery life and overall performance were good while it lasted, but reliability is a key factor, and this problem dampened my overall experience.

This turned out to be the best phone I have used so far. It should have been a five star product for me but for one little gripe. I got tired of the tons of bloatware on the Samsung platform which is what I have used mostly. Having multiple apps for the same task because I am unable to uninstall the samsung version. If you are a minimalist and want a phone that is free of bloat, is very responsive and intuitive, I really dont believe you can beat the value of this phone. It is plain vanilla android, just the way google intended android to be. It is also priced to perfection in my opinion. My only gripe is the fingerprint scanner which I feel is underwhelming. I am not sure if it will be improved by a software update but I have quite a few failed attempts each day. For the price, and the added five years of support for this device, this is a no brainer to me. Fast, responsive and well priced. Flagship.

I really love pixels but this device was the 3 one I had to return doe to poor quality control. My screen had blotchy green tints all over the screen very unhappy with that. Also call quality was so very choppy and it kept cutting in and out maybe because it isn't using a Qualcomm network Chip Same thing happened to apple years back when they tried to do away with Qualcomm.

If Android is your preference, you should get a Pixel phone. Software updates are regular and supported for at least a few years. You get the latest security updates and features from Google directly. This phone has an amazing screen, a striking design, and (for me) the best camera in a smart phone. The Sorta Seafood color looks great - I ended up with a clear case because I like to see the color. The camera housing is large, but not noticeable or bothersome in daily use. It has the advantage of sitting stable when you set it down, no rocking back and forth. On the software side, I love the call screening feature and ability to automatically avoid spam calls. Also, notifications on Android are really good, actionable, and provide a lot of info in a small space. Android 12 has user friendly customization options - setting your accent color from the wallpaper is really cool and reflected across most of the operating system. The screen is so good. The OLED of course has great contrast, colors are bright, and this is a big screen. Also, grab the Pixel buds if you need a wireless ear bud. They work great, look nice, and have amazing sound. The problem I have (why I'm giving it 4 stars) - this is a big and heavy phone, and right now there isn't a smaller or lighter Pixel option. Perhaps a Pixel 6A coming in the future would be lighter. This is defiantly a two handed phone for most people.

Google phones has always been amazing, if you are looking for the purest android experience without all that bloatware on your phone then look no further this phone won't do you no wrong. its snappy, responsive and beautiful. Only thing is the fingerprint reader not being consistent, and also some screen protector doesn't play nicely with the fingerprint (Spigen, but they removed the listing from their page), I removed the screen protector and the fingerprint is working more then before when I had the screen protector on All & all I highly recommend this phone, pure android, great camera, modern design, snappy!

My wife is very happy with this phone, and I'm seriously considering leaving the Samsung Galaxy family I've had for years. We haven't run into any issues that others have seen. Most important feature for her is camera quality and she loves this phone (previous phone was Huawei P20 Pro which was no slouch in that department). Speed, display, and battery life have all been acceptable, and the lower price compared to other flagships made this a no-brainer. Would've loved a different color other than black, but that was the only color available in the 256GB size when I bought it, and a phone case covers that up anyway so no biggie.

I have had several Android phones over the years. Motorola, Samsung, OnePlus and then switch to Pixel 3a XL. That Pixel was a beast and just a tad slow. It was getting old and with the Pixel 6/6 Pro coming out I knew I wanted to upgrade. I tried a 6 Pro, but the curves screen and less than stellar batter did not make the phone worth $300 more. I picked up the 6 and it is overall an impressive phone that has 2 short comings. First a weak in screen finger print scanner. Put a sensor on the back again , please. Second the subpar battery life. I don't understand how Apple can continue to dominate with battery life while Android needs bigger batteries and still cant touch the iPhones. Google needs 500mAh more in the 6 and 6 Pro to truly compete. Overall outside those 2 issues the phone is good. It is quick and I like Android 12 so far. The battery app is garbage so I loaded a third party battery tool that tells me much more about what my phone is using. I disabled 90Hz and 5G as those 2 hurt battery and now at least it seems on par with my Pixel 3a XL. Very sad that they can't do better.

The android phone to beat, in this price range.

Like the title says, this is the phone to beat in this particular arena. This is aimed to take on the S21 and other potential rivals. Just to state, you cannot compare this to the S21 Ultra, that fight belongs to the Pixel 6 Pro in the ultra premium segment. The Pixel 6 reigns supreme in the mid to premium segment. Camera, excellent. Low light photography is fantastic. The camera interface is also super simple and easy to use. The motion blur adds some fun to the camera experience. Portrait works pretty good adding bokeh. The integration with Google Photos is also great to easily edit most effects. Photos also have very natural colors, does not seem to be as unnaturally boosted like Samsung tends to do. No real complaints. Battery is also excellent. I personally don't care for the 90hz refresh rate. With that feature disabled I regularly get 2 days battery life, generally a day and a half with it activated. Colors are screen appear to be accurate to real life. Build quality is great, no issues with fit an finish with my device. Speakers are more than adequate when I'm quickly watching or sharing something. If I'm really listening to something on my phone I'm using bluetooth headphones. Range and sound quality with bluetooth is also great, quality is highly dependent on what headphones you are using due to codecs. It is nice with this purely Google device not having my device always syncing to Google servers and the additional Samsung services like the S21 series and other manufacturer devices. This also leads to much less bloatware as other manufacturers have lot of redundant software that duplicates what Googles apps offer that tend to do a better job. A great example of redundancy issues is with the Samsung camera app, you cannot edit any of the effects in Google Photos. You need to use Samsung Gallery which I don't recommend as Google Photos is superior. I don't need 2 contact syncs, 2 calendar syncs, etc. I could keep writing and nitpick little things between this and other devices but that would be overkill at this point. At the end of the day unless you need crazy zoom features like Pixel 6 Pro or S21 Ultra this is the device to get.

I got this on sale. Phone quality is very good. Android 13 on a Pixel device feels more limited than on a Samsung. Google's android UI has a search bar on the home screen that cannot be removed. Overall, for the price I paid for a flagship phone, it is worth it. One major issue of the phone is that Google locks the pixel to only extend the display of the phone on another monitor or TV with the use of a paid software or a desktop dongle that cost about $100. This was a major let down when I discovered this major limitation, especially from a native Google phone.

The pixel 6 is exactly what Google said it would be. It is the most powerful pixel ever with a super fast processor, machine learning, silky smooth performance, gorgeous display, beautiful design along with an excellent top of the line camera and the battery life is a beast getting 2 days of battery life with 10 hours of SOT. It's worth buying and I recommend this phone to anyone.

I loved my Google pixel 2. The quality of this phone does not hold up, namely in the camera. They put a lot of emphasis on the camera in this model, and yet they completely sacrificed the quality of the front facing camera. No more selfies unless you want grainy and washed out colors. The back camera has a blurred, fish eye vignette filter that cannot be removed. This is a nightmare for anyone who uses their phone camera for documents, artwork, or close up subjects. Landscape shots are still only comparable to previous models. Plus it weighs a TON and I've developed carpal tunnel with normal use.

Outstanding phone, just a little too big. It still fits in my lady pockets, but it's hard to reach the important parts of the screen when using one-handed. It's also very heavy. That said, I love the camera upgrades, the Assistant integration, the incredibly long battery life, etc.

This is an update of my previous review from 4 days ago. My negatives were the extremely slippery phone without a case, the camera lump and the fingerprint reader. After a week I finally got my case. That problem solved. The camera lump I knew about at the purchase so I have to live with that. But the fingerprint reader is completely unacceptable. I changed my rating from 4 stars to 3 stars. I used the fingerprint reader on my 4a constantly. Without a screen protector and with screen sensitivity turned all the way up, I got an estimated 80% failure to read. After putting the screen protector on today I reinstalled my prints; both thumbs and both index fingers. I made sure the screen sensitivity was at the max. The phone allows 6 tries before switching to your PIN to open. I turned the lock screen on 24 times and used each finger 6 times until the PIN screen came up. So 6 print scans for each of 4 fingers, times 6 attempts for each before the PIN screen came up is 144 attempts. The phone was successful once. That is a 0.69% success rate. If you use the fingerprint scanner on your phone don't buy this one. And don't believe Google's baloney excuses like I did. My Pixel 4a worked great. I wasted $699 on this Pixel 6 / 256.
