I replaced an apple AirPort Extreme system, and this setup has been nothing but easy and great. I don’t really know it’s there because once it’s set up, I’ve essentially just forgotten about it. I’m getting over 150mb/s in terms of speed (I have a 200mb/s plan from my provider) so these things can provide plenty of bandwidth for most anything the typical household would need. Also, priority feature is nice when streaming 4K

I had another company's (N***) wifi router for the past few years and the connections were dropping like crazy almost every day disrupting my work and the kids school work. Been using this Google WIFI for more than a month ( as of writing this review) and not a single dropped connection. Happy. Had some initial trouble in setting it up as my router was in the basement and I had the connections come from basement to another room on the first floor. Once I got that figured out, setup was easy enough( my setup is not not normal in most cases). Took about an hour though to setup all 3 routers. So far all has been good with good internet speeds and with 10+ connections most of the time to TV, phones, heating systems, computers etc. Happy with the quality of product and network and hope it does not degrade over time.

I bought the three pack of routers to create a mesh network. It was the simplest setup process I have ever experienced in setting up routers. The result was great signal and speed in all areas of my house. I don"t care if there aren't any advanced setup features. All most people need is a router that works well and reliably. That is what you get with the Google router. Not cheap, but definitely worth the money.

My son had purchased this system and was so happy with the way the "mesh" system improved the wifi throughout his entire home, that I was convinced I needed a similar setup to cover the "dead zones" in my home. The system was super easy to set up and has worked flawlessly from the moment it was turned on. I couldn't be more pleased with the ease of setting it up and the coverage it now provides to my home.

It was hard to give up the simplicity and strong performance of my Apple extreme and time capsule. However, the benefits of having a true mesh system that extended range and full speed throughout the house motivated the switch to Google wifi. After about 2 months of use, I can say the system as a whole has worked very well. I did a speed test in multiple locations around the house ranging from 10 feet to about 45-50 feet and the Google wifi router outperformed my Apple system by about 10-50% depending on distance. My Apple routers were generally rock solid and rarely required a reboot. However, the Google routers have had a couple minor network interruptions in the 2 months but didn't have a lasting impact. Generally, the network is easy to setup and the app provides a good interface. Overall, Google offers a strong competitor in the wireless mesh space and after factoring cost, is among the best choices for large coverage.

This router has completely changed my home internet. Before it was spotty and slow, now it’s consistently lightning fast and the mobile app that comes with it is SO much easier than having to open up the computer and log into the router. I was actually just going to buy another Apple Airport because I’d had one of those before, but I’m so glad I let the Best Buy employee talk me into this one instead!

I have had a horrible time with extenders and boosters so I was a little worried about paying for a mesh. Boy was I wrong! Google Wifi is amazing and is the answer to a prayer. Super easy set up that is from an app and not your computer. I went from very spotty Wifi to 100% signal strength throughout the entire house (my home is 3000 sq ft). For the price, simplicity, and ability this is a sure bet.

This unit is small and doesn't have those pointy antennas but it is no less powerful. The signal strength is good at far end corner of the house.I also like the accompanying app that help me control the devices connected and also let me prioritize the traffic to any connected device of my liking. I knew the features before I bought this and they all worked as described. A satisfied customer here:)

I was going to buy a traditional router when the very helpful Best Buy associate suggested the google wifi mesh router. My issue was a two story home with my modem hookup being on one end of the upper floor. My wifi reception deteriorated significantly on the lower floor with my older router and I didn't want to run into the same problem. The google router works great and I am very pleased with my purchase. Setup was clean and the google app walked me through step by step as if I had a real person talking me through it. The app also is very good for monitoring the network post setup and gives some very nice network diagnostic and control choices. I decided on two single units rather the the 3 set box and my coverage is fine in a 2500 square foot house. I put one upstairs and one down at pretty much opposite ends of the house. The units look very futuristic and unobtrusive. I highly recommend this router.

Upgraded my previous dual band router to Google due to weak coverage in our lower level of the house. Set up was unbelievably easy, and we now have complete coverage and strong signal throughout the house. The app is awesome. Highly recommend this system!

I have a google OnHub, and wanted to add a Google WIfi to reach those hard to reach areas in my home. I have a 3k Sq/Ft home, and have over 26 devices linked to my wifi network at once. I have devices in my garage and back yard. My speeds and dropping has always been a issue in my farther reach devices. Since adding google Wifi I have had no drops, I am getting all the speeds I pay for (200MB) and can stream all my devices at once with no degradation of service. Its so good, that I called and dialed down my internet speed because I don"t need it. Saving an extra 20 a month on internet service. I am about to drop my service again and see my results. Bottom line, is there is a reason there sold out all over the internet, and double the price on ebay. This works...Period, mesh networking is the future, its easy on the wallet and worth every penny.

Bought these for my parents originally because I wanted something I thought was easy enough for them to use. I was happy to find out I can remote administer them. I was so impressed with the performance and coverage in their home that I bought these to upgrade my own network. I have much better coverage in my home now too and performance as been great. I would recommend them to anyone.

I have tried many routers over the year's and this is the best one yet. Not only does it cover the whole house (and garage) each access point can hardwire into up to 2 devices. The app is also super user friendly my wife (not too techy) can prioritize what ever device she is streaming on to guarantee a smooth stream. Only issue is a wish they had browser access to maintain everything.

This system was a piece of cake to set up from my iPhone. One thing though is you have to not be connected to the network to set it up which I don’t fully understand and am unsure if it was just me. However when I would shut the WiFi off on my phone and use my cellar connection things worked well to setup. Now that I am all set up this system is reliable. Two Apple TV boxes, a fire stick and a bunch of tablets phones and computers using a 100mb cablevision connection and I have had no issues with my family watching videos in all parts of the house at the same time while also using my computer. The system itself is attractive and small. I live in a split level house that constantly had a lot of connectivity issues but this seems to have solved them. The google WiFi app is straightforward enough to use and I am satisfied with it.

I did my research, read a ton of articles on mesh networks and finally decided on Google WiFi. I have Verizon FiOS and was worried about all the issues I read with setting it up and getting double NAT issues or inability to use some of the FiOS Mobile functionally. Looking back now, I was worried about nothing! Setup was extremely simple, the hardest part was remembering my FiOS router password. I disabled the 2.4Ghz wireless band in FiOS router settings and then followed the Google WiFi setup steps. Done. Setup took about 15 minutes total for the 3 WiFi points. Results?? Consistently fast internet throughout my house. I was amazed at how easy this was to actually setup and even more amazed at the actual results. Bottom line... If you've got some dead spots in your house, purchase this and get rid of weak internet.

CONs: The device is amazing for an AC1200 device. I was skeptical at first, because I always use high end wireless routers i.e. RT-AC3100 by Asus. but the google wifi reaches where the router with $65 extender couldn't. Quick easy setup with the app from the play store. I can turn devices on or off at any time and schedule times that certain devices are allowed on the wifi. I live in a 3,000 sq ft house and the wifi devices have to transmit through a wall and a floor. I still have 14mps 30 foot away from one of the meshed google wifi devices. Amazing. CON: You CANNOT separate the 5 from the 2.4 gHz signal. If you have a wireless printer installed, and that printer works only on 2.4G signal you will have connection issues. You will have to set up wifi direct on the printer. I had to do this for two bother MFC printers. Not a big issue, just an inconvenience.

Before buying Google WiFi I was using an Apple Airport Express for my ~2500 sq. Ft. Home. It did pretty well in most scenarios but there were dead spots and sometimes speeds were less than stellar. These little little units were extremely easy to set up and our home WiFi has been transformed. There are no dead spots, sipped is consistent, and I love the user interface of the app.

I loved the packing and how easy and simple it is to setup. The wireless wi-fi mesh router system is the future. The reason we purchased this was because our wireless router couldn't reach our outdoor cameras. So with this, we easily placed one router by the cameras and the rest near the living room and the master bed room. We were easily able to target our high traffic areas.

Bought to replace a standard router and extender, huge upgrade in WiFi coverage and reliability throughout the house. I have a medium sized house and I now get coverage even outside to the street. Very easy to set up and phone app is great to test the system and keep track of usage. Highly recommend.

Really easy to set up. I set this up for a coworker and she really loves it in her multi-story home. Its greatly increased her converge and the reliability of her wiles connection. I've recommended this to several friends and they love it.
