Customers are positive about the Pixel Tablet's sound quality, battery life, ease of use, and the convenient charging dock. Many appreciate the tablet's screen size and design, although some find the price point high for the features offered. A common criticism centers around the 60Hz refresh rate, and some users express concerns about storage limitations and the responsiveness of the Google Assistant. Overall, the positive feedback on key features like audio and battery life outweighs the negative comments regarding price and refresh rate.

A very first generation product

This is a very first generation product. On one hand this tablet is quite speedy, with Geekbench scores of 1437 single core and 3706 multi core, faster than the Samsung Tab S9 FE in the same price bracket. It lacks a keyboard connector, a stylus, and expandable storage.
On the other hand this product screams that it's first generation. The charging speaker dock is just a paperweight without the tablet, even though it sounds decent with the tablet connected, but there's no way to manually cap the battery charge (like you can with Samsung), instead relying on "intelligent charge" to not wear the battery life out quickly by keeping it constantly 100% charged. Trying to remove the tablet moves the base as it is not weighted and the magnet is too strong. The Google Assistant is not as responsive as it is on my Android phone, and cannot do the same things it can on my phone. Asking it to play Thursday Night Football on Prime Video, for example, leaves it saying "Cannot find Thursday Night Football on Prime Video". Asking it to turn on the thermostat fan for 15 minutes (I have a Nest thermostat connected to my Google account) leads it to say it cannot do that. Asking it to open an app requires me to unlock the device, so you can't really use it as a smart display the way you can with, say, an Echo Show.
As a tablet, it's 4/5, as a smart display, 2/5, but for $350 there's no comparison.

Versatile tablet that doubles as a home display.

The Google Pixel Tablet is a unique Android tablet that aims to be more than just a portable screen. It comes with a charging speaker dock that transforms it into a smart home display, similar to a Nest Hub, when docked. This dual functionality is the key selling point of the Pixel Tablet.
Pros:
* Versatile: The included dock allows the Pixel Tablet to serve as both a tablet and a smart home display.
* Good performance: The Tensor G2 chip ensures smooth performance for most tasks and apps.
* Attractive design: The tablet has a modern, minimalist design that is comfortable to hold.
* Long battery life: The battery can easily last for a full day of moderate use.
* Great for entertainment: The 11-inch display and quad speakers provide an enjoyable experience for watching videos and playing games.
* Seamless Google integration: As a Google product, it seamlessly integrates with other Google services and devices.
Cons:
* Middling display: While the display is large and sharp, it lacks the brightness and color accuracy of some competitors.
* Slow charging: Charging the tablet can take a while, especially when using the dock.
* Limited accessory options: Compared to other tablets, there are fewer accessories available, such as keyboards and styluses.
* Dock audio quality: While the dock enhances the audio experience, it's not as impressive as dedicated smart speakers.
* Price: The Pixel Tablet is competitively priced, but the overall cost can increase if you purchase additional accessories.
Overall:
The Google Pixel Tablet is a solid choice for those seeking a versatile tablet that can also function as a smart home display. Its unique dock sets it apart from the competition, and its performance, battery life, and design are all commendable. However, the display and charging speed could be better, and the accessory options are limited. If you're deeply invested in the Google ecosystem and prioritize the dual functionality, the Pixel Tablet is worth considering.

Hi, Archangel. Thanks for your feedback. To improve the brightness on your Pixel tablet with a charging speaker dock, simply go to: 1. Device settings app. 2. Tap Display & touch. 3. Tap Brightness level. Move the brightness slider left or right to decrease or increase your screen brightness. To change screen brightness from anywhere, swipe down from the top of your tablet's screen (twice in portrait mode) and move the brightness slider left or right.
About the battery speed, ensure you're using the included power adapter, keep the tablet docked when not in use, adjust power settings to limit background app activity, lower screen brightness, and consider turning off features like location services when not needed.

Perfect tablet for us

The Pixel Tablet is great - especially for those in the Google Home/Pixel circles. The build quality is top notch, the screen is bright and vivid while not sacrificing quality in low-light situations and the battery life is exceptional with daily browsing and even streaming videos on Netflix, YouTube, Prime, etc. While it does have the previous generation processor versus the Pixel 8, user interactions are smooth with nary a hitch in fluidity.
The speaker/dock is genius. Not only do you get a great tablet for consuming media and other tablet tasks, you get a fully fledged, big-screen Google Home/Nest Hub. While it's not the fastest charger, it doesn't take long to get fully charged and the fact that it remains useful while on the dock just adds value to us. Just a note, it can be a little tricky to get the right spot to attach it at first but it becomes very simple after a few tries.
Overall, a great value for the money.

Google has taken everything they know (which is quite literally everything) and put it all into this blazing fast tablet powered by their own Android OS! All the features I loved about my Pixel phone are there, and then some. The resolution borders on hyper-realistic and the sound is impeccable, with or without the docking speaker. The whole system acts like the phones, but even smoother and faster! Definitely pick this one up, even without the dock, it’s well worth the money!

After a 5-year hiatus in the tablet market Google has made its glorious return with the pixel tablet. The pixel tablet is a great tablet especially if you're a homebody like myself. Don't get me wrong obviously it's a tablet you can take it wherever you want but having having a magnetically connected with speaker wireless charging dock really changes the game in the sense of having a tablet that almost will never be dead because you'll always have it charging especially if you like me and you're not constantly using it for hours upon hours and you only use it for like an hour or two at a time and then put it down to only pick it up the next day and do the same thing and then it be dead when you need it down the line the next day after that but that's the greatness with the pixel tablet. And it chugs along at breakneck speeds with its tensor G2 chip It gives you plenty of power and speediness to do whatever you would want to do when it comes to multitasking and running two apps at the same time and it has an intuitive dock system where you can just swipe up and you'll almost never have to open the app drawer because your apps will just be right there right from the doc system on the bottom of the screen. It really is such an intuitive add-on for a tablet Gone are the days of Oh no I didn't pick up my tablet for 24 to 72 hours every now and then now it's dead not with the dock. it's always ready to go and the fact that it's also speaker once you connect the dock to the tablet itself It really widens the audio quality to another level and it's great to sit and watch your content on it on a dock which doubles as the stand! And you can also cast to this tablet only when it is connected to the dock which I think is very intuitive because I can't tell you how many times I've put down my phone every now and then and just picked it up to watch a video on my tablet to only have the tablet be dead and have to charge it and go back to using my smaller screen on my phone So that eliminates that problem as well! Not to mention you can also cast from the tablet itself when it is docked to your television. Because it is also a smart assistant and I another Google home speaker as well when you need it to be! The only reason why this isn't a five-star tablet is in my opinion I wish the charging was a little bit faster but I'm spoiled by one plus charging. And I wish it was 120 Hz cuz I'm spoiled by that on the screen as well but Google's animations almost make up for that so those would be my only two negatives but that doesn't unfortunately bring it down to a four-star product and hopefully Google can address those two issues with their second iteration of the pixel tablet in the coming years.

This is my first Pixel Tablet. I purchased this with the Charging Speaker Dock to replace an aging Samsung Tablet. The Pixel Tablet has met and exceeded my expectations! Very nice tablet and makes a great smart display when docked. Also the speakers on the charging dock are very good. I am truly enjoying this purchase and suspect I will migrate my phone to Pixel as well.

Honestly never ever ever liked Apple products and never liked Samsung garbage either. I was debating between this and the one plus tablet. I already have a pixel phone however the two main differences is that the one plus is more for if you use it and type with it a lot and this one can act as a hub and a tablet. I know people knocked on it for not being able to use the speaker separately but its awesome. I had to order a case from Google directly since there isn't any available in store.

I recently purchased the Google Pixel Tablet with its accompanying Charging Dock, and it has been an absolute delight. The tablet itself boasts a sleek design, coupled with a high-resolution display that brings my content to life with stunning clarity and vibrant colors.
What sets this tablet apart is its seamless integration with Google's ecosystem. Whether it's for work or leisure, the Pixel Tablet's performance is flawless, handling multitasking with ease and offering an array of useful apps and features.
The Charging Dock is a brilliant addition. It's not just a charger; it transforms the tablet into a smart display. This feature is perfect for hands-free use, whether I'm following a recipe in the kitchen or catching up on news. It also keeps the device fully charged and ready to go.
Battery life is impressive, easily lasting through a day of intensive use. The user interface is intuitive, making navigation a breeze even for those who may not be tech-savvy.
In conclusion, the Google Pixel Tablet with Charging Dock is a top-notch device that offers versatility, superb performance, and a user-friendly experience. It's a fantastic choice for anyone looking for a reliable and high-performing tablet."

This is a excellent tablet. The speakers both docked and undocked are really good. The screen is excellent for being non OLED, and the experience on the tablet is really snappy and smooth and I really like the stock android experience here. My only fault with the pixel tablet is no 90Hz refresh rate. I own a tab s9+ and the pixel tablet really surprised me

Great tablet but the speaker dock sets is apart

The Google Pixel 11 inch tablet with charging speaker dock comes well packaged in a nice box. You receive the tablet, speaker dock, AC power cord for the dock and some documentation. The tablet was about half charged when I took it out of the box.
Connecting the tablet to the speaker dock is easy. It is strongly magnetized and connects once you get close to the right place. It is easy to see where the connections point it. Since this magnetic connection is so strong, it is a little trickier to separate the dock from the tablet. I found it best to hold the tablet on the side and press back on the top of the tablet.
Set up of the tablet was easy. I have a Google Pixel 7 so it prompted me to connect the phone to the tablet. I had to use my cord for my phone. It prompted me through the steps and copied all relevant apps and information from my phone. Super easy and this took close to 30 minutes total for all information to be transferred; and, update the apps.
The tablet itself is nice but nothing over the top. It has the same processor as their phones. The screen resolution is 2560 x 1600. It is not an OLED screen. There is 128GB of memory with no expansion option. The 256GB version is about $100 more. There is 8GB of RAM. The front and rear facing cameras are cameras are 1080p with 8 megapixels.
Our favorite use is to use the hub mode and present the designated photos as a slide show. Sometimes it chooses to show two pictures in split screen. Really impressive when sitting on the kitchen counter!
I used the tablet for a video call and it worked very well. The audio and video worked great!
The battery seems to be fine. I find we place the tablet on the speaker dock all the time so it remains charged. There is a battery optimization feature that will stop charging at 90% to increase batter longevity. We will see after a year of use how the battery is.
Summary:
Good:
- Google device with Google software. Three OS updates and 5 years of security updates are promised.
- Great resolution 2560x 1600. Everything looks really good on the screen.
- Connectivity to smart home features and Google Home; Chromecast and the like.
- I love the speaker dock!
- Split screen mode is nice.
- I love the slideshow screensaver using Hub mode.
- Multiuser support. We are using two of eight available profiles. The transition is simple.
Not so good:
- No 120 hz screen refresh rate.
- No angle adjustment. There is an accessory coming that will allow you to adjust the swivel of the speaker dock.
- Limited accessory availability. Expected as this is a new device. I did get a really nice case I really like and will do a review on this later.
- The hub mode screensaver slideshow only works under the primary user account on the tablet.
- No stylus.
Overall I rate this 4.5 starts. I will use the rating of 5 stars as there is no option for 4.5. I love the dock and the tablet is good. I wish there was a stylus. Or it would be nice to see a bundle with a case. Maybe this will come in the future. The tablet and dock work well. You will not be disappointed.

The Google Pixel tablet impresses with its Pixel phone lineage, featuring a crisp and responsive display. While sound is decent, it excels on the dock. The battery lasts 6-8 hours, but the convenient dock with magnetic attachment and USB charging compensates. The landscape-only stand is strong but limits portrait use. The clean, responsive Android system lacks bloatware, though app compatibility for tablets needs improvement. Split-screen mode enhances usability. The camera is adequate, and the fingerprint-reading power button is surprisingly efficient. Overall, a promising tablet with a few limitations.

Five years later, Google's back at it with the Pixel Tablet, a $500 Android tab that comes bundled with a magnetic charging dock to enable some smart display-like functionality. It's a really clever idea, and overall, I like the Pixel Tablet quite a bit. But it's also a classic first-generation gadget, with some annoying drawbacks and limitations that might make you want to wait for the sequel. I’m not sure if it’s worth $500 it will do some people already have a Google Home max. I think there are better tablets out there. I do wonder what happened to you Google assistant day it’s like it’s worse than Siri now.

Overall, it does what it says on the box. Good tablet, decent speaker.
Having a tablet always on standby in your living room is great. Especially if you have curious kids who ask a lot of questions and want to learn things on the spot. It's also great for things like recipes and watching videos standing up.
The docking action is a little bit clunky. You need to jiggle the tablet up and down a bit before it clicks. The hub mode setting isn't very intuitive. 128GB is just ok for a device designed to be a home hub.

I really enjoy using this tablet with a bluetooth keyboard. Swapped from an iPad to this tablet and I'm not regretting my choice! Although some apps still aren't compatible with the tablet, it's a solid tablet. Mostly used for emails, online shopping, and my main Google home hub. The battery life is also fantastic, even while watching movies and shows for a few hours a day! The docking is easy and the speakers are also terrific. 9/10!

This is probably the best tablet I've ever had. I've gone through my hair share of tablets and most of the time the lag and no cross compatibility with apps always was lacking. Basically it works like a huge phone with great processing speed. It's amazing connecting it to my phone it's basically everything I want it to be and more. I was very excited for this tablet when I first heard it was being released. I just recently made the switch from Samsung Galaxy phones to a Pixel 7 Pro and I love the vanilla Android experience. So when this tablet was announced, I wanted to replace my Galaxy tab as well.
I am loving this tablet so far! I haven't used the hub mode just yet but will be setting that up soon. This does everything that my previous tablet did but,in my opinion, the UI is so much cleaner and smoother. The back of the tablet has a very nice feel to it. It doesn't have the metal feel of the Galaxy Tab S8 but it's textured and I love the hazel color (matches my Pixel 7 Pro). Battery has been great so far as well. I can keep it going all day without running out and I make sure I charge it at night.
I do wish there was a Google stylus option like Samsung does with some of their tablets. I picked up the 128 GB storage option on this tablet since I use Google One storage. I don't do a lot of tablet gaming but it does play the couple of games I have seamlessly and it syncs up with my phone messages via the Messages app by Google. Helpful so I can answer from my tablet if I choose.
