Customers frequently mention the ease of use, excellent coverage, and straightforward setup of the Google Wifi AC1200 system. Many also praise the improved signal strength and extended range, resulting in better overall performance. While some users experienced connectivity challenges, the positive feedback on performance and ease of use outweighs these concerns. A few customers noted the system's higher price point.

My router is in the basement, making wifi spotty throughout the rest of my house. I bought the three pack, and I now have strong wifi all through the house. 2 story house, plus a basement. No more buffering anywhere in the house.

I am a bit of tech head so used to having to go beyond "easy setup". This 3 piece set up was as advertised by Google. Easy Set up. Not dissappointed.
Seems Google is taking over the mantle that was once Apple. They used to be easy and plug and play.

Replaced a Netgear Nighthawk with Google Wifi in a home over 3,500 sqft. Totally solved any lag or buffering we were seeing with the Nighthawk. The mesh network was pretty easy to set up and is running perfectly since setup.

I just bought an xbox one, literally set it up and my belkin router gives up on me. I tried to reset it numerous times and finally give in. I head back to Best Buy just to learn more about wifi and routers and no intention of buying anything. A very knowledgeable associate points me to Google Wifi and after the conversation I could not help but buy it. My modem is in my basement and my xbox is on 3rd floor. Plug one in the modem and spread other two throughout to make the mesh. Insanely easy on the app and best connection I've ever had. I am so amazed I have told every one about it so far and check my "blazing download speed" update on my app every hour. Laptops, iPad, fire sticks, phones all running perfect!

Lovely packaging (I plan to reuse the box). Setup of three pods took approximately 45mins. Google app requires bluetooth & locator to be turned on during the setup. After first hub setup, app would report error configuring additional wifi points. Editing each additional wifi point, however, seemed to fix the problem. It reported a couple devices on the wifi as "Chrome OS device", but didn't report device name to make it easier to determine what else was on the network.

I am very pleased with this solution, the most competitively priced solution and so far works great. Allows everything to connect and the speeds appear to be faster than my AT&T Wifi Router.

No wonder Google is progressing well in the Device arena. This device proves that. The setup is so simple and the User Interface of the App will enhance that. Its as simple as.. Connect, Scan Barcode and Go.

This was a breeze to set up, and I have a 2 story, 1500 sq ft house, and have strong reception in all rooms, even upstairs (set up one unit in center of house in family room). Even have a signal out in the garage (not as strong, but usable). The app is great. You can limit the which devices have access. The app is connected to your google account, and you can check all kinds of info about your network remotely (even when you are not logged into the network). I was able to pause someone's access, and check that the network was working remotely. I would highly recommend this device. I previously had the Apple Airport Express, and I can't get wifi in the next room with the Airport Express.

Setup was super simple. The app is very simple and actually has a ton of cool features, if you know where to find them (e.g. connected devices, data usage per device, port forwarding, guest network, etc). You don't even need to be home to manage the network after it's set up. I didn't mind at all that it was app-based only. You won't miss the web interface of other routers after using this app!
With my old router, I used to spend more time troubleshooting my network than actually using it. With this router, not anymore! Finally, a router that just works!
NOTE: If you have more than 1 wired device to connect, you will need a switch - a very minor inconvenience.

Bringing it Back

Great looking unit with an cool cell phone interface. However, after a few days we started to experience connectivity problems with both Ipads. No problems with our other devices (LG TV, Brother printer, windows 10 desktop). One Ipad is older (10.3.3) and the other newer (11.0.3). Both are running most recent updates. Rooms that had been OK at first lost coverage, even though the wireless signal was identified as good by the Google app on the phone. The problems have slowly gotten worse in the week since we bought it. Based on this experience, and reading Google wifi forums, my guess is that there is some compatibility issue with Apple. I'm not a tech person, and will take it back while I can get my money back.

Fantastic Router

Aesthetically and Functionality wise, this router will not disappoint. Been wanting one of these for a long time and finally pulled the trigger when I was in the middle of watching my favorite TV show on Sling and then it crashed and I missed the best part--side note, I had to wait till the NEXT WEEK to see it again. But back to the router. Amazing, never had any problems with crashes, interferences, or slowness. Also very easy to set up and looks amazing. Has a google pixel/iPhone feel to it which looks nicer than any other router I have seen. ALSO it is tiny compared to other routers!

Have had an airport and AirPort Extreme over the last 5 or so years. I have Comcast and noticed an increase in resets throughout the day as well as drops. Read the reviews and figured I'd give this a try. My wifi speeds have increased and I've had no resets since. Running 8 devices at any given time. Notable speed increase, no lag whatsoever! Easy to monitor devices connected etc. well worth it. Used in a 1200sq ft apartment.

I was running a Cisco router with Comcast service and had nothing but problems. I have lots of smart home devices running including 5 HD cameras and I was constantly dropping service even with 60gps modem speeds. Finally decided it was time to upgrade my router and Google didn’t disappoint. I went from spotty 10mbps download speeds to 70+mbps everywhere in my house. I’ve had no issues with any of my smart home products and the transition was a lot more smooth than I anticipated.

Just up'ed my service to 200Meg. Needed to get something to deliver that speed. First bought the Netgear AC1900. Didn't work like the sales guy promised it would. When I talked to a different sales guy, he said the Google WiFi would work well for my situation. It would work better than a router and would cost less than the Orbi Mesh and work just as well. Since I have a couple Google Home Mini's that work great, I thought what the heck. Not good advice. The modules would not talk to each other (they were 8-10 feet apart, nothing in-between.). When I could connect to the main hub, it dropped connection to the wire internet about 3/4's of the time. And when it did connect, the download speed was 1.5Meg (Did I mention I have 200Meg service). I've seen a lot electronic devices that I would call bad but, this takes the cake. After taking this back, I talked to our IT guys at work, they have heard nothing but bad stuff about this product. Google (or their partners) should have never released this. I ended up going with the Netgear AC3200 - AHHHHHHHH......... It covers my little house just fine and no dropped packets. By the way, my speed is now 215Meg. Side note: Google WiFi is too "smart" for some locations. You can not manage your own network. "It will do it for you." Maybe that is fine if you have a few devices but with my almost 20 devices, that doesn't fly with me (you can only assign a device to the higher speed up to 4hrs.). Also, it needs to work out of the box. This unit didn't. Again, JUNK!
