Battery life is great. Charged it to 100% Monday Oct 13 at 8pm and its currently 48% Wednesday Oct 15 11am. Always-on screen is On and All Gestures On
Charging is quick going from 60% to 100% in 30mins.
Gemini repones are quicker on this than previous.

I just picked up the Pixel Watch 4 from Best Buy, and honestly, the hype is real. This feels like the model where Google finally nailed the fundamentals.
The Good:
Battery Life is a Game-Changer: This is the biggest win. I'm easily getting over two full days, which means I can actually track my sleep without the low-battery anxiety. And the fast charging is insane... a quick boost while I'm getting ready gets me back to 100%.
Design & Display: The new domed, curved display is stunning. It feels high-end and is so bright (up to 3,000 nits!) that I have zero issues seeing it, even outdoors during events. The comfort is also fantastic; I barely notice it's on my wrist.
Gemini Integration: Having Gemini AI right on my wrist for quick info or setting timers hands-free is super snappy and incredibly useful for managing my busy schedule.
The Not-So-Bad:
My only minor gripe is the proprietary charging cable (wish it was detachable USB-C!) and I’m a little worried about the long-term durability of that beautiful curved glass, so a screen protector might be a wise investment.
Overall:
If you're in the Android ecosystem, the Pixel Watch 4 is the best smartwatch available right now. It looks slick, performs fast, and the battery life finally makes it a reliable 24/7 companion.

I’ve been using the Google Pixel Watch 4 or about a week now, and honestly, it’s been a great experience overall. Like previous Pixel Watches I’ve owned it’s always nice to remember how comfortable they are — I’ve worn it through workdays, workouts, and even to bed one night, and it never felt bulky or irritating.
This has quickly become my everyday watch, mostly because it just fits into my routine so well. My Pixel 10 Pro is my work phone, so I’m constantly getting Teams messages and calendar reminders. It’s nothing wildly different from other smartwatches I’ve used before, but where this one shines is in how easy it is to respond. The AI-powered quick replies feel natural and surprisingly smart — it saves me from having to pull out my phone in meetings or while walking between appointments.
Responsiveness is another strong point. I haven’t noticed any lag at all. Swiping through the interface is smooth, and starting workouts is instant. I’ve mainly used it for elliptical and treadmill sessions, and I even tried tracking a basketball game at the gym the other day. There are tons of workout options to choose from, and the interface stays simple, which is especially helpful mid-workout when you don’t want to fumble through menus - a quick swipe left on the screen and I was into my workouts.
The display looks fantastic — bright, crisp, and easy to read even outdoors. I really like the clean, circular design and simple crown. Compared to something like an Apple Watch, this one feels more like a “real” watch, especially when I use a more classic-looking watch face. I’ve already worn it out a couple times with dressier outfits and it fits right in. I do wish Google offered more band options — and switching the band isn’t super intuitive either. I think that’s just part of the trade-off with the round body and curved sides.
Battery life has been amazing. I’ve easily gotten a full day and then some, and it charges quick enough that a short charge while I’m getting ready in the morning tops it off. For something this slim and lightweight, the battery performance really impressed me.
I only tried sleep tracking once so far, but I was surprised to wake up with a sleep score already waiting for me. I didn’t have to start anything manually — it just tracked everything automatically. That’s a big plus for me. I plan to start wearing it nightly to get a better read on my sleep patterns, especially since I’ve been waking up feeling tired more often than not. Hopefully this gives me a clearer picture over time.
As for voice and AI features, the “lift to ask Google” function has worked pretty well, though not perfectly. There was one moment where I asked for a sports score and got the right number but was told my team lost — even though they won. A little frustrating, but when I asked “Are you sure?” it corrected itself. Might be more of an AI thing than the watch itself, but worth mentioning.
Overall, the Pixel Watch 4 is a classy looking and highly functional smartwatch that fits right into my day. It hasn’t blown me away with anything flashy — it just does what I need it to do, and does it well while looking pretty great.

I’ve been using the Pixel Watch 4 (45mm) for over a week now, and honestly I'm blown away. I’ve owned a few smartwatches before, even an earlier Pixel Watch, but this one finally feels like Google got the formula right.
-Design & Comfort-
I opted for the larger 45mm size, which is perfect for me. Big enough to easily see notifications and workout stats, but it doesn’t look too bulky. This thing is super clean and modern looking. The domed glass gives it a nice premium presence and it's just something you have to see in person to really appreciate. The new bands click in easily, and the watch feels light enough to wear all day, even when I sleep.
The rotating crown is great too, with almost no effort you can slide or swipe and get exactly what you need, thanks to the new hardware.
-Performance & Features-
Performance-wise, this thing flies. It’s smooth, quick and I’ve had no lag so far. Gemini answers instantly, apps open up fast, and everything just works the way you’d expect. The new Wear OS feels extremely responsive and swiping between tiles and notifications just flows so nicely paired with the gorgeous OLED screen.
Notifications are easy to manage, and I like that I can reply to texts or emails straight from the watch. The integration with Google services is fantastic.
-Health & Fitness-
I’m not a hardcore athlete, but I do track my activity throughout the day. The Fitbit integration works very well. Heart rate and sleep tracking seem more accurate than before. I’ve also noticed better automatic workout detection, which is great when I forget to start a session manually.
-Battery Life & Charging-
Battery life has definitely improved. I’m comfortably getting about two and a half days on a full charge. I do have always on display off however, because I'd rather have more battery longevity. I have to say that the new charging stand is one of my favorite additions. The Pixel Watch sits propped up so it doubles as a tiny bedside clock. It also charges much faster than older Pixel Watches. In about an hour it's fully charged and ready for the day.
-Ecosystem & Everyday Use-
If you already have a pixel phone or an android phone, this watch fits in nicely. Notifications sync seamlessly, Assistant reminders show up on your wrist, and tapping to pay with Google Wallet is super convenient. For me, I've been very pleased thus far.
-Conclusion-
It finally feels like Google nailed it. The Pixel Watch 4 is fast, elegant, reliable, and finally has the battery life to back up its premium price. Whether you're more of an average/business user like myself or hardcore on fitness, this smartwatch has you covered. Highly recommend.

While I really enjoyed my first gen Pixel watch, the Pixel Watch 4 45mm Moonstone is quite the upgrade. I've been pleasantly surprised how much better all around the Pixel Watch 4 is in comparison.
Right out the gate, the Pixel Watch 4 charges incredibly fast compared to my original version. On top of that, the battery life is impressive. I can get almost two whole days before I absolutely have to charge it. I usually wear it 24 hours, especially because I like how it tracks my sleep, but around 6pm everyday I'll set it on the charger, and it's usually at 50% charge or higher depending how much I was using throughout the day. You do need to place it on it's side to charge, which is different than my original Pixel watch, but it doesn't bother me.
The Inclusion of Fitbit is my favorite feature. I use it to track my footsteps, sleep, and heart rate. I work in a manufacturing plant, and generally get a good amount of footsteps, but some days I fall short of my goal of 10,000. If this happens, I will go for a walk when I get home. It even measures your oxygen levels while your sleeping. I'm assuming this would work great for people with sleep apnea.
Performance on the Pixel Watch 4 is fantastic. It's very responsive. Apps load quickly. In comparison to my original Pixel watch, it's leaps and bounds faster in every aspect.
The Pixel Watch 4 has a good selection of watch faces, and they all can be customized to an extent to suit your liking. There are also a bunch of aftermarket watch faces available through the app store if Googles selection isn't working for you.
If you're looking for a smart watch with great performance, great battery life, and quick charging, the Pixel Watch 4 is for you.

Im very impressed with the Pixel 4 watch, set up was fast, tons of options to track everything from steps, temp, heart, calendar etc. I setup the free Fitbit app on it to track the aforementioned. It’s great to be able to see GPS routes and stats of my walks or bike rides. The fit and finish are awesome, very stylish, the band I was worried about, I hadn’t had one like it before and thought my arm would sweat around it. It didn’t, it was very comfortable, and most of the time I didn’t know it was even there. There are many watch faces to choose from the app, many more can be purchased. I love being able to see notifications on my watch including phone calls without having to pull my phone out to check who or what it is. The ability to answer phone calls on the watch makes life a lot easier. Especially when I am busy and working on something. Not having to hold a phone and make me stop what I’m doing is nice. The volume and clarity of the watch phone option is very good.
Battery life is awesome, I have a lot going on with options turned on and a full day will only use about 20% life and it only takes 20 minutes to get back to 100% when I charge it. This is great for those weekend trips, not having to pack one extra charger for it like my other smart watches when I use them.
One of the biggest things I really like is the integrated Gemini I love being able to have AI at a touch. I work at a pool store and it’s nice to be able to ask it questions I may not have the answer for and get an immediate response. Mostly correct.
I highly recommend the Google pixel watch as your go to smart watch!!

I had the Galaxy Watch 8 and got the pixel 10 pro fold so I decided to try out the Pixel Watch 4. I'm glad I did as I prefer over the Samsung.

The No-Brainer Watch for Pixel

It took a little while, but Wear OS has come a long way since the days when it was called Android Wear and the experience now is mostly on par with what Apple offers. There aren’t so many choices for Android smart watches as there used to be, but I feel comfortable calling the Pixel Watch 4 the best ‘default’ option, especially if you’re using a Pixel phone. The display is excellent, the battery lasts for days, and the interface is snappy and easy to use.
The Pixel Watch 4 that I have is the 45mm in the Moonstone color. The case generally looks like a matte grey most of the time, but does give off a blue-ish tint in certain lights. Compared to the other 2 color options, which have black and silver cases, this one is probably more likely to clash with certain bands due to its more unique cover. Still, it looks good and the included band looks and feels good as well. It’s a good match for my Pixel 10 Pro XL of the same color. The bands are also easy to remove and exchange using the release buttons and sliding them in and out, though this does require bands that are specifically compatible with the Pixel Watch 3 or 4 for the 45mm size.
The OLED display looks downright massive compared to my Pixel Watch 2 and goes nearly to the edge of the case. It can also get very bright and is not a problem at all to see even in direct sunlight. On the right side is a rotating crown and single button for navigating the interface and doing quick actions. The left side of the case has the charging pins, which is a new placement for this year. The watch now sits on its side with the included charger and it’s much easier to place and remove than the old setup with the pins on the bottom of the case.
Being that the front of the watch is almost all glass with no raised bezels, build quality and durability is definitely a concern, but in the week or so I’ve used it I haven’t applied any screen protectors and it has held up well. Granted, I do take the watch off if I am going to do anything particularly gritty or dirty or if I’m reaching into a tight space. My Pixel Watch 2 that I’ve had for the the past 2 years and have gotten gradually less careful with has only developed very minor scratches and they don’t show through when the display is active, so if anything to go by I think the Watch 4 display is going to hold up just as well, if not better. It’s also water resistant up to 50-meters and can be worn in the pool, ocean, or shower.
The setup experience using the Pixel Watch app was pretty seamless for me, though I think this was helped by the fact that I have a Pixel phone and have also previously used a Pixel watch. I think the experience will be similar for most though and it is primarily signing into your Google and/or Fitbit accounts and transferring data from your phone. I was able to transfer all of my Google Pay cards from my phone to my watch and I only had to reenter the security codes. I’d say it was about a 20-minute process all-in.
Wear OS has been pretty good for a while now, but the recent Material Expressive update gave it nice facelift. All the included watch faces look great and have tons of customization in terms of the colors, layout, and widgets. If there’s a watchface you like but something is not quite right about it for you, chances are it can be customized to fit. Pressing the crown brings up all the apps in either a list view with names or a grid view with just icons. Double clicking the crown will bring up payment cards. The button above the crown will bring up recent apps with a single click, your last used app with a double click, and Gemini by holding it down. Most of the popular apps are available for Wear OS - for my needs I’m generally just using the built-in ones. I do wish there was an Apple Music app for Wear OS, but I understand why there isn’t for obvious reasons. The processor in the Watch 4 is the latest Snapdrago W5 chip and I saw no signs of slowness at all in terms of navigation or opening apps.
I had a Fitbit Premium already from my previous Pixel Watch, but the Watch 4 does include a free 6-month Fitbit Premium subscription. Fitbit is the primary app on the watch for tracking steps, logging workouts, sleep tracking, and everything else health-related. The Premium tier does include some nice extras like a sleep profile, video workouts, so mindfulness things, and others, but even on the free tier you still get most of the important features, which is nice. I don’t think anyone who isn’t regularly active needs to worry about holding onto the Premium subscription, but it’s nice to have. It does a good job of tracking my steps and automatically logs the walks that I take on my lunch at work. There’s even an AI element that’s supposed to offer insights into your activities and how you can improve, but I didn’t get too deep on that.
The battery life on the Pixel Watch 4 is fantastic. With the always-on display, I finish most days starting from a full charge with 70% battery left. I think I could easily get 2 days out of it without having to charge at all. And if you are wearing it all the time it doesn’t take very long to charge back up if you were throwing it on the charger when you’re in the shower or bathroom.
So overall I’ve got absolutely no complaints about the Pixel Watch 4. It’s a great general option for an Android smartwatch. I’d really only consider something else if you needed something a little bit more heavy duty.

I have been wearing the original Pixel Watch for the past 3 years. Over that time Google has continuously improved the watch with firmware updates. But it was time for an upgrade as I wanted the 45mm watch, but what I got was much more than just a larger watch face.
In the box you get the watch, 2 watchbands (large and small) and a charging cable/stand.
Attaching the watchband is easy and very secure. The included watch bands are very comfortable, durable and attractive.
My watch came with an 85% charge. Connecting to my Pixel phone, the Watch app and the Fitbit app was all seamless and quick. Just remember to disconnect your old watch before connecting the new watch. All information from the old watch will be transferred to the new watch.
My immediate reaction was WOW! This watch is beautiful. It is so comfortable to wear.
The domed watch face is bright, clear and almost bezelless. You can customize your watch with your choice of watchface and theme based colors and design. The glass is Gorilla Glass and the base is aerospace aluminum. It's water, dust and scratch resistant.. And, for the first time, the watch is repairable.
Battery life is amazing. I easily get 2 days of use. And charging is very fast. I charged from 18% to 100% in 40 minutes. Google says you can charge from 0% to 50% in 15 minutes. The new charger also acts as a charging stand. You lay the watch on its side and the watch will tell you the time, the remaining charge and the time to a full charge.
The Fitbit health metrics include cardio load, sleep analyzing and 40 exercise modes. I like the auto detect feature where the watch will automatically detect when you are doing a specific activity and ask if you want to track it. If you answer yes, it will record the activity from the time you started. this comes in handy when you forget to start the watch.
There is also Dual Frequency GPS which increases accuracy.
Another feature I love is Gemini and Raise To Talk. You can set the watch to automatically start Gemini simply by raising your hand and start a conversation without ever touching a button. To me Gemini is a big improvement over the Google Assistant.
There are numerous safety features including loss of pulse detection, auto crash detection and fall detection. All of these will automatically call 911 or a specified contact if you don't respond.
The watch is also designed to work with other Google devices. You can take pictures on your phone using the watch. Youn even zoom in and out and use both the front and rear cameras. And of course I use Google Wallet and Maps on the watch too.
Overall, this may be my favorite tech device that I have ever owned.
Can a watch make you happy? This one did! It is the one device that I use continuously for so many purposes. I would definitely recommend this watch to everyone.

I've been using the Google Pixel Watch 4 (45mm) for a few weeks now, and I have to say, I'm absolutely loving it. It’s a definite five-star product and a huge step up from my previous smartwatch.
Design and Comfort
First off, the design is sleek and modern. The 45mm size is perfect for my wrist—it’s substantial enough to feel like a proper watch without being bulky or getting in the way. The display is bright, vibrant, and incredibly easy to read, even in direct sunlight. What really surprised me is how comfortable it is. I wear it all day and night for sleep tracking, and I barely notice it's there, thanks to the lightweight design and comfortable band.
Performance and Software
The performance is snappy and responsive. Navigating through apps and notifications is incredibly smooth, with no noticeable lag. Wear OS on this watch is a joy to use. It feels intuitive, and the integration with my Android phone (a Pixel, naturally) is seamless. I get all my important notifications right on my wrist, and I can quickly triage them, which has made me check my phone less often.
Fitness and Health Tracking
This is where the Pixel Watch 4 truly shines for me. The health tracking features are top-notch. The heart rate monitoring seems accurate, and the new sleep tracking is detailed and helpful for understanding my rest. I especially appreciate the Fitbit integration—the exercise tracking is comprehensive, and the GPS locks on fast for my runs and bike rides. The improved battery life has also been a game-changer; I can easily get through a full day, including a workout and sleep tracking, with plenty of charge to spare.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, high-performing smartwatch that offers excellent health tracking and integrates perfectly with your Android ecosystem, the Google Pixel Watch 4 (45mm) is the one to get. I highly recommend it!

Coming from the Pixel Watch 3, this is a much needed, much appreciated improvement. Battery life is fantastic for a Pixel Watch. I was able to get 3 days of use on a charge, two of those days being with moderate-to-heavy use, working out in a sauna, tracking my workout routine. All 3 days I kept the watch on for tracking my sleep as well. I am not sure how the battery is this much better for me compared to my experience last year, it could be the updated processer, software updates, the better GPS radios possibly, whatever it is, I am just happy to finally have a Pixel Watch that I don't have to charge every single day.
---------------------------
Speaking of charging. It charges significantly faster as well. I also must say how much I LOVE the new charging base. While I am a little annoyed we have another change in charging cable, I have no issues this time around due to how neat the new charging base is and how you can set your watch up as a tiny little desk clock if you want while its charging.
---------------------------
The new actua 360 display and edge design is very clean looking too. Really love the refinements this year with the screen, design and better brightness (3000 nits compared to last years 2000 nit.) Everything is just smoother, faster, more fluid. From hardware to software, it is a clean experience through and through.
---------------------------
As with all of Google's latest products and push, AI is the big feature add here and driving force with the updates. Raise to talk to utilize Gemini is introduced and works really well to utilize as your own personal assistant conveniently right on your wrist. No more hot word detection needed. You also get a person AI Fitness Coach too, another add layer to the AI power behind Gemini/Google.
---------------------------
There isn't too much more to say other than this is a much needed improvement from he previous year pixel watches and I am extremely satisfied/impressed with this years offering. Google really hit it out of the park with the 4th iteration and shows they're quickly heading in the right direction with this lineup. The growth of the Pixel Watch and improvement year of year have been great, but this one takes the cake and is worth upgrading to regardless if you have the original model, 2 or 3. This is the one you've been looking for and waiting for!

What I love
The 45 mm diameter is the right amount of weight without being overweight and the Satin Moonstone finish along with the Moonstone band gives it a classy and non conspicuous appearance. It makes me feel secure when I put it on to a meeting as it does when I am simply out with the friends on a weekend. The display design is round and it actually lifts the aesthetic, according to me the curved glass and broader screen are contributing to the sense of luxury. The slight contour also translates to the screen looking nicer when one looks at angles.
The screen is bright and displays well even in the light (this is a massive advantage in broad daylight) the watch can now support a max of 3,000 nits of peak brightness and has an increased screen area with thinner bezel. The interface is fast, apps open fast, and overall navigation is responsive. The polish improvement is significant, assuming that you are getting a new generation watch with the earlier generation or an inferior one.
This is among the greatest enhancements. On my 45 mm one which I use it really gets to a day and one half (30-40 hours) depending on how much the you use it.Better still, the charging is amazingly quick, as an example test, up to 37 percent to 62 percent in six minutes and Google says that you can go to 50 percent in under 15 minutes. This implies that I tend to simply place it on the charger during my shower and trust that I would be in a position to complete the rest of the day without having to charge.
One more advantage that one is not to overlook this watch can be repaired. Contrary to most closed case smartwatches, the Pixel Watch 4 features a screwin design, modular components, and replacing the battery or display becomes more feasible. That would be a win in case you would use the device over a long term rather than upgrading it annually.
Fitness (when in Android/Google world).
This watch fits into the Google services, Fitbit fitness ecosystem, or a Pixel phone quite seamlessly in case you are already using either of them. Notifications, applications, health/fitness tracking are compatible and feel like it is a part of each other. The design options imply that it is targeting a person who is within the Android/Google ecosystem.
Things to be aware of
Still not available to use more than one day on a battery.
The battery is much better, but it is not where many of us would like it to be in terms of the battery that is, once every 3 to 4days. When heavily utilized (GPS + workout + always-on display) you would still have to charge on a daily basis.
The battery is just average when running an hour trail run I lost 25 percent of the battery.
Therefore, in case you are an individual in need of a strong multi-day battery to go camping/off-grid, you can still do with restraint.
It is a solid watch as far as day to day health & fitness applications are concerned. However, when it comes to a serious athlete, trail consumer, or outdoor adventure user, there are still features that are not so much stronger than specific fitness watches. e.g. live mapping, exercise screens, GPS/route functions. although swimming tracking has been improved, it is yet to be perfect.
It may not be a complete replacement of a high-end sport watch so that is why in case of your primary application is high-level training or sophisticated performance metrics.
The accompanying Moonstone band is classy and fits perfectly in everyday casual formal wear. Nonetheless, in cases of heavy workouts, sweating, running, you may experience considerable discomfort with the sealed silicone bands sticking to the skin in wet conditions. What is more to this, due to the design (domed glass + build), the thickness still cannot be missed in the wrist, at least by me, as I occasionally touch it when pressing my wrist onto a surface.
Although the software experience is quite excellent, there are minor annoyances like unintended presses of the crown, or even the lack of reliability of the raise to talk gesture. The ecosystem itself is robust, however, it is not perfect, particularly when the previous platform that you were using was highly developed in terms of fitness monitoring or when you had higher expectations of being on the same level of performance as some expensive watches.
In my opinion yes the Pixel Watch 4 is among the highest quality all purpose Android smart watches available in 2025. At a high-quality design, fluid performance and much superior battery as well as intelligent charging and fixability places it on a list of attractive choices.
Nonetheless, it is not flawless in case, your priorities are set to a multi-day battery minus the need to charge the device, the advanced fitness/path-tracking, or you are coming out of an elite sport watch and you expect everything to be similar, you might encounter some compromises.
To the majority of the audience, particularly Android users looking to have a versatile smartwatch in their daily life, physical activity and health tracking, and also fashion, it strikes the right chord. I would recommend it and would not hesitate.

I’ve been using the Pixel Watch 4 for a couple of weeks now, and I’m really happy with it. The design feels premium and comfortable on the wrist — definitely one of the nicest-feeling smartwatches I’ve owned. Performance is smooth, everything runs fast, and the battery life is surprisingly good, easily lasting me through a full day and more. Overall, it’s a great experience — clean, elegant, and just works well with my Pixel phone.

I really like the Pixel watch for I've had the two the three now before and this one is a big improvement in every way except for battery life. Still lucky to get almost 2 days with average use on one charge the battery life stairs out there.
The display seems more brighter and vivid to me over the last generation pixel 3, My biggest gripe with a pixel watches is the round glass face I know that's their distinct feature but to me it just screams it will break very easily without any kind of screen protector installed on it. Not a fan of the Apple style wristbands that the pixel watches use.
However this does pair easily with my Samsung Galaxy s25 ultra as well as the Fitbit health for sleep step tracking and all activities included. I don't like that Google still offers the weird charging pads and again this year they've changed the way it charges on its side versus flat. I really wish they would go to a true wireless style dock charging system for their watches.
As much as I really try to love the Google pixel watch overall, Google just does so many backwards things with it to make it not my favorite. I still lean hard towards the Samsung smart watch line up.
The biggest improvement to me would be to change it to a more watch style look rather than copy Apple's rounded edges and give the watch a increased battery life over the dreaded day and a half before needing to be recharged.

My initial impression upon unboxing the Google Pixel for watch was that I thought it's sleek, understated style was pleasant. the way the band attached to the watch was a bit different and took me a few minutes to figure out, but one I understood how it worked, I thought it was a nice design. Putting it on my wrist I found it was quite comfortable to wear.
There’s a small, elongated button above the crown on the side of the smartwatch that's hardly noticeable and easily forgotten. A single press displays recent apps, a double tap displays Google Wallet, and a long press launches Google AI assistant, Gemini. It seems the button is dedicated that as I couldn't find any information on reprogramming it.
Google’s Wear OS 6 is installed, and I have to say I'm impressed. Everything flows well, from the way icons and buttons form around the circular screen, to the large, easy-to-view and interact-with tiles; it genuinely feels like it has been designed for use on your wrist.
Some app icons, such as Maps have multiple elements, but none of the smaller parts look out of place or difficult to tap. The icons make it mostly clear what each one does, so you’re never struggling to work out what to do next.
Because Wear OS 6’s colors are customizable, and the palette has been expanded, you can change the look to help you see the information more clearly, or help it match your phone or outfit. The software makes the Pixel Watch 4 more fun, more vibrant, and more enjoyable than the hardware design ever could.
The screen is very responsive to your touch for the most part, but waking up in the morning seems to require minute to get itself going.
I’ve been wearing the 45mm Pixel Watch 4 which has a 455mAh battery inside, much larger than the 41mm’s 325mAh cell. This is important, because I’ve had great battery life from the 45mm. On a single charge with general use, the Pixel Watch 4’s battery lasts for just about five days, which is very impressive. My Galaxy Watch lasted half that.
The Pixel Watch 4 recharges using a special magnetized charger that holds the smartwatch vertically on its side, so the screen shows a little bedside clock-style view. It’s a decent solution, and much better than the setup on my Galaxy Watch. It takes a little over an hour to fully charge the battery from flat, and a 15-minute quick charge system is very useful as it adds around 50% in one short burst, which is more than enough for a a day or two.
The Pixel Watch requires both Google’s Wear OS app and the Fitbit app to function properly. There are multiple fitness and health Tiles available on the watch, showing instant data on your heart rate, sleep, and steps, plus there’s quick access to workouts on the watch too. After logging in, it accessed data from a couple of years agon when I last had a Fitbit device. It offers statistics on workouts and the like as most smart watches, There's a trial for Fitbit Premium, which gives you a change to try out more than just your sleep or stress management scores. If you find it useful and want to keep it, it's $9 per month.
Something that surprised me was that Google has made the Pixel Watch 4 repairable, which is really unusual give most things today are designed as throw away devices. Google even supplies its own service manual. I don't know how many people who buy it will attempt to service it themselves rather than entrusting it to an expert, but kudos to Google for giving us an option.
It's easy to recommend Google Pixel Watch 4. Wear OS 6 is excellent and it makes the Pixel Watch 4 really enjoyable to use. Fitbit is great if you’re a motivated fitness fan, but less so if you’re looking for more lifestyle-focused tracking. However, the app is easy to understand, and starting exercise or tracking stats on the watch is simple. The choice of case sizes, repairability, excellent software, and long battery life make the Pixel Watch 4 the best Pixel Watch I’ve used. Provided you’re a fan of the design, you’ll be really pleased with your purchase.
Unboxing the Pixel Watch 4, I was immediately struck by its sleek, understated design. The band attachment mechanism was unconventional but intuitive once figured out, and the watch felt comfortable on the wrist.
A small, barely noticeable button above the crown handles shortcuts: one press for recent apps, double tap for Google Wallet, and a long press for Gemini (Google’s AI assistant). It appears fixed, with no option to reprogram.
Wear OS 6 is a standout. The interface is fluid and clearly optimized for a circular screen, with large, easy-to-use tiles and intuitive icons—even multi-element ones like Maps are easy to tap. Customizable color palettes add personality and improve readability, making the software feel more vibrant than the hardware alone.
Touch responsiveness is excellent, though the screen can be sluggish to wake in the morning.
The Pixel Watch 4 is available in a 45mm and 41mm model I tested the 45mm model with a 455mAh battery, which is more robust than the 41mm’s 325mAh cell. Battery life is stellar—around five days on a single charge, double what I got from my Galaxy Watch. Charging is fast and clever: the magnetized dock props the watch up like a bedside clock, and a 15-minute quick charge delivers ~50%, enough for a day or two.
The watch requires both the Wear OS and Fitbit apps. Fitness tracking is robust, with tiles for heart rate, sleep, steps, and workouts. It even pulled in data from my old Fitbit account. Fitbit Premium offers deeper insights for $9/month, but the free features are solid for most users.
Surprisingly, the Pixel Watch 4 is repairable—Google provides a service manual, a rare move in today’s throwaway tech culture. Whether users will DIY repairs is debatable, but Google giving us the option is commendable.
Overall, the Pixel Watch 4 is easy to recommend. Wear OS 6 is polished, Fitbit integration is strong for fitness enthusiasts, and the long battery life, repairability, and thoughtful design make it the best Pixel Watch yet. If you like the look, you should love the experience.

Google’s Pixel Watch 4 grows on you. I currently own about three other smartwatches in rotation but the design of the Pixel Watch 4, not to mention the features, makes it hard to return to the others. Although the first Pixel watch only arrived about 3 years ago, the Pixel Watch 4 feels as though the line has been with us for much longer.
As packaged:
• Google’s Pixel Watch 4
• Atch bands (sizes small and large)
• Charge dock
• Quick start guide
I am very much intrigued by the rather very simplified design of the Google Pixel Watch 4. It could pass off as a traditional watch from afar. The slim profile allows me to dress up with it which has not been possible with the rugged variations of my other smartwatches. The domed display, Actua 360 display per Google, is both beautiful and durable thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass. I initially had reservations about it but in reality, it truly makes the Pixel Watch 4 stand out. The haptic crown is another feature I am drawn to. It not only adds to the aesthetics but is actually functional for navigation, employing the traditional operation of crowns minus popping out. It also powers on the device, when needed. I have found it very gratifying to use. Located next to the crown is the side button. This button provides access to recently used apps and summons Gemini with a long press. The opening next to the crown is the microphone and next to that is the band release button for attaching and detaching the strap; there is a button for each strap. It is different from what I have used in the past but simple to use. On the other side of the device is the opening for the speaker and magnetic pin contacts for docking the device on the charging stand. It appears the Google pixel Watch 4 does not currently employ wireless charging per the stated specifications. While this may initially sound like a ding, the charging system is fast and can provide about 15hours of use within 15 minutes of charging per Google. Underneath the Pixel Watch 4 are sensors for heartrate, sleep tracking, skin conductance, oxygen saturation, skin temperature and others with ECG compatibility for the Fitbit app where available. An IP68 protection rating means the Google Pixel Watch 4 is protected from dust and water resistant at a depth of 1.5 metres for 30 minutes. In summary, the device is fairly sealed off to the elements.
My Pixel Watch 4 is the Bluetooth variation with a 45mm display. The battery is rated at 455mAh. I have been able to achieve about 2.5 days on a single charge without always-on display enabled. I would describe usage as typical with notifications, few calls and wearing the device to sleep during that period. Helping achieve this is are the efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 and Cortex-M55 co-processor (for the AI features) processors. 2GB of RAM is included along with 32GB storage. NFC, Bluetooth 6.0 and Wi-Fi standards (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) operating on both 2.4 and 5GHz frequencies are available for wireless connectivity. For accurate GPS locations, the device employs a dual frequency system with support for GPS, Galileo and Glonass navigation systems.
Wear OS is Google’s own Android operating system for smartwatches. It used to be called Android Wear in the past. While it is available to other manufacturers, Google’s own devices, in my opinion, typically have more features and appear to better effectively use the OS. Wear OS extends the Android OS on your smartphone to your smartwatch. Google Maps, Home, Mail, Messages and Wallet are examples of available apps on Wear OS with support for more. The included six-month trial of Fitbit Premium delivers additional features compared to the stock Fitbit app. Daily readiness score (an assessment of previous day’s activity and sleep to provide outlook for next day’s workout), more workout videos and sessions (including Peloton instructors), deeper health metrics, meditation/mindfulness videos and recipes are some offerings from Fitbit Premium included with the purchase. Steps, sleep and heartrate measurements all appear in line with my other smartwatches and health devices. Gemini is literally at arm’s length with the Pixel Watch 4. It can be summoned by a long press of the side button or by enabling the raise to talk feature whereby all it takes is the raising of your wrist to bring your watch close to your mouth. While it works, I choose to disable to prevent accidental summons and also hopefully extend my battery life. The included safety suite of features has left the most impression on me by far. From loss of pulse detection, car crash detection, safety check and fall detection, I cannot help by feeling that much safer I may not be alone even when I physically am.
Setup was intuitive. My smartphone, Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold, detected the Pixel Watch 4 when powered on next to it and requested a download of the Pixel Watch app to begin. The proceeding prompts were just as simple. There are options for the screen orientation based on preference of wrist. Tiles can also be configured for quicker access to commonly used ones. The Wear OS app also provides another avenue for the tile setup. Options vary from new emails, contact, home favorites, ECG quick launch and steps to name a few. A quick swipe across from the home screen (left to right or vice versa) provides access to the tiles. A swipe from bottom to up displays notifications while a top to bottom swipe brings up the quick settings including Google Wallet.
I have not set down my Pixel Watch 4 since I received it. While I could never wear my other smartwatches to bed, the Pixel Watch 4 feels barely there. Beside the bulk, the sensors from my other smartwatches would become distracting when sleeping. The myriad of safety features along with the slim profile and premium feel all lead me to believe I may not be going back anytime soon. With Gemini only set to evolve more, the future is bright for all of us with Google at the wheel. I recommend.

First let me start by saying that I am not a fitness expert, nor do I profess to becoming one. I am however at an age near retirement, and I have started to embrace a healthier lifestyle over the last 5 months. I have had several different smart watches but what appealed to me about the Pixel 4 watch was not only for all the current features that I can immediately take advantage of, like Steps, specific workout selections, energy burned, heart rate, floors climbed, etc. As I continue this path (I have lost over 30lb), I have increased my walking, started light running but also explore other activities.
Now for the design, this (I have the 45mm) face is amazing. It is by far the brightest and clearest to read. The Actua 360 domed display provides an edge-less design, it’s unique and when people see it, they ask which watch this is! It’s also made with Gorilla Glass and is dust, water and scratch resistant, perfect for the active lifestyle.
This watches Health tools are incredible. The Dashboard shows things like sp02, breathing rate, heart rate, skin temperature and variability of heart rate. The sleep tracking shows details which measure the quality of your sleep. It tracks time spent in the various sleep phases such as light, deep, REM and then provides you with sleep scores you can use to gauge the quality of your sleep. You can also store your medical condition, medications and blood type on the watch so that if you make emergency calls, your info can be provided to first responders.
Ok, so here is one of the coolest things. I use Googles AI Tool Gemini all the time for work and non-work on my personal and work laptops. Now, the Pixel 4 has Gemini built in! Just long press the button above the crown button and Gemini pops up! You can press the microphone and give it any normal question or prompt. It’s awesome if you quickly need an answer and don’t want to open or pull out your phone. Google has used a higher power co-processor for an improved AI experience. You can also leverage it’s ability to work across apps like calendar and mail.
For the safety conscious, there are some amazing features as well. It’s the first smartwatch to be able to use SOS satellite communications. It enables you to connect to Emergency services even when Cell and Wifi are not available. Loss of pulse detection which can connect to emergency services, which can provide quicker response to medical services even when you cannot. It has fall and car crash detection but also has a feature called Safety check which can be set up for example if you go out for a walk or run. You set the timer and if the timer runs out without your intervention, it will notify your emergency contacts. Really Cool !
In addition to seamlessly integrating with all other Google apps like Wallet and maps, the battery life on this thing beats anything I have had before. The specs say 40 hours on the 45mm and 72 with battery saver. I have been getting every bit of 40+ without having to go on battery saver mode.
Overall, I am very happy with this decision to get Google Pixel 4! It seems like every day I discover new things to do on it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who uses Google Pixel phones. I have the new Pixel 10 Fold and this is the perfect companion.

This is by far my favorite smart watch, in the 11 years that I've been wearing them. I don't even know where to begin with my praise for the Google Pixel Watch 4. It's such an improvement over my last watch (that I was perfectly content with) that I can't imagine going back to the old one.
First off, the battery life on this watch is incredible. I like to turn on all the features of my watch, so I activated the always on display, the tilt to wake, and the raise to talk, which activates Gemini (Google's AI Assistant) without having to use the activation phrase. After charging to full, I had it on from Friday night to Sunday morning when I put it back on the charger at around 20%. I didn't have to charge it again until Tuesday morning, where it was again at about 25%. It didn't even take long to charge up that morning. I set it on the charger while I took a shower and when I finished getting dressed it was at 100%. Speaking of the charger, the watch sets sideways into a groove instead of laying with its back flat against it in a shallow divot, and between the strong magnet and because of the way it stands on it, putting it on the charger and being sure that it was properly charging is way easier than the older style. In fact, if you do put it on the charger wrong, you'll get a phone notification warning you of the fact.
I really enjoy the various watch faces. I've settled on the stock Field face as it has the analog time with 4 customizable complications. Currently I'm displaying my step count, heart rate, weather, and a quick launch for the Fitbit app. I like that the complications still appear even when the AOD display is dimmed. The only thing I really lose is the second hand when the AOD display is dimmed. The Field face is another one that I enjoy. There's also a ton of 3rd party faces available, with some super creative ones that I might take for a spin.
The health features on this watch are pretty incredible and tightly integrated with the Fitbit app. I've found the step tracking to be pretty accurate, and the watch knows when I'm out for my mid-morning walk, giving me detailed heart rate stats when I've finished. The sleep tracking has been very accurate, and yet another reminder that I need to sleep more. I like how I get a morning notification that informs me of my sleep score as well as a readiness score, which shows how ready my body is for the day based on my sleep activity and what it knows about my usual activity level.
The watch came with both a large and a small silicone band, and the small band works fine for me. Getting the band on initially was a big finicky because of the unique slide mechanism instead of your bog standard set of lugs with the quick release bands. The band has plenty of holes placed close enough together to get a precise fit. I like to wear mine about an inch above my wrist bone so as not to accidentally press the crown with my hand. The silicone band keeps the watch in place without feeling any tightness at all. This may be the first smartwatch where I actually keep the stock band on.
Gemini, Google's latest AI assistant, can be activated either through a spoken phrase, pressing a dedicated button, or by enabling raise to talk, where it knows to start listening if it detects you bringing your watch to your mouth. While it does use up more battery life, there's plenty to spare. There is some lag while Gemini parses your request, but so far it understands how to turn on and off my lights and has been able to answer simple queries without me having to find wherever I put my phone.
For me, this is finally the experience we were promised when the first Android Wear commercials came out and we were all hyped about the future. No compromises on usage or battery life, with all the things finally working the way they should.

A step up from Pixel Watch 3 with slightly better battery life, a better screen, and faster response times overall, but still missing some key features, such as active blood oxygen sensing and more options for watch faces. The google assistant is still a bit spotty responding and the google Gemini is so slow responding it is almost unusable. However, the google assistant experience is still better than experiences I've had with Bixby on the Samsung watches. Overall, I recommend.
I would recommend this to a friend

Over the past ten years, I have used several Android wear devices. The Google Pixel Watch 4 may be the best yet. The screen is large, clear picture and bright. Even outside, it is easy to read and images/text look sharp.
The hardware feels fast and responsive. Swiping and tapping is smooth enough. Apps open quickly and the watch reacts well to touch.
I don’t love the domed glass from a style perspective. However, it does make the watch face easy to read and interact with. Its round face and slim design look modern, it does have a little bit of a spaceship aesthetic, but that might be the norm now a days. The Pixel Watch 4 comes in two sizes, 41 and 45mm, and 7 different band colors. It feels light and comfortable on the wrist.
Fitness features are strong. The watch tracks steps, heart rate, sleep, and workouts. Health tools are easy to use and give useful info for daily activity.
There are some drawbacks. The included rubber band is fine for what it is, but for the price I would have expected more. If you want a better band, options are pricey. The 'raise to talk' feature can be annoying and doesn’t always activate. I also wish you could use Gemini live instead of the standard transactional assistant.
The Pixel Watch 4 gives a great experience. It’s stylish, fast, and packed with fitness features. Despite a few small issues, I would recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable smartwatch for everyday use. Certainly better than the one I had 10 years ago!
