After troubleshooting with Google tech support online, they concluded that there was a hardware fault, and that my device was out of warranty and therefore I should contact ubreakifix. Upon calling ubreakifix, they have no ideas on how to fix it, and instead say that Google would take back the broken device and give me a discount on a purchase of a new pixelbook. This is very disappointing customer service and product quality. As Google knows, this product is not cheap. If it dies 13 months after purchase, they should do more to rectify the situation.

I’ve had it for not even a year now and it was perfectly fine until a couple months ago. Constantly freezing while I’m working, turning off by itself, the charger doesn’t work on it anymore and I thought it was the charger but it was the Pixelbook itself. I don’t know why it did this all of a sudden but I’m not feeling it.

If your Pixelbook seems to be running slow or having other software issues, and you’ve attempted all other troubleshooting options, it may help to reset it. Performing a hard reset can help resolve certain issues, like a slow-running device. Once you initiate the hard reset, your device will fully shut down before restarting. All programs will be closed, any unsaved data will be lost, and your operating system will go through the full startup process. A hard reset will not remove your accounts or personal data from your device, although it is possible that some local files (or changes to those files) might be lost if not properly saved. See Related articles for more information on saving and backing up your information before proceeding. To perform a hard reset, here are the steps:
- Turn off your device by holding down the PowerPower, or selecting the time in the bottom right and choosing Power Power.
- Wait 1 minute.
- While pressing and holding the Refresh key Refresh, tap the PowerPower.

It is not only the best chromebook experience, but it is also one of the best laptops period. Unless you need a specific windows-only program this is the laptop to get.

I purchased then returned 3 different computers before trying the Pixelbook. I wanted a larger laptop but quality was my main priority, and I found that quality feel with the Pixelbook.

My son kept showing me schoolwork on it and I kept forgetting to not touch the screen. This made me switch between screens. Very happy with this purchase.

One of the things I use these devices for is to read in a chair. That's cumbersome with a keyboard that doesn't hinge out of the way or which doesn't detach. I also like a removable SD card which this doesn't have, but that's not a deal killer. Note: When I did a Google search for a Chromebook with a detachable keyboard, this was one of the choices.
