Easy to use and like the smaller, slimmer size. Previous phone was Pixel 6. Not complicated. Very good camera.

Definitely quite a good improvement over the 7a. Processor faster, 7 years of updates, back camera better (front is the same). The body is amazing with the matte plastic and aluminum texture. New colors are fresh. One odd decision was the use of only gorilla glass 3. Might be more susceptible to scratching. Use a screen protector. It was too small for me personally but if you love compact phones, you will love this.

If you have a Google account you should get a Google phone. Everything is stored in the cloud, and easily accessible between your devices through your Gmail. These phones are awesome as well, photo processing is unbeatable and so is the price. I'm very impressed that a $500 phone takes better pictures than most flagship devices like Apple and Samsung. 5 out of 5 would recommend

Upgraded a Pixel 5 to this and it was a very easy transfer process that took a little time but was quite a painless process. Haven't had it very long yet but satisfied with the performance of the cameras and battery thus far. The phone is only slightly taller than the Pixel 5 and the fingerprint scanner is on the screen instead of the back of the phone now.

I purchased this phone to replace a Pixel 5A. The 8A feels a bit smaller and seems easier to operate one-handed. The display is great and the adaptive screen brightness is usually about right. The phone itself is fast enough. It doesn't seem much faster than the 5A, though. The camera does a great job and the editing is easy. Phone calls sound good and others tell me that they can hear me loud and clear. Some of the AI features seemed intrusive at first, but I turned off what I didn't really need to use. I did switch the bottom of the screen back to the "3 button mode". It comes set up to press your finger on the bottom of the screen and pull up. That never worked for me. All it did was bring up the "circle and search" feature. That's a constant reminder I would like turn off. The biggest downside for me was getting rid of the finger sensor on the back of the phone and making it a touch screen button. I've set mine up three times and it still only works about 70% of the time. Also, the battery could last longer for sure. I'm not what you'd call a "power user", but I do use my phone to check emails and to stream music at work. I'm not getting through an entire day on one charge with this phone. Overall, it's not a bad mid-range phone. I'm not sure that I'd recommend it wholeheartedly, though.

Excellent phone for very good price, if you are looking for a fast phone and you are not interested in the best camera in the market this is the phone, still has a good camera.

Pros: camera is probably the best part of this phone. Overall, the phone feels solid, well built. Cons: had issue with the fingerprint reader, but somehow it reads better after I set it to battery saver mode (not sure if there is correlation.) Data is slow although same sim is being used from my old pixel (maybe compatibility issue?)

For the price point, this item has been solid. Battery life is pretty good unless you use heavily through the day. There has been a couple glitches but nothing major. Only complaint is that while using the head phone jack while running, it may stop playing music because it gets disconnected.

The Google Pixel 8a was very affordably priced and was a great replacement for my Pixel 4a. It was slightly larger in size but still fits in my work shirt pocket and only shows a bit. I got a Poetic phone case with a similar mint green color. I chose the mint green color so I can quickly spot it if is showing, if something may be hiding it from my sight.

Not everything needs AI and I dislike the AI push and the hype for Gemini. But.... This is a good phone. Decent battery life, it goes well with my Pixel Buds and the camera is top notch.

I purchased the phone for it's compact size. I was okay with the trade-off of lower specs in terms of processor and camera quality but to my suprise I don't really sense any drop off on performance with respect to flagships. Would 10/10 recommend for those who like small compact phone. Only downside I can think of is lower charging speed.
