I've enjoyed the Pixelbook Go after moving on from the original Pixelbook. The screen's aspect ratio in my opinion is better for multi-tasking with the dual screen feature and far better for watching videos. I use this for my everyday person and work device and I can get everything done that I need. The keyboard that everyone is raving about is as good as advertised.
Now for the cons...I expect a $1000 laptop to have features like fingerprint, smartwatch, or facial recognition unlock. Similarly priced products from Microsoft, Apple, etc. have these capabilities. It's insane that Google would charge that much and leave out features like that. Also, if there are only going to be 2 colors, I don't believe Black and Pink should be the only options (yes, it's definitely pink). I exchanged for the black one. There should be a more neutral color if those other 2 are on the table.

Excellent Device, Still Limited

I got the Pixelbook Go because my Toshiba Chromebook 2's screen was failing, and it wasn't able to consistently participate in Zoom calls without being overtaxed. Almost every piece of the hardware experience was a significant improvement: better build quality, better speakers, better screen, better keyboard, better performance, better battery life, and a touchscreen that I honestly don't use much. The lack of an SD card slot and USB-A port was somewhat overcome by purchasing an inexpensive hub with both, along with others. I am still CPU limited at times, as the device doesn't use the latest chipset, but not much does in the Chromebook world.
Overall I've been extremely pleased with this PBG, and don't think that I really needed to get 16 GB model. I think that any normal Chrome OS user would do fine getting any model of this device. Keep your eye out for newer models of similar build quality with a more up-to-date version of Intel's chips, though.

Exactly what I wanted... researched several months for what I wanted/needed in a laptop...the Google Pixel go has not disappointed. Easy to set up, navigate, great picture, fast, lightweight...has everything I need.

...but still a Chromebook. Look, I love them, but I always end up having to go do something on my Mac or an old Windows computer. However, it's getting closer and closer. If the Android apps worked better it would be a replacement. When I'm just in ChromeOS, it's great. I didn't mess around with Linux much but it does work well.
I think the Chromebook is about 90 percent there. It's got a better keyboard than the Macbook Air, but the Macbook's screen is better and you can run macOS programs for the same money. Battery life is better on the Chromebook though.

Pricey. But it works much better than the crappy school Google chromebooks. Does not slow down during zoom.

During this time of viruses, school has taken a turn from brick and mortar to home or home and in-house school. The Chromebook is playing a major role. I bought this one with more 'bells and whistles' than the students use - because frankly, I will be using it more and with slightly different uses. This one fills my needs more than adequately.

I’ve owned several chromebooks over the years. This is the best yet. The performance is stellar, and the keyboard feels great. That’s the only reason for 4 stars. The only thing I would like to see is a 14” model. The 13.3” is doable, but the difference in comfort and screen real estate on a 14” makes it right in the sweet spot. It’s not to heavy and is still very portable, yet there is just enough display and space to make it extremely comfortable. The 15” is nice, but not nearly as comfortable to travel with all day. I do the this device.

Purchased this so that my daughter had her own electronic to complete her distance learning for the school year. It works just fine, but there are some items that I was not able to access, but this might be because of the way it was set up. She has to use her school account, my account and then her own account to get all the work done because of her age. I wish the screen was bigger, but she loved is and was able to finish out the school year. Purchased to last her until she get to college, I hope!

It has an excellent display, a backlit keyboard and a nice keyboard. The trackpad is really good compared to my other Chromebooks (Samsung). The unit is thin. Chromebooks are minimalist by design. I really like it.

This seems to be a very good computer. The picture is very clear. Bought this computer for my daughter. She starts college this fall. Due to covid-19, classes are remote right now. So far, so good.

I spent over $1000 on my pixelbook go and purchased the reccomended Office365 bundle with it. Turns out, office365 is not supported on ChromeOS. ChromeOS can do most of what I need but this is a deal breaker. Couple this with just other random issues like sound not working on embedded youtube videos. Now today, the device is already telling me I am almost out of space. I'm moving back to windows so I can use O365 and onedrive for the same price as my dropbox subscription. So until they work out these compatibility and support issues, it will still be windows for me.

Overpriced and less effective than a similarly priced laptop. Only positive I can say is it is harder to hack.
