Customers are saying

Customers regard the Pixel 7a 5G 128GB (Unlocked) highly for its excellent camera quality, impressive battery life, and ease of use. Many appreciate the screen size and find it offers great value for the price. While some users miss the headphone jack and note occasional heating issues, the positive feedback on the camera and overall performance outweighs these concerns. The phone's design and smooth refresh rate are also frequently praised.

    Great Budget Smartphone

This is my second Pixel, my first was a 4. My 4 had this bug where whenever I got a phone call, I could hear the person but they could not hear me. This only seemed to happen with people who had HD phone call enabled (I think this is a Verizon thing?). Anyways, I purchased this Pixel to try and remedy the issue as this one currently runs Android 14. However I have had two occasions where this bug happens again. I've inspected the microphone for any type of lint build up, in which there was none. Overall the Pixel 7a is a good budget model for your smartphone needs. The camera is much better than the 4, though it is not a top-of-the-line set up. Battery life is like all smartphones I've had; if they're on WiFi it's a slower drain than if it's on Data. I also keep the display on night mode because the blue light can be pretty intense when on full brightness.

Another solid entry in the Google Pixel line. The 7a is a major step up from the 5a I was using before. Compared to other Android phones, Google knocks the camera and processing out of the park, especially for the "budget" line and not the flagship.

Good phone, fun to use, ease of use, good camera. Battery life is the weak link here. Average to below battery life I'd say. I've since moved on to a better phone..take that as it is I guess! If this fits your budget and battery life is not a big issue for you..it's great otherwise!!

The camera is amazing and is the primary reason I got this phone but I was very suprised at how long the battery lasts. My phone was having issues charging from my cable (bad cable) and I didnt noticed for a day because the battery was only at 60% on day 2.

I have just returned to a Google device from OnePlus for the first time since the Nexus One. I love the no-bloat, no-nonsense approach to an operating system. The 7a is serviceable for most tasks, including high-end gaming and multi-tasking. The battery lasts all day for me with moderate use. The inclusion of wireless charging has been a great addition as well.

I have had the phone for a week. I upgraded from the Pixel 3 XL. While the screen size is smaller, I found it is more responsive. The layout is generally the same with Android 14. Some things that are worth mentioning is the camera. It is fantastic! The battery seems to last a bit longer as well.

Great phone! We got it when it was released back in May. We replaced a Samsung Galaxy S10. It took a minute to adjust to the new UI. It’s been good since and we’ve recommended this phone to many since. It takes good pictures and has good battery life. Everything else is very good, as well.

Nice phone. Coming from an iPhone 7 plus to this, this is so much faster to today's standards. The price was just right. I didn't want to spend an arm and a leg for the hottest Android or iPhone. This is perfect and by reading up it's just as good as a pixel 8 or iPhone 15 if any top dollar phone

Everything about this phone is amazing. The camera takes amazing pics and the software for editing helps when there might be a little blur. Setting up the phone for use was so simple. It is easy to move through the screens and applications. It is simply an amazing phone!

I've had the Google Pixel 7a for roughly a month and I honestly say I'm overall pretty happy with it, the screen is nice, the haptic feedback is nice and clicky, the UI is straightforward, I love the gestures, and of course the developer option is fantastic. Furthermore the camera AI software is still mind-blowing and its features as well, the camera itself is fine. however I do somewhat prefer the feel and size of my Pixel 4a5g which was a bit flatter and wider, and I am a fan of the back fingerprint reader rather than an on screen one, but that's more of a personal preference, but I do feel the gps isn't as good as my previous phone where on something like Pokemon Go my location shoots over 5 blocks or even on Google Maps itself it occasionally lags, but I'm not certain if this is a hardware or software issue, but it's something I'll look into. But overall it's a very very solid affordable phone

Great phone and camera. Has all of the most current features with easy access to apps. Battery life seems great. My only complaint so far is that phone reception does not seem to be as good as my old Samsung. Will give it some time to get a more complete review.

This is my second pixel phone. I stayed with these since most of my house has Google devices. Overall the phone works great. Only weakness has been the presence sensing when attempting to utilize the home and away feature of the Google Home app. Works MOST of the time...but not every time. I like the size since it's one of the smallest Android phones available. (my ideal would be sized like the Droid mini, but those days are gone)

Flagship Power But With All The Pixel Drawbacks

The power and fluidity of the 7a pairs up to any flagship phone. The huge cons, though, are that it has an insanely dim screen where you can hardly see it outside on full brightness, Pixel's camera software in general is awful (I now have the Pixel 10 Pro) because it over processes the photo you took so it'll never look the way it does in the viewfinder and there's no way to turn that off in the setting. Also, don't listen to what any techtuber or the like says about vanilla android, compared to Samsungs UI this software is far more ugly and dull to use in comparison.

To be fair I got it on sale. The camera is amazing and battery life is great for me using adaptive battery. It far exceeds the price tag I actually have hope that I get 3 years out of it. I can't imagine complaining about this phone given it's price.
