Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

I was just a little disappointed that with the third wifi set up the signal was not stronger. I realize that the router/modem is at the extreme end of one side of the house and my bedroom (where the signal is weak) is at the complete opposite, but according to the description, it sounded like it would do the trick quite nicely. It did give me wifi in my bedroom where I can download, etc., but still the signal measures weak. There are a lot of walls and turns to the bedroom so that might be a factor.

    Wifi Extended Throughout House!

We can now get internet in our basement and office area at the far end of the house! This product is great for that!! However, since the day we hooked it up, it is interfering with our wireless printer's ability to connect to random devices which never happened before. If we get an error message when trying to print, we have to unplug the main wifi pod each time to allow printing to happen. While that is extremely annoying, the system solved a much larger problem of getting wifi throughout the house.

Purchased Google WiFi system after purchasing Ring doorbell because my existing WiFi was not strong enough to support the Ring system as well as the fact that if 2 of us were using WiFi we had a terrible signal. Easy installation and great support from Google!! Much better WiFi now!

I have a 940 square foot house and get no wifi in the back so I bought the set of 3 first. Set one up in the living room next to the router and set the second in my bedroom which isn't far at all! Yet the two wouldn't connect saying they were too far apart from each other. I ran a cat 5 ethernet cable from the livingroom to my bedroom and set up the one which ended up working alone throughout my whole house so I took the three back and bought the single one. Working great now!

Bought this for the appearance and quality of the brand. I find Google to offer one of the best support services and develop the best products. They constantly update their products and basically run the world. I have no regrets and love this router more than anything.

    Fine when they work

These are easy enough to set up using Google's app and, when they work, they do the job well enough. With the points not directly connected to the modem, I notice a lag in loading content from apps and devices like a firestick or smart tv. This is even despite the app telling me that I have "blazing fast" internet speeds. In fact, there are even times when the TV directly next to the main access point will just sit and buffer. With regards to the app, the initial set up is simple to follow. However, doing anything beyond that is frustrating. There are no troubleshooting methods via the app. In fact, the app sometimes even waits until I launch it to see if something's wrong to push a notification saying I've been offline for hours. Despite all of this, for the first year or so, these worked well enough for my needs. After the year mark, they have begun losing internet connection completely for no discernible reason. At least once a month, I find myself power cycling the modem and access point in an attempt to get the access point to see the internet (other devices that are cabled directly into the modem work fine so it's not the modem or ISP). Tl;dr this device is fine for simple internet usage. Streaming can be hit or miss. The app is useless for anything beyond initial setup. Frequent connectionnissues after about a year.

With more and more devices in the house and now ring product cameras we needed something stronger for our WiFi... BEST MONEY SPENT! WiFi never cuts off anymore and can be used in any point of the house.. so worth it

It took only minutes to plug in the units and use the app to find the best locations, and blanket the house in Wi-Fi with strong signals and higher speeds, using cable internet, instead of DSL. No glitches and no problems since it was powered on. Goodbye forever to repeaters and extra accounts.

I live in an older building with concrete and rebar construction. The Wifi signal did not reach well beyond the living room, so I wanted to increase its effectiveness. I consulted a Best Buy employee and he recommended this product. I am very happy to have a strong signal throughout my home.

I was having trouble getting a good Wifi signal upstairs in my house. I was recommended this product by an employee at my local Best Buy, the mesh function was a breeze to setup and solved my problem. If you are looking for an easy and excellent product, this is it.

Wanted to extend out wifi to other end of house. We have ADSL with Frontier so our choices are limited. Geeks came out and recommend this set up. They got it working are it has been great. Just some concerns with the security aspect of Google as a company.

The system was set up less than 30min. All dead spots were eliminated after the wi-fi system was set up. Now I have Wi-Fi reception from the front yard to the back of the backyard. I connected a 8-port Switch to the pod attached to the modem and then connected my hue; everything works fine.

This worked great. All I had to do was hook up the 1st Google Wifi hub with an Ethernet cable to my current router, followed the set up instructions to run it and voila it was up and running. Then I took the next 2 hubs and set them around the house followed the simple instructions so they were recognized and now have good reception around the home as well as outdoors on a front porch about 50 ft away with walls in-between (about 2 bars) and able to play internet games at that location without problems.
