Customers are saying

Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

Each unit does not seem to cover much distance. I was assuming we could cover our 2,000 square foot home with these three units, and that is not the case.

The geek squad installed it. It was supposed to be much better than what I had but I do not notice any increase in the ability to get onto the internet. It also costs alot.

Did not work as well as I heard it would. Maybe it is good for open spaces, but if you are trying to extend signal down hallways, around walls, it did not accomplish that.

    Slower speeds than expected

We tried several other mesh systems in our home and Google WiFi is the only one that worked - so that's the good news. We have Spectrum with 200/10 speeds. I can get this speed if I'm in the same room as the "main" unit. However, the remainder of our house rarely gets above 100/10. Most of the time download speeds are in the 60s and 70s. I did some reading online and found this to be a common problem with the Google WiFi - and it's apparently a problem that Google could fix!

It may work for some, but we ended up returning system & purchased Netgear instead. It just didn't do the job of boosting signal up 4 levels in my home.

Purchased 1 google WiFi and 1 extra one to complete a mesh network. So a complete total of two. Read great reviews and figured I’d give it a try. After using it for 6 months my family and I are still having the same slow bandwidth prior to this purchase. The google WiFi mesh setup cannot handle multiple devices and keep up the speed due to it being dual band and not Tri band. I ended up upgrading to Netgear Orbi and what a difference so far so Good.

These work good for the items that are Duel frequency enabled, but if you have an item that works just one frequency you will have problems.

Decent for the budget not tri band, lacks detailed control vs xfi account options, speed testing isn't accurate, & drops internet sometimes.

I'm a fan of pretty much any product that Google has, so when I got the opportunity to acquire this wi-fi system, I couldn't resist. Simplicity of setup: The initial set up took me about 10 minutes. This was due to having to remove my old wi-fi network, and disabling my initial wi-fi router/extender. To install, it was as simple as plugging the unit in, and downloading an app from the Google Play store. The phone guided me through the steps for setup. Additionally, the app guided me through the process of setting up my additional wi-fi points. The entire process took about 15 minutes. Once set up, it was easy to get my devices on the network (TV, tablet, phone, Xbox, etc). Use: I live in a 3500 sq. ft. home, and Google wi-fi easily covers all of the areas downstairs and upstairs. Signal strength is always full, regardless of which room I am in. Features: I especially like the family feature, that allows me to disable certain devices in the evening, so that my kids aren't tempted to watch videos or play games when they go to bed, or, more importantly, during dinner. It's as easy as opening up the app, and turning the feature on. Overall: I would highly recommend this system to anyone reading this, or, even my friends. It was just really easy to set up, and in my opinion, another home run for Google. The only wires are the plugs, and the cable to the router on the main unit. The devices are small and even look stylish, as if they are part of the decor. The set up was easy, and didn't require a PC to complete. I set everything up with the app on my phone. How's that for simplicity?
