While they don't have as many features as the Pixel Buds 2, these are a HUGE bang for the buck. The sound quality is amazing and the battery life is perfect for working all day. They seem to stay in the ear really well fitting snug with the little nub thing on it.

I love these. They connected easily without me having to do anything. They sound great and coming from ysing beats earbuds with my Samsung device I'm definitely pleased with these. The battery life, charging time and sound are great no complaints.

The market for good earbuds is oversaturated. The Pixel buds are almost perfect but being so small some might have issues keeping them in securely, I haven't had this problem but they are small and lightweight.

Sounds great but my the main issue is they do not stay in my ears while I run. If i juat do standard exercise they are fine. I tried all the different ear pieces too and the left ear specifically starts ro fall out. Great for the price but not built for running.

Great sound and comfortable. I like the level of noise cancelation because I can still be aware of what is going on around me but drowns it out enough so it isnt distracting.

I’ve been using the Google Pixel Buds 2a for a few weeks now, and honestly, they’ve surprised me in the best way. I wasn’t expecting much since they’re technically the “affordable” version of the Pixel Buds Pro 2, but they’ve ended up being the pair I grab the most — whether I’m working out, walking, or just zoning out with music. Right out of the box, these feel super lightweight — each earbud is under 5 grams, which makes a huge difference if you wear them for hours. The fit is snug without being jammed in your ear, and I like that Google ditched the old “wing tip” design from the older Pixel Buds. The new stabilizer fin is more subtle but still keeps the buds locked in. I’ve worn them during walks, workouts, and long Zoom meetings, and they stay comfortable. No soreness, no constant readjusting. The Hazel color looks slick and understated — kind of that “Google minimalism” vibe. The sound quality is honestly better than I expected at this price. The bass is fuller than the old Pixel Buds A-Series, and vocals come through really clear. I wouldn’t call them “audiophile-grade,” but for Spotify, YouTube Music, and calls, they’re more than enough. At normal volumes, everything sounds balanced. If you crank them all the way up, the bass can get a little boomy and mids lose a bit of sharpness, but that’s pretty normal for earbuds under $150. Both the buds and the case have IP54 water resistance, so they’re fine for sweaty workouts or getting caught in the rain. Just don’t take them swimming or shower with them. Where these shine is the Google integration. Pairing is instant if you’re on a Pixel or Android phone, and you get access to features like “Find My Device,” in-ear detection, and Google Assistant hands-free. The Clear Calling feature also lives up to its name — people said my voice sounded crisp even when I was walking outside with some background noise. One downside: you still can’t control volume on the earbuds themselves. You have to do it from your phone or your watch, which feels like something Google should’ve fixed by now. Battery life is very respectable. I get around 7 hours with ANC on and close to 10 hours without it, which is more than enough for a day’s use. The case adds another 20-25 hours, and a quick 5-minute charge gives you about an hour of playback. The case doesn’t support wireless charging though — just USB-C. Not a dealbreaker for me, but if you’re used to dropping your buds on a MagSafe pad, you might miss it. A few small gripes: - No wireless charging for the case - No volume control on the earbuds - ANC is good, not great (can’t match the Pixel Buds Pro or Apple AirPods Pro or Sony WF-1000XM5) - Sound loses a little detail at very high volumes But honestly, for the price, those are minor complaints. If I had to sum them up in one line: the Pixel Buds 2a are the best “everyday” earbuds for most Android users right now. They deliver great comfort, surprisingly good sound, solid ANC, and smart Google integration — all for around $129. They don’t feel cheap, and they don’t try too hard to be premium. They just hit that perfect middle ground. If you’re in the Google ecosystem, these are a no-brainer. If you’re coming from the older Pixel Buds A-Series, this is a real upgrade worth the jump.

These were replacement earbuds for my Pixel Buds 2, and I decided to get the less expensive version. I am happy with them and have good sound and noise cancellation. Overall a good affordable purchase.

It offers great value with a vibrant display, strong battery life, and reliable everyday performance. The cameras are solid for the price, though low-light shots lag behind Pixel devices. Overall, a dependable budget phone for daily use.

I am all-in on the Google Pixel ecosystem so when it was time to upgrade from my original Pixel buds I looked to their latest iteration for a solution. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 drew my attention but then I noticed the Buds 2a. Google's "a" series devices offers a budget friendly alternative to the traditional Pro products so I took the plunge! The 2a buds have been a capable alternative to the premium offering. They are very compact and lightweight. The design fits entirely within my ears - no protruding stalks. The old "wings" have been replaced by a modified twist-to-fit design that I find to be effective and comfortable. Google provides 3 additional tips if the default ones don't work for you. The carrying/charging case is slightly smaller than the original offering and slips into my front pockets comfortably. The case has one totally unique feature in that it sports a replaceable battery! The smaller case means slightly less recharging capacity but it is till more than adequate for me. Charging time is quick and a few minutes top-off will give you about an hour of listening time. Be aware that the case does NOT support wireless charging - USB-C only. Unpacking was uneventful. The packaging materials are made from recycled materials. Provided documentation is laughably minimal but the app is comprehensive and easy to use. If you are pairing to a Pixel phone there is literally no setup to do! My phone detected the new buds as soon as I opened the case and I was up and listening within minutes. The app will push any firmware updates to the buds which subsequently update the case the first time you put the buds back into the case! Very smooth but it was a bit of a slow process the first time! The sound quality of the 2a's is quite good. I chose an equalizer preset from the options provided (you can create your own from the 5 band EQ) and have used them for podcasts, YT videos, music and a bit of calling. I found the volume and clarity to be just fine. The units now support ANC which was initially limited to the Pro versions. There is also a "transparency" mode which you can summon with a tap that disables ANC so you can have a conversation or just hear your environment better. Tapping the bud again will restore ANC. I found the noise cancelling to be very effective in a coffee shop, restaurant, or even out walking. It may not be a direct rival to it's considerably more expensive competition but is more than adequate. The tap control features are a bit spartan and not quite as sensitive as my earlier buds but they do work. Unfortunately, Google has elected to drop the swipe volume control feature! I miss that very much. I don't want to have to reach for my phone's controls for this and I didn't realize how often I use that function! Overall the Pixel Buds 2a is a very good entry into this product price category. Ruggedly built, comfortable, sporting good battery life and offering a comprehensive app and very good sound quality.
